Paris surf was recommended by a local friend of mine as "the" place to grab a bite and hangout in Paris.
She was right. It was fun, funky, and our experience surpassed expectations. To be honest the pizza itself wasn't anything to write home about. But this place is so much more than pizza.
You enter by pulling a axe door handle. Then you find yourself in a small clothing boutique. Colorful shorts and tourist sweatshirts on all sides. This is a little disoriented, but don't worry you found Paris surf.
Keep walking in and down three small steps and boom you're in a modern Pizzeria Cafe. They serve drinks ranging from beer to cocktails to Italian sodas and coffee.
This is a place for families and friends to hang out. On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music performances. The vibe is really relaxed you don't even have to order anything then since it becomes a kind of community space.
When I saw the wood fire grill I knew we were in for a treat. Now the pizza menu is quite long, so after studying we opted for a blue cheese and ham specialty pizza. I think that might have been a mistake because the teeny-tiny chopped toppings really blended together and the pizza was too salty for me to enjoy. I would come back and order another pizza maybe a simple Marguerita next time. For my vegan friend they were super accommodating and made a pizza with no cheese.
This isn't so much of a super gourmet restaurant as it is a chill family friendly fast-casual place.
Before you leave take a picture of the tiled stairs that say Paris loves you. This place is definitely instagrammable. read more
