Our very first experience with Worldmark and it made me glad i'm an owner! The price for the room as owner is much cheaper than any decent hotels around. I've seen pictures and description ahead of time so kinda had some sort of expectations before coming here already. Being a historical building, there's only so much upgrades they can do without changing any structure of the room or the building. So the room here is much smaller (not surprising being in downtown SF) than most of Worldmark locations, but it still comes with options for separate bedroom and bathroom. The main thing the 1 bedroom suites missing is a kitchen. Both hotel rooms and suites are equipped with mini fridge and microwave, but having a full kitchen would still be nicer. Another plus is location, location, location! Literally around the block from China town, so this was a huge plus for me! Also walking distance to Union Square and most other popular places around. Since it's being in downtown, prepare to pay a good chunk of money for parking. My first night i got lucky with free street parking right in the front, but the next night not so much. Also got a parking ticket during the day for parking in the same spot that was free the night before. So make sure you read all the parking signs very carefully. There are tons of restrictions for different hours and days. All in all, we will definitely be back if we are in SF and can secure a last minute reservation! read more

We are Workdmark members and were headed to San Francisco for a concert. Decided to use Bonus Time as it was about 2 miles from The Chase Center. Cute small studio. Didn't have a kitchenette like most but still had all the amenities we needed. Especially since we were there only one night. It's a cute old brick building and honestly the only drawback was it has that old building smell. Not an off putting moldy smell though. I highly recommend it if in town. As far as parking, if you need it there is a parking garage across the street for a daily fee. read more

I have stayed at other WorldMark hotels and resorts in the past even a wonderful one in the LA area. This was happens to be a small boutique location in San Francisco. One of the owners who is a friend of mine reserve the room that I stayed in. It was a small studio suite with basically a double bed. Most of the regular amenities that you see and suites were there microwave mini fridge Some dishes in like a little bar area under the TV but there is no really bar. There's no sink and it's kinda oddly designed. They give you dish soap but no sink to wash dishes. The only sink in the suite is in the bathroom. I mean, I was only there for two nights. It served this purpose, but it wasn't any luxury or special about the space. The hotel in general gives off a little nostalgia, but as I really understand, it's just an older hotel that was renovated and branded WorldMark and is in the downtown area. There are several other hotels around that may offer a better amenities and room service as well as have a coffee bar or other refreshments are available around the clock. This one did not. The staff was helpful and very friendly. I give them that. But the stay was fan fare less. I did get offered wine when I was sitting in the lobby area ,the very small lobby area , chatting with a friend which was a nice touch. I do hear that they are pushy when it comes to selling their product which they try to up sale to owners every time an owner is on site. There is lots to eat around, but if you're not familiar with San Francisco, we probably pass up most things that are walkable around the area if you're driving. read more

This hotel only has up to a one bedroom. I was expecting it to be a lot smaller than it was, so I was pleasantly surprised. The staff, like most Worldmark's, was friendly and helpful; the hotel was clean. The strange thing though is the flooring. If you weren't on ground level, the floors sloped, so my equilibrium felt off, and when I'd walk in the room I felt Like I'd fall. I gather it's because of the age of the building... There is a city garage across the street. They don't validate. However, the city garage has a deal if you park from 6 pm to 9 am, there is a flat rate of $20. They also have a contract with another company. It is over $60 a day. Noise(our number one complaint). We should have known when we saw the complimentary earplugs in the room. During our first night stay- in the middle of the night we heard bullhorns, cars honking, cars screeching, people talking, and the sounds of the buses passing by. If you're looking for somewhere quiet- this is not the place. When you flush the toilet- you will hear a "gulping" sound come from the shower drain. I was told to avoid 4-5 blocks out (Civic Center to Tenderloin area). Maybe we will give this resort another try in the future. We needed a little getaway that only made us feel more exhausted. read more

