This is insane. Good luck being around strangers on your wedding day if you book or stay here. You get to have strangers in chateaus observing your wedding. Isn't that what we always dream about!

The space provided for food preparation was completely unacceptable from a health and safety standpoint. It appeared to be a storage room being used as a prep area, with visible mold on the ceiling, standing water on the floor, and a sink containing leftover food from a previous event. As a professional in food service, I can confidently say no food should be prepped or even pass through a space in this condition. The environment was unsanitary and posed a legitimate health risk. I personally experienced an asthma reaction while in the room, likely due to the mold present. I raised these concerns with the owner and was told this is a "dual-purpose" space and that other caterers have used it without issue. My concerns about mold and sanitation were dismissed. This review is a PSA: any caterer or client considering this venue should carefully evaluate the conditions, particularly the food prep areas. In its current state, this facility does not meet what I would consider minimum health and safety standards for hosting events involving food service. I strongly believe this space should not be used for events until it has been properly cleaned, repaired, and brought up to basic health code standards.

Every inch of this place is beautiful for photos, they were over the top accommodating, and every vender they recommended that we use was a hit. Life really hit the fan in 2020, and Eagle Dancer Ranch gave us full control and support of what we felt was best. It was way too hot inside the barnhouse, but I can imagine it being quite nice during the fall, winter, and spring. It's located on land far out by 281 N and Bulverde Rd. Once you get on the road and after many twists and turns in a wooded area, you will run into the location. It's owned by a family on their land and they did such a nice setup inside the barnhouse. They also have an area where you can play horseshoes and bean bag toss. We didn't have any time to take an awesome honeymoon, but we still needed to take some time alone to celebrate. This place was far enough away from home to make it feel like a trip, but close enough to Austin that we could quickly return to real life. The home is very beautiful and secluded, located on a very quiet country road with nothing but pasteurs and cows surrounding it. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, we spotted 4 deer having a snack in the front yard! As the name suggests, the property is covered in mature oak trees that add to the natural beauty. We stayed in the Burr Oak room, which is on the second floor and has a private balcony. When we arrived, the lady of the house had 2 giant chocolate dipped strawberries in our room waiting for us. I thought that was a very sweet touch. The room had a very nice queen bed, a tv, and a big bathroom that is shared with the next room. Luckily we were the only guests in the house, so we didn't have to deal with anyone else. Right outside of our bedroom was the game room. Lots of board games and books for quiet entertainment, as well as a mini fridge stocked with drinks and sweets. The balcony was wonderful. It had two very comfy chairs and a patio table. We set up the checker board and spent many hours out there playing. As we were not familiar with the area at all, we had driven into New Braunsfels for lunch. The lady told us that was completely unnecessary because San Antonio was right down the road. A very quick drive to the end of the street, and you were in the city filled with many many options for dinner. We had a key to the house, and the owners do not stay in the house, but in the guest house out back, but if I remember correctly, there was a suggested time to be back and have the doors locked. The lady that runs the B&B was so friendly! My husband is Indian, and she had many stories to tell about her trips to India. We are also both vegetarian, and it turned out her daughter was also vegetarian, so she was well versed in creating meatless gourmet meals! We woke up the next morning to a delicious breakfast of poached pears, avocado and asparagus frittata, and an almond and fruit cake that was apparently something she had eaten while in India. The next morning, she prepared a delicious country breakfast with biscuits and gravy with soy sausage and eggs. After breakfast, we went outside to meet the animals. There were several feisty chickens in the backyard strutting around and grazing and a very nonchalant cat that was apparently not a big fan of strangers. This place was very charming and it was much nicer than staying in an icky hotel somewhere. It was lovely to get away and be in nature and have a wonderfully delicious breakfast made with care and love each morning.

There were archways everywhere you looked with the most scenic Hill Country views you could ask for. The dance floor protruded out one of the archways so that you could dance under the stars. Truly breathtaking. My only complaint was the terrain. The area where we had cocktail hour, as well as the walk to the ceremony, was very jagged and rocky. You would not believe the staircase down to the grass. There were rough steps and wobbly branches as handrails. The reception had flat cement floors, but again, the outside bar area was very hazardous in heels. The bride and bridal party had cowboy boots on, so this was mainly the brides fault for not including this bit of information about the difficult terrain in the invitation. Apparently many guests were aware of this, but as a plus 1, how was I to know? Something should have been mentioned in the invitation, or on the bride and groom's website.

My brother and his wife searched all over for the perfect wedding venue and found it at Rancho Mirando. After spending 4 days in the hacienda on property, I understand why. Leslie and her team will do any and everything to deliver the best experience possible. Their guidance, service, and friendship really made the wedding weekend go from very good to unforgettable. To say they go above and beyond is an understatement! I think Leslie even managed to turn down the June in Texas heat for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception! My kids loved playing on the grounds, in the pool, and in the very kid/family friendly game room within the hacienda. If anyone is looking for a fantastic wedding venue where lifelong memories can be made with family and friends close by, you will not go wrong with Rancho Mirando.

Very nice, clean, well maintained facilities. Air conditioned restrooms at the clubhouse, one on each nine and one at the turn (including the well stocked snack bar). Great hill country feeling with beautiful views, very tame deer and fairways lined with some beautiful homes. Fairways had good grass for just coming out of dormancy. The greens were quite large and long. Good quality grass although a little sparse, creating very fast speed and some difficulty in getting the ball to stop on putts and approaches. Experience and local knowledge gained this trip will be a big help for future rounds. Very large driving range with artificial turf and Top Tracer access. Nice practice putting green. Two VERY large longhorn steers in a small corral adorned the first tee/ninth fairway adjacent to the snack bar at the turn. All the staff and marshals were very friendly and helpful. The cart girls had great personalities, were very helpful and made the rounds regularly. Full bar and lots of cold beverages on board. Very fair prices for refreshments. The only thing missing was ball washers but not a huge deal. Good value for money, especially if you sign up for one of their discount programs. I look forward to returning soon!
