I was disappointed. The website paints a good picture, so I thought I would try it. I stayed at the Madison Inn for an appointment with the Eye Clinic. I went to the bar, loud music and they were busy. I could find no place to order food. The staff looked at me as I stood there and walked off. As if I was not there, I went back to the hotel and ordered a pizza. I'm guessing it's not for seventy-five-year-olds. I should have been there thirty years ago. read more

I'd heard lots of good things about Park Inn and wasn't disappointed. It's basically a neighborhood watering hole with pizza and pub grub. It has a divided bar and restaurant area, and we ate in the restaurant with our newborn and toddler. Definitely kid-friendly--they even had some toys and a section of arcade games. The pizza is middlebrow and no-frills for sure, but I'd say it's probably the tastiest possible version of that. We had the Old Combo. The cheese was perfect, and the sausage was deliciously well seasoned. The crust was a nice, crunchy thin crust. If you're looking for a place to watch a game, get a drink with friends, or just go out for pizza and beer at a mom-and-pop-style establishment, Park Inn is an excellent spot. read more

The Park Inn is a cool dive bar a few minutes from downtown Spokane. It's a generally older crowd with a mix of music from classic rock to more hard core rock (and I'm sure other genres as well). They have good food for a bar and a good selection of beers both local and from out of town. Pours are generous and prices are reasonable. A good place to grab a beer and a bite if you're in town as I was. It's within walking distance to the Madison Inn hotel, which makes it a cool and convenient spot to checkout if you're staying at the hotel. read more

Came to Spokane to see a comedy show and ended up here for food and drinks. Service was outstanding and the burger was really good. Love a locals spot like this. Well, this was strange. I went to to the PI for a retirement get together for a coworker from SHMC. I hadn't been there for years. I ordered 1 beer. I didn't know how much it was, so I gave the waitress $6. She said it's $4.50, grabbed the $6 and walked off. When I went to leave for the evening the same waitress came up to me and said "you need to pay". I told her I paid in cash for the 1 beer I had. She insisted that I had ordered several drinks while I was visiting with other co workers. I did not. I told her I paid for the 1 bud light I ordered in cash. I don't know where the confusion came from, but she was very insistent and rude. I was with my husband the whole time. He had to step in and inform her that she was mistaken. She threw up her hands and said "whatever" and stormed off. I will not return for a repeat visit with that sort of behavior from the staff. read more

Don't let the wear and tear on this place fool you, the food is great here and the staff are very friendly. Add to that the prices are very competitive and you can fuel up without crushing your wallet. I have only had pizza here, but they do a great job. The crust is thin and crispy, but even if you prefer a thicker crust don't be turned off because the flavor is excellent. Have tried several different pizza offerings and cannot pick a favorite. It is safe to say if you like pizza at all you will find something here to enjoy. I deducted one star because this place has a VERY slow kitchen. It hasn't really been a problem for me because I know to budget extra time for this place. If you are in a hurry you may want to try Lalo's across the street, as they are pretty fast whipping out the pies. I don't see Park Inn changing any time soon, as they purposefully seem to be aiming for the sit back, have a few drinks, relax and your food will be along kind of vibe. And sometimes that is ok. I just know there are a lot of times I have skipped Park Inn because the clock was not on my side that day. Other than that, Park Inn is hard to beat. read more

Ordered dinner tonight and Martin answered the phone....I was not going to get my normal sandwich because I like it very altered and it's been wrong the last few times, meaning I need to go get it again they are always great about remaking it, it just takes a long time to go back. Martin told me that if I wanted MY SANDWICH to get it tonight, he's the guy to talk to!!! He told me that if it wasn't correct to give HIM a call tomorrow, We'll, apparently he was just the right guy!!! I just had the BEST sandwich I have ever gotten from there and my husband's was AMAZING TOO!!! My husband brought it home with my awesome Minestrone soup and it is ALL GONE, ALL OF IT, or I'd submit a picture!! The REALLY AWESOME PART?!?!? I always drive by here and finally got a chance to stop in. The personal pizza was just enough food and delicious. My husband had the Monte Cristo and he said it was amazing! We were a little disappointed when we ordered the mac and cheese bites off the menu when someone from the kitchen said they actually didn't have them anymore. I like Park Inn because they have pizza that is on relatively thinner crust and they have green olives! I love green olives on pizza and wish more places offered them as a topping. We also had a salad with our pizza. Which was good and simple but the dressing was delicious. My only issue is that they used canned mushrooms rather than fresh and I don't care for canned mushrooms but aside from that the pizza was pretty good. I wouldn't say it stands out as being great, that I would make a special trip for but if I'm nearby I would certainly eat there again. There's a lot of history here at Park Inn, particularly that they claim to be the first pizza place in Spokane. They do a respectable pie that's moderately priced. Crust is good as well as the sauce but I was *stunned* to see canned mushrooms! That pretty much ruined the experience for me and makes me wonder WHY! I'd say to just skip the mushrooms if ordering but I *love* mushrooms on pizza! After a brief convo with the server I'm pretty sure that my (and other's) requests for fresh mushrooms are falling on deaf ears. While that reticence for change is bad for the pizza it's great for their broasted chicken. I would put their chicken in the top three in the city and I'd knock my mother out of the way for an order! Burgers are pretty average but still a mainstay for the burger & beer crowd. read more