Small but comfortable Studio We stayed here for the weekend and sufficed our lodging needs nicely. Hubby planned the parking details since there is no associated garage or parking space with this resort. Parking in San Francisco is outrageously expensive so we used the garage at California Parking on Sansome Street. I had no idea that it was some 0.8 miles (19-min walk) from WorldMark with some uphill walk. Yikes! But I was able to close some Rings on my watch LoL We had a studio unit on the 4th floor. The hallways and our room was clean as what we come to expect from WorldMark as owners. We were not used to the small size of the room, though, but it's okay, it had all the amenities we needed including a small microwave and a fridge. The staff were friendly from check-in to check-out. They did mention attending an owner update but the concierge did not push us to attend, which we were thankful for. This location is a very close walk to the Dragon's Gate in Chinatown on Grant Street, Nob Hill, and Union Square. It is also located just one block from the Powell Street Cable Car. The lobby had a welcoming setup. There was a flat screen TV along with coffee, tea, and cold water available to help you pass the time in case your room was not ready when you arrive. The one available elevator was super slow. I ended up taking the stairs most of the time even though I was on the 7th floor. They had signs on each floor that tell you how many steps to reach the ground floor. Although everything about my room was nice and clean, as a WorldMark owner, this was not one of my favorite locations. The rooms were tiny and do not come with kitchens. That's one of their major selling points about their properties. Also the shower had low water pressure. Overall the property looked to have been refreshed recently, so it looked pretty modern on the inside even though the building had a pretty long history. I have stayed at other hotels of relatively the same cost in the Union Square area and I have found that this place was much better than any of those locations. In case you're out late, please note that as with all hotels in the area, they will lock the entrances for the night as there is a huge homeless problem in San Francisco. Location! Location! Location!! This is why we come here to do our Christmas shopping tradition every year. Love the access to this hotel, it's easy to get to, easy to park (we always have the hotel park for us but you can easily do yourself across the street is a huge parking garage) easy access to everything you'd want to see or do while in SF. Check in is at 4:00pm and check out is 11:00am. Kind of quick if you are only staying a night which we do for shopping purposes. We live so close to SF so sightseeing is not the purpose here. When we arrive around 10:30am we check our bags with the hotel and take off to Union Square. Starbucks on every corner is a must as well. The Westfield Shopping Mall is also a stop for us as we love Nordstrom and all the surrounding typical mall stores. You can easily do all your shopping here. The downside is you don't have your car so you carry what you buy. We dropped off our packages at the hotel then went out for round 2. Dinner reservations were at John's Grill. Pricey but good place to eat in the area. 8th floor facing busy street - no bueno! Very loud drunk bar crowds and kept me up all night until all the drunks finally left the bars and went home. I've stayed here before and I didn't hear a thing, but realized that was because I stayed in a room that was more inside facing away from the busy SF streets. Turned on the AC unit even though it was freezing, I tried to drowned out the noise from the street below but the unit kept turning on and off. That was just as hard to sleep. Oh well, it was only one night. Saw less homeless people this time around. Not sure why? Also, no poop in the streets like I witnessed last year same time. Maybe SF is cleaning itself up finally? No free WiFi. Waaah!! Kind of a bummer, but again, only here one night so quick stay. Plus, plenty of free WiFi at Starbucks. read more

Pros: the hotel is in a perfect location and is close to everything. The front desk staff and the concierge staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. It's nice having water and coffee always available in the lobby. Although it was super tiny, the room was aesthetically pleasing with a little facelift completed sometime recently. Overall, the hotel is cute. Cons: the bed was hard as a rock and there was an odor to it. I finally realized the odor was from the pillows and the mattress pad on the very old and stained mattress. It just smelled like lots of people had slept on it. A people smell. I removed every single piece of the bedding, pad, and pillow cases for housekeeping to wash. Hopefully that helps the next person avoid sleeping with that smell. I feel like pillows and mattresses should be replaced if they are stained and I feel like the mattress pad should be something that is washed along with the sheets. I probably should have switched rooms, but that's not overly convenient at midnight when you are trying to sleep. Again, the staff was incredibly nice and I appreciate the location but as a Wyndham owner, I won't stay here again. Converting a bunch of points and paying $100 extra wasn't worth it for this hotel. read more

