First of all, I was very excited that the restaurant was going to do something like this in the…read moresmall little town that we live in! This was a perfect place to have high tea. The crepes were delicious as they usually are here, but the sweets were ok with the exception of the scone being fantastic. There were a lot of great tea options but they did run out of the mango green tea one. I understand it was the first time they were doing something like this, but it's very misleading to charge customers extra because you serve a double serving on a tray and saying you can't do a single one. If you are advertising $55 a person, it should be that regardless of your partying being an odd number. It is very unfair to force people to pay an additional amount when there is space to do a single serving. This also makes the single person very uncomfortable, like a person who isn't a mother, but maybe an aunt or friend. What if you lost your mother and you wanted to have tea by yourself, you have to pay $110?! I think our waitress also misspoke when she explained the thing that we would be charged per person and then later telling us that we had to pay for the two servings because they couldn't split them. To me even if you couldn't split the tray, it seems like the thing to do on Mother's Day is to give the other setting free. It's soured my experience.
