The outdoor seating is great for enjoying some good food after a nice leisurely stroll through nature on a beautiful day. A big bonus of this spot is how dog friendly they are. They even have "Canine Cuisine" listed on the menu. Its the perfect spot for dog parents to enjoy relaxed service. The Morning Cristo is a must order. Its basically a Monte Cristo that is breaded to be like a French Toast fusion. It has a nice balance of sweet and savory. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Sunrise Sandwich with the half order of Biscuit and Gravy. The sandwich was nice and refreshing while still containing the savory aspect of breakfast that I enjoy. The biscuit and gravy had my perfect gravy to biscuit ratio. I came here with a group of six of my friend and we had to wait 45 minutes on a Sunday to be seated. Our waitress was super nice and took our order but after that we didn't see her for 10-15 minutes when she brought us our ice waters. We got our food shortly after that. But the server forgot our friend's cinnamon roll and so we had to remind her. I shared the crab cake Benedict with my hubs and it was really good. But expensive for what it was. I tried my friend cinnamon roll and that was amazing! I'd just come back for that. After our server dropped off our check, it took her awhile to come back so we just took the check to the front and they were able to ring us up and divided the check for us. Overall this outdoor restaurant is a super cute spot if you want to take your puppies with you to brunch. Make sure to bring a light jacket, sometimes it can get cold out there. read more

Perfect outdoor ambience at the west end of Central Park! Take the dog if you like , your server will lead you to a table on the grass with plenty of space around it. The menu seems to have improved with more updated items and from there you can stroll leisurely to the beautiful park. I love this dog friendly breakie spot!! This restaurant is located at the park and not only has a dog friendly areas to dine at, there's also a dog menu!! I love taking my dog here on weekends to enjoy breakfast together. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the food is delish! This place has one of the best breakfast burritos I've had as well. Be wary as the wait can be long on weekend mornings and parking can be hard to find. I appreciate the little leash attached to the metal rods that help keep our dog from running along with their dog water station. We need more dog friendly restaurants like this spot! read more

I came here with my brother and nephew for the first time since we wanted to take my nephew to the park. Good service, polite, pretty attentive. Coffee was ok, pancakes really good (I got banana) and I like the crust on the outside with fluffy Interior. Probably one of the best pancakes I've had. Got sausages and 2 over easy eggs with my pancakes. Both were pretty good, very standard. Pancakes were a huge portion, I couldn't finish my food, packed to take home. My brother got the morning Cristo.... Which is a deep fried sandwich. I wouldn't recommend this unless you like and your stomach can handle deep fried food because it's very oily. Coffee wasn't terrible but not great ...but I'm a coffee snob. The grass where they set up the dining area is full of what I am assuming is geese poop ... so beware and don't step in it. Tables were dusty, i don't know... it didn't seem like the cleanest environment to eat at. Maybe I would come back but only for their pancakes. read more

For anyone who has been here you know parking is limited so i ended up parking on the other side of the park but I really enjoyed going for a nice walk through the park and when I got to the host they were very busy but they let me known they do have a to-go window so I ordered a delicious strawberry smoothie that tasted so fresh and real and I went on with my walk. Great spot I would highly recommend coming and if you can't find parking like me park on the other side and enjoy this beautiful park before getting to the cafe. My puppies love going to Park Bench Cafe. The cafe is located in a park on goldenwest street in Huntington Beach. There are plenty of tables, open spaces and good menu. I usually order the hotdog bites, l ground beef or chicken for my dogs. Decent prices $5-6 a portion. They also have water bowls for the dogs and leashes under each table. Fast & friendly service. It can get crowded during lunch & parkings are limited but you can also park along the street. The park is very clean & you can walk your dogs around while waiting for a table. They have good menu for breakfast and lunch. I love their eggs Benedict, build your own omelette, and Strawberry smoothie. My favorite cafe! Highly recommend for a nice pet friendly spot. read more

