This cute French bistro reminds me of the bistros I enjoyed in Paris The Ambiance: Cute "very French" styled bistro with limited table availability with 7 tables two high tops and 8 bar stools inside and 3 outside tables. If you want to know how the French dine, this is the place for you. The Food: This where the bistro shines. I chose the Les OCufs Gratings which featured baked eggs with soft center, a touch of cream & melted Swiss cheese. I added the ham and spinach optional. The dish was accompanied with a toasted baguette. It was a fantastic dining experience!! In addition to my entree I also tried their raisin roll which was a wonderfully light and crispy pastry that represents French pastries beautifully. One negative, I ordered a black tea (only offered Earl Grey) and steamed milk (got hot milk). You would think a place that offers cappuccinos and lattes could be able to provide steamed milk but, obviously not here. However, I must admit, although I don't like Earl Grey tea, this version was actually ok. Service: Where the ambiance and food scores 5 stars, the service drags it all down to a 3 star experience. My server deserted me after I placed my order. Asking for more hot water (for my tea), another honey packet or anything else required me getting up and searching for "anyone" to assist. The Bottom Line: As always, my "customer so what"... would I come back: Most likely, because the food and atmosphere were exceptional, I'd more than likely put up with the service. From the moment you walk in the French folk music playing sets the relaxed tone for the experience. Calm and soothing. Our waitress, Valentine was very attentive and kind. The food perfection. The lemon crepes and goat cheese red pepper quiche paired with fruit and an almond croissant was very satisfying. We share our dishes so they accommodated side plates. The kids had Nutella and banana crepe and ham and cheese stuffed scrambled egg on a croissant. Brought us back to Paris and loved it! read more

We came here because years ago and it was a nice experience, the food was good and the prices weren't as much as they are now. $17 for a breakfast sandwich was outrageous, but it was worth a shot. It was nothing to write about, there was no flavor at all. Even grilled everything inside was cold. We waited a very long time for our food, our server never checked on us, she just stood there on her phone. We also got the bacon pea soup, which was ok, but the portion was not worth the price. We go the check and after saw that I was charge for a croissant when my sandwich stated it came on one. The server said to me "the menu states it can change at any time" I was appalled and asked for the manager. She told me she was not there and to call tomorrow. I asked for my money back and she said call tomorrow. I asked if she could do anything. She said no. I then said well how about you give me a croissant since I paid for one. She told me she wasn't suppose to but gave me one. I home the owner sees this, there are cameras in the restaurant blatantly so they can see. Many/most of the pastries contain flour, gluten, so we unfortunately could not enjoy themBUT we did really enjoy Les Oeufs Gratine, also known a baked eggs, with ham & spinach.... so good... yes, like scrambled eggs, with wonderful cheese, and baked-and-served in a crock, but so much better than that. And to not be wasteful, since I can eat gluten I enjoyed the wonderful French bread and butter We also took home some of the gluten free / flourless chocolate cakes... 30 seconds in the microwave and they were molten and wonderfully chocolatey ! I stopped by for coffee and I was glad I did. I liked the atmosphere of the place the minute I walked in. The nice open space looked great. The music and decorations looked very nice. It will take you to another place. They have the coffee menu posted on a big board. I ended up also getting a croissant it was good. They make bread here fresh. The kitchen is kinda open you can see some of the cool process of making the goodies they sell. The pastries displayed all looked good. It was hard to pick one. The quiches displayed looked good. It was hard to pick something here. The staff was friendly. The lady by the counter answered all my questions. She made me great coffee and I was happy. I wish I had seen this place before. At first glance, I really liked this place--a charming, quaint little bakery-turned-coffee-shop that seemed plucked straight out of a storybook. We stood by the "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign, hopeful and patient, but as minutes ticked by, servers floated past us like ghosts--no eye contact, no greeting, not even an acknowledgment that we existed. When we finally decided to seat ourselves at an empty table, the saga continued. We waited another 20 minutes, entertained only by the impressive effort the staff seemed to make in avoiding us and every other customer. It was almost comedic, like we'd stumbled into a surreal restaurant-themed prank show. Watching other diners give up and leave became the unintentional entertainment of the morning. Determined to see this through, I finally approached a server to confirm if, in fact, they were open for business. (Spoiler: They were.) Once we managed to place our order, the coffee and food arrived quickly. The quality? Good. Not extraordinary, not terrible--just good enough to remind me why I fell in love with the space in the first place. All things considered, this could have been a spot I'd frequent, but the service was so conspicuously absent it felt like our very presence was unwelcome. