I came here for an April wedding and this venue is truly spectacular. Located on a hill, the incredible views are 360 degrees. The ceremony was on a grassy area with a beautiful alter facade. The reception area was truly the showstopper. The view was beautiful all around. There were archways everywhere you looked with the most scenic Hill Country views you could ask for. The dance floor protruded out one of the archways so that you could dance under the stars. Truly breathtaking. My only complaint was the terrain. The area where we had cocktail hour, as well as the walk to the ceremony, was very jagged and rocky. You would not believe the staircase down to the grass. There were rough steps and wobbly branches as handrails. The reception had flat cement floors, but again, the outside bar area was very hazardous in heels. The bride and bridal party had cowboy boots on, so this was mainly the brides fault for not including this bit of information about the difficult terrain in the invitation. Apparently many guests were aware of this, but as a plus 1, how was I to know? Something should have been mentioned in the invitation, or on the bride and groom's website. read more

Wow...just wow. Everything about Rancho Mirando is world class. The views are spectacular, the facilities are top notch, and the people (Leslie, Donna, and the entire team) are truly the best. My brother and his wife searched all over for the perfect wedding venue and found it at Rancho Mirando. After spending 4 days in the hacienda on property, I understand why. Leslie and her team will do any and everything to deliver the best experience possible. Their guidance, service, and friendship really made the wedding weekend go from very good to unforgettable. To say they go above and beyond is an understatement! I think Leslie even managed to turn down the June in Texas heat for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception! My kids loved playing on the grounds, in the pool, and in the very kid/family friendly game room within the hacienda. We just got back after my daughters wedding here and it was PERFECT! The venue itself is spectacular. The scenery can only been described as magical we chose to stay in the hacienda for 4 nights. Donna, the owner was wonderful as she does all the flowers to perfection. However, Leslie her daughter is the BOSS. This being the first of any of my daughters wedding I was skeptical. Leslie is the absolute best! She makes sure that every little thing is taken care of which is great. She goes wayyyyy over the top to make sure that the wedding is perfect and ours was. I still remember the day we had been driving around for two days looking at wedding venues in the hill country. Rancho Mirando was our last stop - we had made no clear cut decisions and we had been bickering over costs, location etc etc - as soon as we walked in we just shut up and said to each other, this is it. The view from Rancho Mirando into the valley below and the surrounding hills is incredible and nothing will ever match up to it. Leslie and Donna have maintained it brilliantly keeping the natural beauty intact. Our parents on first seeing the place commented - this is perfect you don't need to do anything but just show up. The house by itself is an eclectic mix of tex-mex culture. Brightly colored and welcoming to one and all. There were so many permutations and combinations on where we could do the ceremony, the drinks and the dinner that we knew if we had to go to Plan B because of the weather ( this is Texas) we would not have to comprise on any of the wonderful settings in our Plan A. Leslie and Donna were unlike any other wedding venue owners/hostesses. It didn't feel like this was a business for them, I am sure it was but it never came across to us. For one it was not a one day thing for them- the ranch is yours for the weekend and you get to celebrate with your family and friends like it is meant to be and not for 8 hours and every extra hour we charge you. Given we had families coming from abroad this was the perfect setting. Leslie and Donna were as excited if not more sometimes about our wedding plans. We would stay in touch throughout the period, discuss plans and events - the communication was just right, not too many emails and calls or vice versa. They helped us with the vendors and when we couldn't be there in person worked with the vendors on our behalf. We loved the fact that not once did we have to nickel and dime - they knew our budget and worked so hard to keep us in check. For a couple who didn't have much family around at the time, they became our adopted family. I still remember Donna raiding her wedding "stuff" stash to give my wife something she needed to get that look she was after. It was absolutely brilliant. In the end a wedding venue is more than the location, the views, the food, the drinks etc - it is about the memories you make on one of the most important days in your life. We didn't want a perfect wedding, we wanted a fun memorable day that we would cherish for the rest of our lives and Leslie and Donna gave us that via Rancho Mirando- for which we will always be grateful. read more

I wanted to use the entire venue so I had my rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in different areas of the ranch which are all equally beautiful. this place was beautiful!!! you get a villa style feel when you stay there, waking up in the morning to a gorgeous view in which the living room doors are able to be fully open and see beautiful green landscape and the sun shinning was amazing view. the pool is a very peaceful spot to enjoy and the fire pit is the hangout where we spent most of our time. The lavender fields are a really cool feature and the grounds are well maintained. staff was friendly and helpful.... would highly recommend. read more