All the seating is outside at the park benches and there were plenty of fur babies hanging out for everyone to admire since it was all outdoor seating. Great place for brunch/lunch! Came for a late morning stroll away the park and put our names down and by the time we did a ful round in the park our table was ready. Food is fresh and tasty. You can't beat the ambiance of eating a wonderful meal surrounded by eucalyptus trees, a beautiful pathway, perfect weather, great company and of course a few squirrels . Been coming here for a few years now, I used to work close by off beach blvd so would sometimes treat myself before work. A little of a journey from home now but well worth a stop when I'm OC visiting friends. It's attached to a park hence the name "park bench cafe" and they are dog friendly and though I'm "team cat" for the dog peeps this is a benefit. They used to have a chicken wrap sad they got rid of that, but the cinnamon roll pancakes are a guilty pleasure I enjoy truly. The cinnamon roll they have is also huge and was split often between me and another party. The biscuits and gravy are stellar as are their burgers and chai lol. I can rant and rave about several items here and my abundance of photos shows how often I come and I've legit tried a good chunk of the menu between myself and friends I've visited with. Park bench staff is friendly, the coffee is delicious as is the food, and it's a cute setup for breakfast by yourself or for a meal date. Lots of shade since each table has an umbrella. Cold brew with sweet cream was not bad Farmer's breakfast $20- a bit pricey but it was good for something so simple as eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, and bacon Cinnamon roll pancakes- delicious! My daughter and I bring our doggie every other week for a walk and for lunch. I would say this is one of our favorite places, ever. I love the concept of lunch on the lawn. It's so peaceful and beautiful to be surrounded by nature. And I'm a dog lover so seeing all the different fur babies out with their families is like heaven for me! On top of that, the food is delicious when it doesn't have to be. We would come here for the ambience alone. Their coffee is incredible. I recommend the macchiato, hot. The crab cake itself was very thin and placed on top of an English Muffin. The breakfast potatoes cooked extra crispy were great. They use much less cheese these days so I would ask for extra cheese on the potatoes next time. The Morning Cristo (aka Monte Cristo) uses bread that's just too thick. Visiting SoCal from SF and was brought here by a friend who wanted to show me a pet friendly cafe! I thought the set up was super cute outside and appreciated the doggy bowls for water placed. Plenty of shade was provided which was also highly appreciated since it's been quite warm out. All the servers were sweet and attentive. The food was brought out pretty quickly and the proportions definitely did not disappoint. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the original breakfast burrito. It is a gem where the restaurant is outside seating and you can bring your four legged babies. I have brought my pup before and I love seeing everyone's dogs because they also have a small menu for them and water stations. My favorite dish is the Lumberjack. It includes eggs, bacon or sausage, pancakes, waffles or French toast, and the best home fries you can think of. I dream of the Lumberjack. Their coffee is also fantastic. Whenever I have family visiting from outside of California, I make sure to bring them to Park Bench. Every single experience has been great, all their workers are kind and attentive and sometimes even the owner walks around to make sure everything is great. I am in constant awe of how this place is ran. I love that it is outside, and when it is cold they put heaters. After I eat, I usually walk around the park which is huge. It is a must try and a forever favorite for me. I am so glad we have something like this with authentic, homemade, tasty food. The bathrooms are the park's public restrooms a short walk across the grass, but they are usually clean. The Café can get pretty busy, so I always make sure to join the waitlist when I leave my house especially on the weekends. The cutest little cafe inside HB Central Park! I'm so glad this place is walking distance from where I live. Came on a weekend morning and it was quite busy. When in Huntington, we come for brunch. The food is typically spot on and the service is typically great...not sure what happened at this visit but we certainly noticed a big shift. I will say that when we asked to be changed to one of the further away tables because we had our two dogs, they did accommodate our request. Thank you for that! The staff was efficient but so lacked any personality. We all commented that it felt like no one wanted to be at work that day. Food-wise, it was good. Had the brisket sandwich and fries, which was good. The meat was tender and the sauce was sweet and tasty. Club sandwich was good and the sweet potato fries were really good, cooked perfectly. One ordered the French toast, plain and he said he was happy with it. Really nothing but dipped bread cooked but he was happy. Also had the sourdough bacon cheeseburger, which was cooked well but I had to take the bacon off because even though I asked for the bacon to be super crispy, it was limp and flimsy.
