I almost called the police on John. He is extremely flaky. At the beginning of November, my boyfriend's power supply unit went out on his computer. After looking online, we came across John with his great reviews and decided to give him a call. After explaining what was wrong he offered to take a look at it. After that it took 2 weeks of us trying to contact him to look at it, because he wouldn't answer his texts or phone calls. That was the first red flag we should have paid attention to, but we figured since it was close to the holidays we gave him the benefit of the doubt. He finally answered our messages and came up to look at it and ended up having to take the computer to his house and had to order a new power supply unit. Told us the power supply was going to be delivered that Friday (only a few days from then) and he would let us know when it would arrive. We didn't hear back from him until 2 MONTHS later (January now) Despite us trying to again call and text him. Saying his work was keeping him busy and he would get back to us soon. I wanted to call the police because I thought John had just straight up stolen his computer, but my boyfriend again wanted to give the benefit of the doubt because it was still around the holidays. February now, and John finally got ahold of us and told us he would bring the computer back to us on x date. When that date came we didn't hear anything from him. Wouldn't answer our calls or texts, again. Finally after another 2 weeks he text us apologizing and said this has gone on long enough and he wanted to make things right and fix the computer (Does that mean he took it home and never looked at it?) The next day he said the new power supply unit he ordered doesn't work and he had to order another one. (I thought my boyfriend was crazy for not just saying No give me back my computer) John ordered another one and text us saying everything works and he was on his way to bring us back the computer (hallelujah). Dropped it off and when we went to turn on the computer, nothing happened. Nothing turned on at all. We ended up going to a different company, Aaron from Ace rescue in Heber City. (He was great, highly recommend) He figured out that John didn't even connect all of the cords and left them in the box, and that there was no way everything worked like John had claimed. We actually found out that John actually doesn't have a great reputation like his reviews claim. And that Aaron has actually had to fix computers John has worked on before. Moral of the story, I definitely do not recommend going to John and finding someone else to work on your repair needs. Unless you're fine with him holding your computer for 4 MONTHS, not responding to any texts or phone calls, flaking on days he says he's coming up, and making you think your computer was stolen. read more

I called and told John my laptop popped when I removed the power cord and then wouldn't turn on. He came out the next morning and opened my laptop and said my hard drive was in tact. Yea! He sold me a used computer for less than 1/2 the price of a new one, and he brought it to me the NEXT DAY. He explained things to me, and I'm old school, so he took time to make sure I understood everything. That's 5 stars right there! He set me up with a browser that doesn't have ads, and my docs are backed up as I save them. He impressed me with his willingness to go the extra mile regarding my satisfaction. Also, his pricing was very reasonable. I'm so glad I didn't call anyone else. It probably would have taken a week just to find out if my documents were still there, plus I would've been aggravated for days on end. read more

John is the best and saved the day for me! My hard drive crashed while I was on vacation in Park City and I needed to work that day. It was during xmas and new year's so nobody available. I finally spoke with Nexus and they recommended John. He dropped everything and came right over to my resort, took my computer (I trusted him completely so handed over my computer with no receipt etc) and had it back to me in a few hours. He walked me through everything he had done and communicated with me daily making sure I was good and didn't need anything. He's extremely knowledgeable. His prices are great. John is a lovely person and so nice to be around. I thought of maybe inviting him over to have a drink. Don't hesitate to use John whenever you have a computer issue. I was in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival, and on Day 1, I wasn't able to get an Internet connection--my laptop was not recognizing the available networks. I had to call my wife in LA to do a search, and she recommended John because he opened at 7:30 a.m. I called him at 7:45, I explained my issue, and he said he'd be right there after he took his son to school. He arrived 1/2 hour later, by bike! He did exploration and fixed the problem. When I got back to LA five days later, though, I started having the same issue at home. I called him just to get a sense of how he solved the problem, so I could take it to my computer technician in LA, and he was willing to suggest other things. John Concannon is a true professional. I was upgrading from an old PC to a new desk top and there was much to be done to preserve the integrity of many years of personal data. John completed this work with accuracy and efficiency. He advised me on proper data management and storage and gave me tips on installing new tools that will greatly enhance my computing experience. In other words, he did exactly what I wanted him to do. He remained available after he departed to answer questions late into the evening.