The Worldmark San Francisco is located at the north east corner of Stockton and Bush. My family has been Worldmark owners for about 7 years now and while we've been to a variety of places mostly either in California or Florida, this is the first time I've stayed at the San Francisco property. As far as the facility goes it seems to be well kept. There's only a single elevator from the lobby and it seems like an old building sure but the rooms for the most part are "hotel" style. These aren't your 3 bedroom condos in Orlando or Las Vegas and because San Fran is a tight city for space, the rooms reflect that. The units themselves are not bad. I've stayed in smaller boutique type rooms in NYC and while San Fran space is at a premium like Manhattan, this room is actually not that bad for space. There's no dresser but the closet is huge with shelves and enough space to hang all your clothes and empty multiple suitcases. The bathroom is decent but there's no exhaust fan but I noticed my window (small square) was open when I arrived and I never bothered to close it. The air is so cool outside it's like having AC on even in late September since September/October is San Francisco's "summer" and warmest time of year generally speaking. While there was a coffee maker and TV I never used either. I used the mini fridge to store all the water I would need for the next 3 days walking all over the city. I believe the bed was a queen. It would have been nicer being a king but I don't think the room I was in would be able to accommodate a king. As far as the property all I ever saw was the lobby and my room. If there was a restaurant or other amenities I didn't know of them but really it didn't really matter. Everything that I wanted to do and see in San Francisco was outside these 4 walls but what makes the Worldmark San Francisco so awesome is the location. This location is pretty much prime because of the proximity to a variety of things which would interest most visitors to the city. To start things off there's a large self park parking garage across the street (Sutter/Stockton Garage) and while it maybe about 40 a day or so believe it or not that's affordable by the standards of San Francisco and this particular location. One block east is Grant and the Chinatown Gate. Two blocks north is California Street and the cable car that will take you east/west. Two blocks south is the shopping area of Union Square Park and a couple blocks south of that is the Westfield San Francisco Centre and the end of the Hyde and Mason street cable car turnaround. Basically from this one central location the cable car access to Fisherman's Wharf is available as well as going towards the Embarcadero going east or towards Van Ness and the Tenderloin to the west. The area has many restaurant options so there's many choices within walking distance of the front doors. I found the AC unit to be sort of noisy as it turns off and on attempting to maintain the set temperature. Eventually I just turned it off and just got fresh air through the tiny bathroom window which as mentioned before is always cool. As far as an urban property for Worldmark, this is as urban as it gets in this prime location in one of the most expensive cities in the country - this location really can't be beat. One issue I had during my stay was on the very last day of my 3 night stay and that was there was a sign in the elevator about the wifi being worked on and possibly being down for 30 minutes at a time or so. Well the last evening to the very next morning the wifi was completely out and that's basically half a day at least up to the point when I left the following morning. That seems to be a long downtime for a property that size with that many guests. Hopefully it will be a much faster and stronger network upon the next return because I'd definitely want to come back. Each summer I visit San Francisco and I keep looking for those crazy kids. About 10 years ago I noticed a bunch of kids gathered across the street. They would take turns rolling down the sidewalk while another would video the rolling one with their phone. Looked like they were getting pretty dirty as lots of stuff gets on the sidewalk and it's never cleaned by humans. I use to roll down grass covered hills at the park when I was a kid. It was cool watching them from the window of my room at the Worldmark. I try to book early and get a room on the top floor as there is less noise the higher up you are. You do have to walk up a flight of stairs as the elevator doesn't go to the top floor. Rooms are cozy. You can plug your laptop or game system into the HDMI port of the hdtv. Mini fridge keeps leftovers and fruit from spoiling. Location is excellent as I like walking to Chinatown. Bus is a block away. Cable car is a block away. Service is excellent here. There was an issue with the toilet filling every 15 minutes which the maintenance guy could not fix so eventually we were switched to a different room with no toilet problem. Each year I visit I look out the window hoping to see those crazy urban kids again. Maybe next time... read more

This is a great alternative to a hotel room. The bedroom is separate from the living room and has two bathrooms. Amenities are sparse but adequate to allow you to cook or snack in the room without having to go out for every meal. Pull out bed on the couch is ridiculously uncomfortable. Probably ok for little kids, but otherwise it sucks. Carpet should really be replaced with new or hard flooring to avoid retaining dirt and musty smells. It's Frisco, so understand you're going to have city sounds all night long. That's not Worldmark's fault. read more

