Such a difficult choice when they all look so delicious
    Kerry F.

After a busy morning of shopping, I needed to pick me up so I popped into Paris Café for a treat. Their impressive selection of desserts in their case made choosing so hard, but I ultimately went with one of my favorites a crueler like pastry soaked in a delicious honey sauce And to go with it a Turkish coffee prepared expertly. Paris Café is such a chill environment. They also serve paninis and soups, and have a full service coffee bar. Their desserts are the star of the show. Theres so many to choose from, and they're available by the slice or if you need a little bit more, you can take the whole cake home.

If you drive too fast you'll miss this hidden gem tucked between frames unlimited and a Mexican place. Try the pitas. Not what you think and incredible mix of savory and hint of sweet. The crepes are fantastic for your sweet tooth. It isn't surprising given the various assortment of delicacies they offer. I hesitate to even share this one as it's clearly under recognized. And one tip, make sure you don't assume it's closed as the lighting from the outside is misleading.

My favorite coffee shop hands down. The best pastries in Grand Rapids can be found here. The staff is always nice and friendly. Try the rafaelo cake, you are not gonna regret it.

Just a small amount of the amazing desserts they have!

Ok! So I initially posted that this place was closed, but it reopened and I'm so happy! It has (in my opinion) the best cakes in town and I've slacked on reviewing this place. I hope folks come and taste their amazing desserts. But let's get on to the review. First off, the owners are so nice and caring. They seem really proud of all the desserts and other foods they've made. And rightfully so. Here are my thoughts on the desserts. They have a lot of European desserts like Napoleon, Black Forest, and so much more! My personal favorite is Black Forest because of its moist but not too dense cake and it's tart yet sweet cherry filling. It's insane how good that cake is. It's truly out of this world. I tried a bit of the Napoleon when we brought some cake home and it was spectacular. The filling wasn't too sweet while the cake itself was nice and flaky. They truly have the most perfect desserts here. (I haven't tried their coffee or other foods but I would come back here just for their cakes alone) I really hope this review get through to the GR yelp community that this place needs our help to stay in business. If you ever come to try this wonderful place, I guarantee you, you won't regret it!

I visited this place four years ago and also went back just the past weekend. I ordered the Strawberry Napoleon and my friend got the Strawberry Cheesecake. I was surprised at the very first bite of Stawberry Napoleon for its spongy cake, the sweet but not too creamy filling, and the sweet and sourness of the strawberry that just kicks in at the end. I loved it so much. I'd recommend coming here for a quick bite of dessert. There are a few tables and a few sofas inside, but I wouldn't say the lighting is great for studying or reading. Great parking out in front.

A hidden gem in Grand Rapids and possibly my favorite place for desserts! There are so many delicious sweets to choose from and each one I've tried has not disappointed me. My favorite has to be the Strawberry Napoleon - I dream about her. Instead of buying a whole cake, I like to select a number of these sweets for my friends' birthdays. I will be back!

Amazing Parisian breakfast today! Super fluffy Strawberry banana with Nutella Crepe was out of this world! Even better than in Paris!! The Paninis were so yummy and fresh too! Adorable eatery with friendly owners and super clean restrooms.

    Huge selection!

Then they started disappearing and became harder and harder to find. So when I saw this location was close to the GRR airport, it was worth a detour to stop in and see if was still good. I found my coffee niche since the old days and it's a hot mocha with oat milk. So that's what I ordered and then came the questions. Milk chocolate or Dark Chocolate? Or Mixed? Whaaaaaaaaa? Then she said they steam the chocolate chips with the milk to make the mocha... whaaaaaaaaaa? No syrup or mix or powder... Sign me up for more! The nice woman served the coffee and there were two chocolate covered espresso beans in the little divot. Excellent idea! More chocolate and more coffee! The mocha itself was amazing. Their coffee was still smooth and silky on the palate. I enjoyed it during my long car ride after the flight! If you're not familiar with Caribou Coffee, I'd say give it a try because it's everything I remember about a good coffee chain. Don't judge them on their K-Cups if you've had those. Get something in the store and hope they open more and more of these! Give a big horn-y animal a try!

Starbucks and Biggbys has nothing on Caribou coffee. Not to mention they have an extra large size and they're more affordable than most of your run-of-the-mill coffee places I do however wish that they had a lot more options when it comes to their drinks whether it be frozen hot or iced there's not a lot to choose from and I like a lot of variety so seeing more variety in their menu in the future would really be nice especially with food as well.

Nate and I stopped by on a Saturday morning to try some of their seasonal drinks and get a light breakfast. The menu includes some hot food items (breakfast sandwich and quiche) and a small selection of pastries. We got a bunch of things to share: banana bread latte, a breakfast sandwich, slice of broccoli ham quiche, and a cherry almond scone. Everything came out on a counter near the ordering area and they called out our name. The drinks were tasty but I preferred the robin's egg cold brew the best. The banana bread latte didn't have a lot of banana flavor; it mostly tasted like the spices you'd associate with banana bread. I really liked the food we tried. The quiche was one of the best I've ever had. I'm actually still thinking about it days later. The texture of the egg was silky and custardy, not at all spongy or dry. I thought it was divine but if you don't like that texture, it is not for you (flan-like). The breakfast sandwich was a bit bland -- I asked for hot sauce but they couldn't find any. I appreciated the texture of the biscuit, and the egg was also tender (not as custardy as the quiche). I don't usually like scones as they tend to be dry, but theirs was flaky, buttery, and delicious, with a very almond-forward flavor. I would definitely order more quiche and scones. There were quite a few people coming in for pickup orders on a sunny Saturday morning. If I lived closer, I think I'd come here often. I'd be curious to try some of their take home items or lunch.

Carrot cake was freshly made and the frosting was amazing!! They had some different options in their take home fridge - some chicken lasagna and curry chicken salad to name a couple. I would definitely love to try that chicken salad one day. This place was the perfect coffee shop/bistro. I wish I lived closer by so that I could try more!

I've been going since late 2022/early 2023, back when they were just a vintage shop (with a cute cat) at their old spot further down Division. I first came across them at a market and bought a shirt (still probably my favorite shirt in my collection) but at the time they were pretty under the radar, so I forgot the name. Almost a year later, an old friend complimented that same shirt, which led to me telling the whole story. I was like, "all I remember is they sold spoon rings," and said friend immediately goes, "sounds like Otono on Division." Ofc I went there that weekend, and sure enough, that was them. Been a fan ever since. At this point, a good chunk of my wardrobe is from them. It's been really cool seeing how much they've grown and evolved, especially with the addition of the café. I think it's such a hit and fits their vibe perfectly. The owners are also super personable and the staff are always kind. I added a few pics from past visits, but I definitely recommend checking them out.
