Sometimes the adage, You get what you pay for , rings true. our experience in April of 2024 at Luxembourg Garden Elegance did not. The filthy apartment was far from its description . From the dusty shelves, dirty carpets, bug ridden bathrooms, stained bath towels and headboards to the lumpy furniture and crunchy mattresses it was a dark nightmare. Fortunately our own housekeeper bought fresh towels at our expense and did her best to make this place livable for the 3 weeks we were there. A cheaply outfitted kitchen with a washer dryer combo that took hours to complete a load of laundry was a joke, as were the space heaters on rollers. this was truly a lousy experience and a huge disappointment from our previous stay with Paris for Rent who were unconcerned and unhelpful In this situation. I recently stayed at the Rue du Dragon one bedroom apartment in Paris booked through Paris For Rent. From the first contact with Patrick, to the booking and all the email exchanges, up through our stay a week ago, I could not have been more satisfied with my experience. Patrick answered all my questions and gave excellent suggestions for restaurants and places to buy essentials in our neighborhood prior to our trip. We booked the optional driving service that they work with for our transportation from and to CDG airport which was taken care of for us. Samantha, our Paris contact, met us at the apartment when we arrived. We were able to drop our bags off while we went and got some lunch and shopped for supplies since we arrived before the check in time. When we returned, she gave us the rundown on how everything worked and answered any questions we had about the neighborhood. The apartment was exactly what we expected from the pictures. We had the beds separated into 2 twins and after roaming the streets of Paris all day we were incredibly thankful that we had a comfortable bed to fall into at night. The apartment was quiet despite being in the center of the city. We were within walking distance to a few iconic cafes and oh! the shopping!!!Go check out Eggs and Co. right around the corner for an excellent breakfast and brunch. I would highly recommend this cute apartment to anyone that wants to stay central and wants to walk to many of the major sights. This was my first Paris apartment experience and I will never go back to a hotel stay again. Both Samantha and Patrick sent emails during the week asking how we were doing. I can't say enough good things about this agency. I worked with Pat, who is French and based out of Hawaii. She worked really hard to find me the right apartment - I was probably a bit high-maintenance, and she was always there for me. I was met at the apartment by a man from the agency, who spent 45 minutes showing me how everything worked. He even realized that there were no champagne glasses and went out and bought them! Do not use this company. First of all, their photos are basically "trick photography." I stayed in a flat, and my friends stayed in a flat while they were in Paris, and the actual apartments look nothing like they show on the website. If I were to give them 5 stars for something, it would be for hiring amazing photographers and photo editors. Second of all, when something goes wrong, they are not interested in righting the wrong. I paid close to $300US/night for a 1 bedroom apartment that supposedly slept 5. It had a daybed in the living room that did have a trundle, but 2 (on the queen bed in the bedroom) + 2 is 4, not 5. So, first of all, it was a blatant lie. But worse, was that the daybed was completely and utterly not safe. The mattress just fell right through, b/c the owner lost the support bars on the bed to keep the mattress in place. As a result, I had to choose between my child's safety (not falling) and the kids getting a reasonable night's sleep. I chose safety, and basically, someone in our party (we ended up playing musical beds) was groggy the entire time, b/c a mattress on a hard-wood floor is terribly uncomfortable. Meanwhile, even if we didn't have this issue, there was the other issue that the apartment was just not quite as nice as promised. It was promised to be "luxury". The towels and bedding were old and thin. The mattress in the bedroom was old and uncomfortable. The actual apartment was well-lit and sort of pleasing sytlistically, but horrible bedding and towels makes for not an awesome experience, and certainly not a luxury. I really just think this company enjoys lying to its customers and profiting off of them. Don't use them. One more thing, they make it impossible at the website to actually leave reviews for the apartments. You have to email them and ask them to leave a review. And then, you fill out a google form. So I said, "Wait, will my review get posted?" And the response was, "sure, if you want it to?" What does this even mean? Who bothers to write a review that they don't want posted? I'm sort of wondering if they only post the reviews that they like, so please do not trust the positive reviews at the website. Meanwhile, this business has never asked to be put onto Yelp. I had to put them up. I find this questionable. Good businesses welcome feedback from their customers. They don't seem to want any. Alas. read more

I have used Paris for Rent on two occasions when looking for an apartment in Paris. I wouldn't even consider using anyone else. From the moment of first contact with Patrick in Sausalito you are assured that every question is answered promptly and honestly. I have recommended them to everyone I know thinking about a trip to Paris. These are not inexpensive trips and you really don't want unfortunate surprises that might mar your trip. The two apartments we rented were very luxurious as advertised. We also used the car service to and from the apartment. If you need restaurant reservations made or help with anything you can be assured that Paris for Rent is available when you need them. read more
