Lots of great drink options. My fav thing is the pandam waffle. Went during lunch which is good because no wait time.

Came here on a Thursday at 2pm. There was no line and the order was taken and made very quickly. I was in and out within 5 minutes. The Thai milk tea was perfectly balanced in terms of flavor. A little bit too much ice but that's normal for most drink places. I've tried a bunch of their Che deserts as well and have only had good experiences. Highly recommended!

I love milk tea and boba. I find in our area more places sell fruit flavored boba or things like vanilla. When I find black milk tea I get excited. I didn't ask if the sweetness could be adjusted, so maybe they would? I would prefer mine with less sugar . At most places when you can't choose usually it's too much. This place did a good job of making it not overly sweet for a standard drink. It was still a bit more than I like. They charge extra for boba which isn't uncommon almost $5 for a small ( around 16 oz) They have a huge selection I'm excited to try the passion fruit in the future. When I would want a refreshing fruity drink. Macaroons we're ordered. Flavors were fine again a huge selection. We had to wait for them to become fully unthawed. Which they instructed us to do so. I'm guessing they have to keep them fresh and without high turnover it's hard to control that to offer them "ready to go" Still it makes me less likely to get them again. Seating is stools and small tables limted but available. At this time $10 min for using a card so be prepared for that. This place has potential and for me gets points for offering oolong milk tea.

So happy there is a location in Grand Rapids now. Another bubble tea option in GR. My fave black tea with egg pudding and sea salt foam -- no sugar and pandan waffle -- current price is 3.95. Pandan waffle has crispy outside and chewy inside. Order for sure!!!! Lots of drink and dessert options to choose from. Che (Vietnamese dessert) - mix and match to your liking or choose a standard from menu. Coffee drinks - mochas and cafe sua da Teas - green, black, mango, and so much more. Smoothies -- lots of fruit options Boba - lots of flavor options along with add ins :) Awesome new addition to GR!

I was so happy to see a Bambu location open up in West Michigan. I've been here a few times now and have not been disappointed. The prices for the special drinks may look a little pricey at first but there's a lot of stuff in the drinks. It's almost like a small meal. My favorite drink so far is the Bambu Special. It's really refreshing and isn't too sweet. The staff here are friendly and the wait isn't too long either. I'm definitely going to be a regular!

My family's been addicted to Bambu's dessert drinks Che and bubble tea lately, so we've decided to stop-by on our way to visit Lake Michigan. We are glad we have! Drinks were awesomely and beautifully prepared, no missing items, bubbles cooked perfectly, and with super friendly service. We've decided to try pandan waffles too. Everything looked and tasted great! Thank you so much for satisfying my family craving :)

I dropped in here for tea since it has received positive reviews. I've had bubble tea before & wanted to see what they offer. Do you have much more than just tease, and also offer an interesting listing of Asian dishes including sushi. They also have smoothies, juices, yogur, as well as teas & Vietnamese coffees. I ordered the Matcha iced milk tea with black boba pearls. The pearls are tapioca bubbles & come in various flavors, an interestingly tasty addition to their wonderful drinks. The black bobas were chewy rather than the ones that are juice filled. Very refreshing on a hot day. I plan to come back to try other flavor options along with their entrees.

So glad BAMBU is finally in GR! As a Bubble tea fanatic, we were so excited to try simple Thai tea bubble tea! It's definitely worth it. It's a bubble tea heaven for me. Thai tea as I've tried in Thailand, was very authentically sweetened but here, they made it without sweeteners ( condensed milk and evaporated milk). It's great! If you like it sweet, I'd made sure to mention it when you put in the order. Try to go for the large size since it's only $1 more. The service was pretty fast and nice too. They have great decors inside and some outside seatings but I'd rather sit inside and enjoy reading their menu and pics. Lastly, but not the least, enjoy Bubble tea!

The only legit decent boba milk tea place in Grand Rapids area unfortunately. BAMBU is a chain that started in my hometown San Jose, CA. It was wildly popular for years for their quantity and "quality". I think the che is excellent and filling, a really hearty dessert on its own. But the milk teas/smoothies boba left more to be desired, however in GR, it's a ray of sunshine in this bleak, dark part of town. Nota Bene: -1 Star for having expensive prices like Cali! We're in Michigan :( sad face My first experience on a weekday afternoon was a little bumpy. Friendly service was less than stellar and the waffle iron didn't work for pandan waffle. Second time, went a lot smoother in service :) I was with my housemate and we were craving major boba after pho. I wanted to get 2 drinks- oolong sea salt and Thai, to save for later. My housemate got the mango smoothie. They messed up and made an oolong milk tea but let me keep that one and remade a fresh new one for me. Yay! They ran out of boba due to a rush of people that charged in right after us, and I subbed for grass jelly. Pandan waffle was alright, a bit more oily greasy that I thought but the batter was good. Overall, BAMBU redeemed itself. I will def be back, 4 stars for having decent offerings and quality/quantity. More info/menu: https://drinkbambu.com/menu/grandrapids

