Before arriving, we made a reservation for dinner, so that we can have a nice dinner for our first day in Paris. When we entered, we were warmly greeted by a friendly young man at the front desk. He confirmed our reservation and directed us to our seat. Then our waitress came to our table to welcome us and left to get us some water. There were lots of items on the menu, so it took some time for us to decide what we wanted to order. My partner ordered Chicken Curry Poutine and I chose Coconut shrimp, Cranberry and Feta Wrap with french fries. A few minutes later, our orders arrived hot and fresh. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. They generally have ten to twelve beers on tap ranging from lagers, ales, sours and sometimes a stout. They are all delicious in their own right although drinking barrel aged fruited sours is an acquired taste in my book, but trust me try them and you may learn to love them. But why else should you go? There is limited food (it's a brewery not a restaurant), no TV's to watch the game, a steady stream of classic rock playing in the background, kids running around and a few dogs to greet you on the way in. To make matters worse the cell reception is awful, my wife always had a hard time reaching me. Hmm, maybe that's not all bad... What kind of place is this, anyway? It's a modern twist on an old fashioned FAMILY oriented brewery, that's what! There are plenty of board games to play, the local regulars are always happy to share some stories, and the staff are the coolest people around. They have a great Mug Club and if you are lucky you get your own hand-thrown pottery mug with your name on it! Very cool... The poutine for a side is quite large on its own, it is made with what appears to be fresh cut fries, not too crispy, cooked through out but still pillowy, the beef gravy is full of flavour and the cheese curds are gooey and obviously fresh absolutely need a nap after this meal.