Today four of my friends and I stopped by for a couple drinks and lunch. As always the food was very good. The problem was the bar service and the loud music. I know it is a bar but at 2PM with a small crowd, less than 15 people is it really necessary to play music so loud we couldn't even sit at out table and talk. We asked for the music to be turned down several times but even then we couldn't carry on a conversation at our table. There were two ladies working the bar and we still had problems getting service. And the place was not busy. Like the food but the noise and service will make me think twice before I go back again. Been there many times in the past but maybe time to move on. read more

We'd read about the chicken at the Park Inn and wanted to give it a try. I phoned in a take out order and the lady on the phone was very pleasant in taking my order and gave me an anticipated time it would be ready. We arrived to pick up our order and the staff was very friendly and expressed their appreciation for the business during this tough time for restaurants. It was Friday evening and they were pretty busy, but our order was ready within a few minutes. The worst part of our experience was the drive home and having to smell it! The chicken was terrific as advertised and the jojos were about the best I've had. It was enough food to save some for lunch the next day. We will definitely have their chicken again! read more

My kind of place. Pizza is excellent. Covered with cheese. Burgers and wings are solid. Mannys on tap is always a positive. Cool bar area with good TVs and big tables for gathering and watching a game. Then down the hall is a family seating area for the loud little kids and uncontrollable families. Which is nice. I do believe that after The Shack closed years ago, this place became the oldest continually running bar/restaurant in the city (circa 1932). Well, old and established does not equate to exceptional. The vaunted pizza was okay, and the thin crust was well prepared, but the bacon & onion we ordered didn't give us any toppings flavor. It was nice and cheesy, but when I order my fave combo I want it to taste like my fave combo. We also split a PI Club, and while it was very generous with meat and fixins, it tasted like they grilled it in unrefined olive oil. Weird, off, flavors that overpowered the sandwich. But it was a neat place inside. Like stepping into a 70's time warp, and a nice change from all the industrial chic that has been the millennial theme as of late. I will give them big ups for the joint being very clean, and having very nice bartenders, servers, and patrons. I'd hit them up again, but would probably order something else... read more

My favorite pizza in Spokane although tonight whoever made my pizza was going through the motions, most of the olives were on two slices, double sausage to pepperoni ratio and all of the green peppers were on one half. The cheese was thick in the middle and none on the edge. By far the worst pizza they have ever served me. The old combo was ruined. The place wasn't that busy either. For a $30 pizza it's only fair they at least put it together right, uncooked in the middle, actually done around the edges. read more

updated: 1/18/13 - we decided to give the park inn Pizza another shot, and were pleased. I follow my advice in my first review, and we had them use only 1/2 the cheese - the pizza was great - not greasy, and we enjoyed it. 1/2 the cheese made it seem less like a sloppy grease blob and more like a delicious dinner. The staff was also super friendly and helpful while I waited for the Zaaa. Am changing my rating from 3 stars, to 4. Will we go back? Yes, you betcha. Two thumbs up for friendly service. But don't go for the ambiance - we knew its theme was more "bar" with a touch of "dive" - but still, good food has no borders. Our family decided the crust was good, the sauce fine, sausages were yummy, but there was simply so much cheese on this pizza that the effecting greasy mass wasn't very good. Am never a fan of canned mushrooms on a pizza (seriously? WHY do this???? its like saying "we don't care enough about this pizza to put a fresh mushroom on it.".... or something like that. The end consensus - the pizza with 1/2 the cheese would be much better. So if we do go back, we'll order a pizza with 1/2 the cheese (special request)... maybe if I brought my own sliced fresh mushrooms, they would be kind enough to slip them onto the pizza before they popped it into the oven. The PI gets five stars because I can stroll over after a hard day of working at SHMC and enjoy a cold one with coworkers. The bartenders and cooks are always amazing and very nice. The same people have been working there forever so it's nice to see a friendly face after work. I'm a fan! so, my wife and her family have been coming here FOREVER!! we went up to visit and the first thing we did was drive straight here. i was craving a burger and a beer. so, yes, this place is pretty dive-y. but, the fact that i can sit there with my wife and mother in law and have a good meal is awesome. i ordered their double cheeseburger- i know its called something but i cant remember right now. it was delicious! its not all fancy or hipster-ific or trying to be anything its not. its just a really good burger. and i had a beer. what else do you want to know. oh yeah, their pizza is pretty good. see you next time im in town!! read more

I've worked at Sacred Heart and have driven past the Park Inn so many times. I finally decided to grab a burger from them and was not disappointed. I got the M.L. Single Slider - basically a cheeseburger w/ ham - to go. It was ready by the time I walked across from the Doctor's Building, and it was REALLY good! And the staff was super friendly.