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!Before I ordered I asked the server if the establishment had any ownership or mgt changes in the last several years. The server denied any owner/mgt changes. So I ordered my favorite sandwich, chicken salad on baguette, a chocolate eclair, and an apple tart. The sandwich was mediocre and was served on hot bread. The eclair was average. The apple tart was stale with an off flavor. I called to speak with a manager or owner but no one was available; "Elizabeth" had no idea "who" or "when" I could expect a return call. She then accused me of "mistaking" chicken salad for tuna salad. (I don't eat tuna) I spent $39.02 for an awful lunch. The BEST part is Elizabeth "HUNG UP" on me! (I did not use any profanity.) My husband and I were really flabbergasted by the reception we got at this place. I walked in looking to see if they had a particular pastry, which I didn't see. No one even bothered to ask if I needed assistance. My husband walked in and asked the young woman behind the counter for what we were looking for. She couldn't have cared less about responding or having us buy anything. I asked a couple of questions about what they had and she gave some pretty ridiculous answers. Her vibe was just so bad we kind of said maybe she hasn't seen black humans before. It was not inviting at all and clearly we were not welcome. Social distancing a must they closed half inside dining but have a great outdoor tent. And the ladies are attentive and seating was socially separate. Had the quiche wow a perfection so good love the salad w it too! Had the egg sandwich w ham and croissant! Wow flavors and a huge portion yummmmm! Love the Cafe Ole and the espresso! The french egg on the small steel pan wow like a mini crock pot so good w ham and cheese and the french bread with everything I mean so good ! This is in answer to all the bad reviews. We lived in NPB for 7 years and always enjoyed Paris in Town, so when we were back in town last week we went back to our favorite breakfast spot but not before checking the latest reviews which I have to say after reading them we were hesitant about returning. That said, we had a wonderful friendly server, her name is Ruth. Now for the food, as good as always, portions and quality have not changed, and the coffee is better than good it is excellent. Prices have gone up but what hasn't so don't complain, if you want a fast breakfast go to a fast food restaurant. Paris is Town is an experience that should be enjoyed for its charm and food. read more

Went here with my husb, 1st timers. It's a small rustic, bistro type place, quaint; we walked into a tantalizing smell. The menu is mostly sandwiches, lots of em. I had a goat cheese and red bell pepper quiche, flaky flaky crust, it was delicious! The blend of flavors made me want to take another bite and another...the pepper wasn't overwhelming or anything, just perfect! It came with salad or chips, I chose salad, sadly too many sad spoiled leaves to eat. The quiche alone would be more stars rating wise. My husb chose the white tuna on baguette, seemed like he may not have gotten white tuna, he said it was fishy :(. The ice tea was tropical, yummy and refreshing! Service was ok. I regret not taking a pic of my quiche, it just smelled so good and was piping hot, I totally zoned on the pic until I was halfway done. Would I go back? I have wanted to try this restaurant for several years and finally went for breakfast. Sadly, I was underwhelmed. It was a really nice restaurant. . . about 25 years ago. Today, it is in need of a major renovation. Everything is shop worn and dusty, old not quaint. There are too many tables for the space making it feel pretty cramped. The food did not impress, the coffee which I was looking forward to, was poor by American standards and far from French. The quiche looks more like it came from a pizza restaurant in Brooklyn than Paris. I have no comments on the service. They young man we had was very nice. Had a mixed experience at Paris In Town. After passing the corner cafe many times, I decided to stop in and check it out! The cafe itself is small, beautifully decorated and the smell of fresh pastries mixed with the aroma of coffee is INCREDIBLE. The glass pastry cases display such a gorgeous variety of goods. Needless to say, I was excited to place my order and do some work on my laptop. This is sadly where things go south. The two girls taking counter orders were rude, and seemed annoyed that I approached them to say hello and place my order . They had been leaning on the counter chatting and browsing on their phones. Before I could finish ordering, the one not helping me loudly goes "SO YOU'RE ALL THIS TO GO, YA?". Shocked, I responded that I hoped to stay, and do some laptop work. She let out a disgruntled noise and said I'd have to wait, get a seat, and re-order from the server. The original woman taking my order chummed in, "YEAH, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT!" . I figured they both must be having a bad day, and decided to wait. But, lucky for me, there was an open table and o was able to sit right away. It took some time for my server to great me and ask for my drink order. I was mid-sentence ordering my pastry and he walked away. I thought this was odd, but they were busy. About 10 min later, he deposits my drink and walks away as I was trying to order. After another few minutes goes by, I finally got his attention and ordered. Both the iced caramel latte and my meal (onion soup with an apple tart) were wonderful. The pastry was pretty perfect, in fact. However, service was AWFUL. Never checked on how anything came out, if I needed anything, wanted to order more. As everything took a while, I was able to look around a lot and see that I wasn't alone. It seems like every table around me had a similar experience. Having to stop servers to ask for utensils after food was already dropped, asking for water, asking to order more, asking for plates to be cleared. But, when you looked around, you could see servers leaning on services, talking to each other, or on their phones. The servers just didn't seem to want to be working. People were coming in asking for tables and the servers and two women behind the counter were rude to customers. One server even laughed at couple looking for a table, and said "yeah, no. We don't have any tables, you can sit outside". The couple talked amongst themselves and decided to dine elsewhere. I work in hospitality, I was SHOCKED. Guests should never be treated like I witnessed today. It's one thing for a person to have a bad day, but impossible for the whole serving staff to have a bad day resulting in bad attitudes, and poor service. In my opinion, the front of house staff needs to be retrained on restaurant basics and especially basic manners. The front of house is doing a major disservice to the back of house staff that creates amazing dishes, as well to the owners of the Cafe. The delicious, incredible menu here deserves way better. read more