Best pho I've found in Grand Rapids! Very fast service and lots of parking in the lot!…read more The pho has so much flavor and is always such a generous portion! The pho came out super hot and I love it on a cold day... I think for the GR area it was good. In other metro areas, this was probably just standard. The banh mi was good. I take into account this isn't a Vietnamese deli so I can't expect like the quality you would get from a dedicated banh mi spot. The only thing that would bring this to a 5 star rating was the experience... I felt like I was standing at the front entrance for awhile to be acknowledged. Other customers looked at me awkwardly. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to seat myself or keep waiting. - it may be a shortage of staff... The auntie and uncle also could have been alittle more friendlier. It was kind of like "are you ready to order" type of atmosphere. I was again waiting at the cash register for the check... I think they just seemed really tired and I caught them on an off day. There seemed to be alot of tables needing to be bussed too. Food was good, expectations for service lowered and you'll be fine.

TERRIBLE REVIEWS, GREAT RESTAURANT!!!…read more We do not deserve this place. I have seen such stupid 1 star reviews driving this place down so I made this. People claiming the food was undercooked when the menu item they ordered as takeout comes raw with hot broth. Whoever made that deserves to eat McDonald's and crappy, frozen, store-bought crab rangoons. People complaining of service when arriving unannounced with a party of 12 when the restaurant is on off season hours. I love this restaurant. It has great pho that doesn't have the standard dishwater taste of many small Asian places around GR. The restaurant is often understaffed because it's a small family restaurant. They do a great job but it's usually one person acting as waiter and host. We have called with parties of over 10 and been turned away but never had the gaul to arrive with one. Had some bad experiences with service years ago but recently it's been very good. Kong the host is fast and good at steering people to good menu options. Pictured below is raw beef and beef ball we ordered as takeout and cooked properly because we aren't morons. Excellent food. Would frequent this place if you know good pho from bad.

I think bc of the time, the bread must have been stale from when they baked it in the morning... to give you an idea, I didn't have them toast it, and when I ate it in the car on the drive home, it was crumbly, there were big pieces of crumbs everywhere. The meat portion was also little in comparison to the baguette. I also got a few snacks from the fridge: the coconut jelly, flan, and yogurt. The coconut jelly was bad, the white part (coconut milk gelatin) had gone sour. The clear part was still good - which I took a chance at bc it was $5... The flan did not taste fresh, the texture was that of a yogurt that had solidified and kind of liquidy... The yogurt was actually good, probably bc yogurt can't go bad... I also got the banh cuon and com chay, both of those were fortunately good. However the com chay container was stapled shut on multiple sides which made it a pain to open with the risk of the staples also landing in the com chay. Overall, I get that Vietnamese food might be scarce in the GR area, but quality was really lacking and if you had not had banh mi in a major metro area, you wouldn't know any better... I didn't come back and probably won't...

I stopped in recently and got a couple of bánh mì and some gỏi cuốn tôm (shrimp summer rolls). There is a kiosk where you can order, which makes it easy as it has photos and you can tap to pay. If you need a receipt, be sure to ask at the counter, as the machine didn't print me one. It only took a few minutes to get our order and we got to watch the employee assemble our tasty sandwiches. I got the bánh mì Đặc biệt (special combination) and Nate ordered the bánh mì thịt nướng (BBQ pork). The bánh mì are still my favorite in town, with perfectly crispy yet soft bread, fresh veggies and herbs, and delicious meat. The BBQ pork was my favorite this time, even though I always order the special combination. The summer rolls were refreshing and we love the dipping sauce.

The ambiance is pretty typical of any Thai restaurant. Tastefully decorated, not cluttered or tacky at all. The menu was a bit lengthy, but it was nicely laid out and easy to read. The prices are pretty comparable with other Thai restaurants. Our waiter, I believe, was also the owner of the restaurant, a very pleasant gentleman. He was knowledgable about the menu and offered a spice range of 1 (no spice) to 10 (extremely spicy), and anywhere in between. My son ordered the Drunk Mama dish, my husband ordered the Mongolian dish, and after asking if there was soy in it (and mentioning I had a soy allergy), I ordered the Vegetable dish. The waiter assured me they could make it without soy. It was literally only a few minutes when the dishes started coming to the table, piping hot. I had only taken about 2 bites when the waiter came over to the table, took one look at my dish and said, "Oh, let me remake that for you. I can tell this has soy in it." He whisked it away immediately. A few minutes later, I was given a newly prepared dish, without soy, and was told there would be no charge for dinner. I also received many apologies for the mixup. This is one place that genuinely cares about their customers. My vegetable dish was full of tasty, very fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The spice levels were perfect, the presentation was nice, and the taste was outstanding. We love Thai food and have tried a lot of them, but this one is now at the top of our list. We live on the south end of Grand Rapids, but we will definitely be back! I'm looking forward to trying many of the other dishes listed on the menu. I highly recommend you try Jasmine Thai too.
