I had a good experience at this location for their scalp treatment service. Plenty of parking in the same lot as H Mart in Niles. Service was professional and friendly upon calling for booking an appt. I arrived early and Lina was flexible with me. She was lovely and did a great job on the detoxification process as well as the finishing blowout. We also had pleasant convo and felt at ease throughout my time there. My only complaint would be that the fluorescent lightening is a bit too bright but it helps that they place a towel over your eyes while shampooing you. read more

This salon is conveniently located at civic center plaza so you will be able to get a quick bite at Hmart before or after your hair cut. I like this salon because it's very clean and well maintained. The staff is also polite and friendly. I went in for a quick hair trim and for layers. I showed them a picture for what kind of haircut I wanted and they missed the mark a bit but I still ended up with pretty hair so I'm not upset about it. read more

The salon was clean. Ambiance was so so. We called 1 hour before closing to make sure we can get in. Told us no problem. Show up 15minutes later and the Korean lady asked us for our appointment and what time it was for... and made it sound like we couldn't get a hair cut as they're close to closing time, however one of the Spanish speaking person said that she told us we were welcome and she told us over the phone to come. The Korean ladies weren't very welcoming nor did they seem enthusiastic about cutting our kids hair... so the Spanish speaking lady cut it. Called at 1100 am, made an appointment for hair coloring and a hair cut for my daughter at 4 pm. Arrived at 3:50. No one was at the front desk, nor did anyone greet us. we saw a chair and sat down. By 4:15, nobody came to talk to us as we didn't exist. So I walked up to one korean lady who was cutting hair and asked how much longer should we wait, she didn't even look at me and said: just wait a little. My Daughter and I went back to the chair, waited another 40 minutes, still, no one came to talk to us or update us. I got up and went to the back and talked to another lady, she said she was done and it would be our term. By this time, my daughter already lost her excitement for new color for her hair and felt we already waited for an hour, it was too late to walk out. So she decided just to have a haircut. The quality of haircut was mediocre, could be better. When paying, the worker asked if we pay tip by cash or credit cards as we MUST pay tip. She was tipped generously with cash. The only person who was kind and friendly and polite with a smile was the Spanish speaking young lady who washed hair. So there you go, after one hour wait, we had to abandon our original plan and received a so so hair cut. Whose lose is it? Both, the business and the customer if you have lousy management. I typically go to the one in Glenview but had to cancel the appointment there due to heavy traffic and wasn't going to make it. I called this location to see how busy they would be at 1pm on Sunday, was told I would needed to wait, which was fine. I walked in and was greeted, was asked to sit and wait. I waited 15 minutes; looked like there was only one lady cutting hair for walk-ins, although this other lady was done and doing nothing... not sure what that was all about. It took about 30 minutes to get my cut and a wash... I asked for short on the sides and back, the lady cut it semi short lol.... longer than what I wanted... I would have stayed and asked that the lady cut it shorter, but I had to catch the train back to the city for meetings. Yeah, if it wasn't for the meeting, I would have stayed and got it cut shorter... but having experienced this location and one in Glenview, the Glenview folks are better, so yeah... I'll stick to Glenview location. read more

I'll start this with saying, I know it's not an easy job to be a hair stylist, and despite my horrible experience, I still tipped because I feel it's just wrong not to. That said: The hairdresser (she had a long ponytail but no name tag so I don't know her name) started my appointment 30min late with no updates throughout the wait and no apologies until I expressed displeasure at the wait, she didn't clean her tools, she didn't clean the hair all over the ground from the person right before me and I nearly slipped on it, she caught my earring twice in her comb so badly I winced, she complained how tired she was multiple times during my appointment and tried to evoke sympathy several times (the only times she spoke to me), caught my hair in the back of her blow dryer and ripped it, told me not to be mad when she was done and I was obviously displeased with the horrible haircut and the entire experience, then made sure I gave her a tip (asking multiple times about the amount to charge on the card, even though I had planned to tip her anyway since I've worked a low pay job and know how hard it is to do that). I would never, ever come here again. And I highly suggest no one comes here. The service is really bad and the hair cutting skill is also *really* bad. It's worse than most Great Clips and costs twice as much. read more

Judy is so nice! Used to go to a place nearby that was significantly more expensive but this place does just as a good of a job at a better price. I love the process of getting my hair shampooed because it's so relaxing! Not to mention they have a Nespresso machine so their coffee is soooooo good. It hasn't been super busy for the past 3 times I've gone, but I always avoid busy Saturdays so that might be the reason. I've visited several times differently: called & made appointments on that day, called ahead a week in advance & made appointments, as well as a walk in. All were fine. It's my new go to place for my hair! Not to mention I am a very picky person with hair so I can only go to 1 stylist and will stick to that person. They really care customers. They will communicate with you a lot to make sure that they get the exact hairstyle you want. I love it! But the Korean lady who washed my hair definitely can be more gentle. It hurts a lot.. Also the perm does not last long. I spent 200 bucks and it lasts less than two months. I went to this place for the first time early Friday afternoon. There were only a few customers in the shop including me. I got my perm done by Cindy and she did a wonderful job. First, she carefully listened to how I wanted my hair to be cut and what my needs were. At the same time, she didn't forget to tell me her professional opinions without pushing me much.
