Very disappointed this time if you come here get a pastry no a breakfast pizza thx.

The crepes were delicious as they usually are here, but the sweets were ok with the exception of the scone being fantastic. There were a lot of great tea options but they did run out of the mango green tea one. I understand it was the first time they were doing something like this, but it's very misleading to charge customers extra because you serve a double serving on a tray and saying you can't do a single one. If you are advertising $55 a person, it should be that regardless of your partying being an odd number. It is very unfair to force people to pay an additional amount when there is space to do a single serving. This also makes the single person very uncomfortable, like a person who isn't a mother, but maybe an aunt or friend. What if you lost your mother and you wanted to have tea by yourself, you have to pay $110?! I think our waitress also misspoke when she explained the thing that we would be charged per person and then later telling us that we had to pay for the two servings because they couldn't split them. To me even if you couldn't split the tray, it seems like the thing to do on Mother's Day is to give the other setting free. It's soured my experience.

Baby's Gourmandise is located inside Grand Rapids Downtown Market, and it has some of the prettiest desserts in the whole joint. There were lots of pastries, but it looks like maybe cream puffs are the stars here. There were a few different flavors of cream puffs, including chocolate and even matcha. I'm not the biggest fan of choux pastries, though, so I didn't pick a cream puff. Instead, I got a pistachio creme brûlée! I love that first tap to break the hard, sugary crust. Underneath is smooth and creamy pistachio custard, just the slightest shade of light green. It was decadent but not too much! I went here for my birthday lunch and had the hands down best sandwich in town, the ham and pesto with burrata sandwich. We also got the miso white chocolate, biscoff, and brown butter chocolate chip cookie and they were all fabulous. My favorite of the three was the biscoff cookie. The key lime pie donut was stellar! The baked goods were great and the demand was high! We waited in line outside but it went quick and some items were sold out, so I will get there earlier next time to try more items. This is a local business that I am thrilled to have the chance to support and I'm so excited to see their growth! 10/10. Will be bringing my friends and family here!

Its very basic inside but thats to be expected for the type of business it is. Got there early-ish, small line ahead of me. We were wanting to try some of their cupcakes and cake. There was more then a dozen left and we were next in line but the customer ahead of me wiped them out, seems like with a pop up, being early in the day they would have some sort of limit to how much each person could get, and we were told they dont restock. We sadly got 2 cookies to try instead, a chocolate chip and miso pretzel cookie, $8 for the both of them. The cookies were forgettable, if you go, I would skip on those - they didnt taste any different from a recipe you could make at home and there was 0 miso flavor in the cookie. I have a feeling the cakes would have been a lot better, probably why they got sold out. I wanted to try the focaccia bread but I thought the price point was too steep for what was being offered. The staff was 5/5 friendly. Ill probably go back and try them again in the future and hopefully get to try some of their cakes.

Nate and I stopped in to this location of the Pump House recently for a sweet treat. The bowls are huge, which makes you buy more! They also have cardboard dividers so you can separate your bowl and try up to three flavors, which is what I did. The options are extensive - I think they had at least 20 flavors of frozen yogurt. They also have hard scooped ice cream but I'm not sure if you can use the toppings bar on those choices. I tried the vanilla caramel swirl, mint, and mango raspberry sorbet. They have dairy free options which is nice. The toppings bar is bonkers - I've never seen so many options, ranging from sweet to salty to weird (hot cheetos anyone?). I typically go for the gummy candy but I wish I knew which toppings were the lightest! At 69 cents per ounce, we paid over $20 for our two cups. That's bananas to me, honestly, but I knew it would be pricey going in. The vanilla caramel was my least favorite of the frozen yogurt flavors - it was definitely very caramel-y flavored but I thought it was overpowering. The mint was really good and the sorbet was sour and refreshing. Definitely not a place I'll go regularly, but it's a fun place to check out occasionally.