Great location! There is one of the best bars ever--right across the street! Or you can walk down the stairs (sometimes it's a bit sketch but I've never actually felt unsafe anywhere in the city, just watch your step on these stairs ) and be in Union Square in minutes! There is a parking garage across the street as well , it can be considered pricey, we actually parked for $35 overnight at a place a short walk away (spotHero app) . Once you get into the hotel you are so welcomed and helped with anything you may need, there are always at least 3 people at the front desk. They have coffee, tea, water in the lobby, a fireplace and small sitting/waiting area. You can leave your bags there after check out, which is super convenient. I really enjoy staying in this hotel, this friday night was my 2nd time there. The rooms are clean and well appointed, nothing crazy fancy but nice. We just stopped through San Francisco on our road trip last week, and were so excited they had a worldmark with availability that night. The building is an OLD apartment building they've taken over. It is very outdated and old feeling, looking, and smelling. They charge $60 for parking !!! We've never had to pay parking at a worldmark! The gym is super tiny, and we didn't find any pool or hot tub in the building. No game rooms or lounges. The room did not have a kitchen, just a microwave and mini fridge. Although the location is convenient for walking distance to China town and shopping, the rooms and hotel itself were not worthy the stay. Definitely won't be staying there again. read more

Was hesitant to this place because of the noise levels, I'm extremely light sleeper plus have toddler also. I was also worried because im used to fully stocked kitchens and this mentions only microwave and fridge. However, in the 1 bedroom 2 bath i stayed there was a sink along with several cups, plates, bowls, utensils, and even wine opener. Which was great considering i brought bottle of wine and forgot opener!! ‍ I decided to bring my fan from home and the noise was NO ISSUE AT ALL!! I also had a small ice chest with drinks and snacksFront desk was extremely helpful with unloading luggage and basically ran out to greet me in truck, btw parking is very slim.... but parking garage was easily accessible across the street, jus dont forget anything in vehicle because its a hassle to have to walk back and forth to vehicle, especially with 2 year old. Reason for 4 stars is parking. Call me spoiled but I'm used to free parking on site. Regardless, I have already booked another stay for next week and so excited to go back and visit Fisherman's wharf and the beautiful city by the bay!! UPDATE!! Just stayed again and the concierge was over the top too much. I explained how I was there just a week and half ago. I have the same information and the exact same welcome packet as I did a week and half ago. I kindly said 'No Thanks.' to the concierge desk. As I was getting in elevator he is yelling across from the counter, 'whats your last name?' As much as I love my privacy, and I jus wanted to get to my room after a 6 hour car ride with my 2 year old, I still yelled back my last name and said 'No Thanks' again. Hoping that was the end of it. Nope!! Trying to relax and use the business center and fax machine he walks from across the room to me to ask me Again why I'm not attending 'The Breakfast'. At this point I'm Irate, I almost would NEVER STAY AGAIN because of this ..... almost harassment from concierge (pre-salesdesk) TRULY UNCOMFORTABLE!! I think I left my heart in San Francisco lol... stayed here for 3 nights! So yea yea, this was my first time in San Francisco and my family checked into this hotel. It's on the corner of Bush street and Stockton street, which is perfect because it's close to Union Square and Chinatown. They have a parking garage for your vehicle and even valet if you like. As you walk in through the doors of Wyndham hotel, you're welcomed with such a warm greet by their staff. In their lobby area they offer complimentary coffee, tea and water for their guest. Once you get all checked in, you're ready to see the room... well let's just it'll take a bit longer bc their elevator is majorly slow (like turtle slow). Well well finally to the room, it was cute and cozy but a bit old fashion looking. As you walk into the room, you walk into the living room with a pullout couch bed and a little eating area. Then in the other room is where you find the queen size bed, it was pretty comfy I've got to say (but nothing beats my cozy bed) The bathroom was small, but clean. Comfortable for two people but can be good for a family of 4. I recommend this hotel to anyone that's staying in San Francisco I'd come back and stay here if I'm ever back in San Francisco!! read more