My (now) husband and I were looking for a place outside the city with a nice view of the hill country. We wanted our families close to us as they were coming from overseas. We looked at about 10 places and we stopped looking after visiting Rancho Mirando. This place is much more that a wedding venue. The view is jaw dropping, the beautiful Mexican-styled hacienda was able to accommodate our families, and the fact that you rent it for the entire weekend made it much easier for planning and finishing my DIY projects. We had a small intimate wedding, but always received ample attention from the owners Leslie and Donna. We visited Rancho Mirando at least three times before the wedding and emailed constantly with both the owners and always received an answer within 24 hrs. They helped us plan every detail before the wedding and coordinated the entire event the day of the wedding. Although, our package included the basic chairs and tables, they have also rentals for anything else you may require (décor items, linens, serving ware...) at lower costs at the location so you don't have to pay for delivery. My fiance and I were looking for a venue with a beautiful view of the hill country, where we could have our wedding ceremony and reception at the same location. We liked that Rancho Mirando came with both a beautiful view and a magazine perfect hacienda for the family to stay in for two nights. It also has an great pavilion for receptions. Our guests staying at the hacienda really enjoyed hanging out at the swimming pool looking at the stars the night before the wedding. Leslie helped us organize a Hindu style wedding and answered all of our emails right away. We may have inundated her with emails but she is so nice, accommodating, and professional that she never complained. I'm the kind of person who tries to do everything myself, but having a day of coordinator took the stress away and allowed me to enjoy the wedding. Our daughter and son-in-law were married at Rancho Mirando last year. We lucked into finding this so close to home and at the time it was not yet a wedding venue. Once we met Leslie though we had no doubt it was perfect place for the wedding. Over the following months Leslie thought of everything that we hadn't considered and made it happen. The wedding wall (beautiful) went up only a week before the wedding, the gorgeous covered patio for the reception was just completed, yet we showed up to see candles and lighting that was just perfect. We were able to pick our own caterers, cake baker and bartenders, but she also had lists of recommendations she offered. The ranch itself is beautiful and overlooks Devil' Backbone so the view is breathtaking. Leslie and her Mom stepped in and did EVERYTHING behind the scenes and it seemed as though everything just took care of itself, but of course they were behind the scenes making it look easy! We can't say enough about this venue and Leslie was like family by the time the wedding actually took place. She's really the wedding planner most want, but few can afford and compliments this property beautifully. When we arrived at the ranch for the first time, we instantly knew that Rancho Mirando was where we wanted to get married. I could go on for hours about how great it was to work with Rancho Mirando and their owners Donna (mother) & Leslie (her daughter) for our wedding on 1/18/2014. I can't tell you how great it was to have their hard work and support; I don't know who worked harder on my wedding them or me. They have made a friend for life and I miss them every day since my wedding. The venue itself gives you extra ordinary flexibility and value for all you get; you must at least drive out there and meet them. They were also extremely good getting back to us, often within minutes. You have the house for a 3 day weekend with enough space for 14 people in an elegant brightly colored house with lively Spanish architecture and colors. The property is very impressive with multiple locations for the wedding, cocktails, and reception. I had our wedding at the wall, cocktails at the tent, and the reception at their beautiful reception hall. They make a great team and they helped make the rental & florals for our wedding painless for us. They made our yellow & orange color theme possible for a bright wedding full of life and more beautiful than I could imagine. I was thought I would only get a festive wedding but they were able to turn it into my dream wedding. The guests kept commenting on how gorgeous everything was. While other venues only sell you a time slot they are completely committed to making your wedding a success. Examples: Donna jumped on board making small painted potted trees for each of the 120 guests with a massive amount of manual effort including their table numbers and names with very little time to do it; the night before the rehearsal dinner Leslie insisted I let her track down a garter and dye it orange so I could get a good night's sleep. They made us feel like an extended part of their family and made our wedding the best it could be despite our wedding coordinator (Alisha Anderson, separate review). The day of the wedding, Leslie helped to ensure all of the details were addressed, and anything I needed, she was on top of. Donna and Leslie helped to make last minute flower arrangements, boutonnieres, corsages...all of which looked amazing...while simultaneously making sure everyone and everything else was in place. The day went exactly as I envisioned it and surpassed my dreams! I just got my pictures back, and the venue and views made the most incredible backdrop for the pictures. EVERYONE that attended the wedding had the most intimate, special, amazing time, and most (if not all) said that our wedding was the best they had ever attended.