The worst place I've ever vacationed at. My man and I have rented a dozen or so hotels before and 1 other timeshare in Tahoe (which was wonderful, btw). First off, they wouldn't let the account owner transfer the reservation title to me over the phone. When we got to WorldMark, I had to pay $130 to gain access to my room, on top of the $120 cleaning fee. Then, the concierge was showing us hotspots on the map. It struck us as very odd that he asked if we were 25, not 21... I said no, we are twenty, and he got a little miffed. Come to find out you have to be 25 to be a timeshare holder so they could lure you into a presentation to convince guests to purchase their own. The luggage carts are heavy, bulky, and all-around difficult to maneuver. Once settled in our room, the concierge called. I answered and she asked if I'm the wife of the timeshare holder. I dishonestly said yes bc I didn't feel like explaining the transfer, but she got confused the more questions she asked, so I finally clarified what happened downstairs. She *also* asked if I was 25. I replied no. She, very icily, says, "thank you for your honesty" AND HANGS UP ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF ME SPEAKING. I sat there in shock for a minute or two at how rudely I was just treated... never have I ever been called by a concierge, let alone HUNG UP ON!!! The next morning, my beloved and I awake to the phone ringing YET AGAIN. I ignore it to avoid another frosty conversation with the concierge downstairs. We found a note that'd been slipped under the door overnight that stated the concierge "had a gift for us." I threw it away. They called again within the next couple hours. NEVER have I been so harassed staying anywhere else!!! Screw Worldmark SF and their sh*t staff (the only nice ones were the cleaning ladies, and that alone says A LOT). Never again will I return to this abhorrent excuse of a timeshare. I'd rather pay $200/night at an actual hotel where the concierge never calls the room once, let alone thrice! read more

WorldMark San Francisco is a good WorldMark. I checked out tonight from a 4 night stay, about 8 years ago we stayed here for a week. It's centrally locates in a place that's walkable (within 1.5 miles) of the major things you want to see. The building is between Chinatown & union Square. Parking is a mess anywhere I. The city, this isn't WorldMark's fault...it's just how it is. The units are spacious for "hotel room" accommodations, but do not compare size-wise to the typical WorldMark standard you may be used to. The units do come with a mini-fridge, basic set of dishes, a microwave, coffee pot, and kitchen sink. The location is what's the best asset of this place. The amenities are much fewer than WorldMark owners are used to. There no washer & dryer in the room, you'll have to walk your dirt clothes through the lobby to the complimentary washroom on the first floor. There is a fitness center, but that's it--no pool, no game room, no recreation room. The rooms are surprisingly quiet at night. I have stayed in some parts of the city where it's hard to get any rest at night and this location fares quite well in terms of night noise. They do provide sets of earplugs in the night stand, but we never needed them. We had a queen bed in the bedroom which was very comfortable and the living area had a pull out sofa where our two boys slept but I wouldn't have survived a night on that thing. read more

Plenty of restaurants and delivery options as well. Cons- Parking is expensive. There is a parking garage across the street, which is slightly less expensive. The gym is very small, but accurately portrayed. It's definitely not my favorite WorldMark location and is without many of the typical WorldMark amenities we are used to, but it was perfect for our stay and we will definitely be back again. read more

Great place to stay! This timeshare is located 1 block from the Chinatown gates and within a couple blocks from Union Square. AWESOME LOCATION!!! We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, which is accompanied by 2 full bathrooms, 2 queen beds (1 sofa bed), essential kitchen items (fridge, sink, microwave, silverware...). Yes the elevator is slow, so it's best to take the stairs. Upon checkin, you are then being persuaded to listen to their talk. SKIP IT, unless you have time to waste. The guy behind the counter was kinda aggressive in wanting to know my plans and trying to get me to one of their meetings. NO THANK YOU!!! Nonetheless, the staff is really nice and helpful. Safe neighborhood, spacious room and very comfortable. Given how SF usually has tiny hotel rooms, this hotel actually was roomy and had great space. Will def come back! I have been an owner for two years. The sales people at this location were actually the best we have had. They helped us discover that our salesman at the Big Bear location had lied repeatedly. The room was ultra small because it is an extremely old building. Unfortunately, we returned with bed bugs. For that reason, I only give it two stars. read more
