I've been wanting to try this place since it opened in 2020 but haven't had the chance until now and it is so good! They have a wide selection of shakes, juices, teas and more. I got the Oreo shake and it had 24 grams of protein plus was super tasty. Perfect for a post workout snack/meal. They order both vegan and whey proteins too. There is a new owner and he is extremely nice--he let me come in to order even though they were closed. The store is decorated very cute too with trendy seating and decorations. I started going to MIX during quarantine and have been going often due to all of the delicious shakes, teas and combos. The mega teas (Blue Blast, Peach Ring, Spring Fling and Blackberry Lemonade are my favorite!) They are helpful when it comes to explaining their menu and what drink would be best. The owners are always so friendly every time and always greet every one with an excited "Hey:)Whats up!!", a super laid back atmosphere. I appreciate that everything is always clean when I enter. They do an excellent job at being kind while keeping social distance and following CDC guidelines. Saw a few reviews about mask use and even as a nurse I feel super comfortable entering MIX without a mask on due to the strict guidelines they follow and how clean the facility is. Mix Is a Great company that has a family feel upon entering. I have meaning to try this place for a couple weeks because of all the pretty pictures posted on other social platforms. I found out mix was opened and was not only serving the public at a distance but donating and delivering drinks to medical staff at hospitals. What a way to give back to the community during these hard times! How to order: You can walk-in and order at a table from afar, order over Instagram, or text/call. I walked in and placed my order from more than a 6 feet distance near the door. (I saw her sanitize the door after I left.) Clean environment and owners felt like family. Super helpful with the ordering process. My order: I came in and ordered 2 birthday cake protein shakes, a s'more shake, and an iced coffee with Hershey Syrup on the side (which is optional). The birthday cake protein shakes are made with high protein and low sugar. Out of the order these were my favorite and guess what?! Kids sucked those suckers down like it was a milkshake. A healthy alternative with a couple pretty sprinkles added . The 3 year old ended up not finishing hers and I put it in the fridge over night and she drank the rest for breakfast the next day. Protein shake was decent, however, how can you charge almost $13 for a protein shake. The woman working recommended one to me, and their menu was very confusing to understand so I just said I'll take it. $13 BEANS!!! That's more than my hourly wage this place almost put me in debt. Couldn't afford dinner after I dropped a bag on just a decent protein shake . STG they think they are Erewhon with those prices. Anyway, the lady working was nice still, so nice I was too scared to say no I don't want it anymore after I saw my total. The three stars are because the shake was pretty tasty which most protein shakes are kinda gross to me, so that's a win. Walked in with a mask on and the worker at the counter greeted me with "whats up?" Strange greeting for someone walking into your business. The young girl was sitting ON the counter chatting with her friend drinking coffee out of an open coffee mug. No masks. Backside on counter. I asked "Are you not wearing a mask here?" I have been trying multiple nutrition places and this one is my least favorite. I was greeted with Zero personality so much so, it almost made me uncomfortable. The tea had ZERO flavor, so im pretty sure not made right. The shake was just plain as well. The price, however, was cheaper than the others. Stopped in today looking for a protein shake after my workout. I read the reviews and some are pretty brutal but I wanted to see for myself. Yes, they use Herbalife products. I never tried that brand of supplements, but it's always a good idea to do some research on what you're actually consuming. So I looked it up after I left. You're always consuming supplements at your own risk. Protein powders are processed. That's a fact. Unless you're eating a food (such as a fruit or vegetable) in its raw form, you are eating a processed food. To criticize this company for selling processed foods seems dumb to me... don't avoid this place because of a negative review. If you are curious, stop in and try a shake or tea for yourself and make up your own mind. If you are health conscious and don't mind spending a little extra for a product that is fortified with added protein and vitamins/minerals, try it! I had the Nutter Butter and it was delicious! I will be back to try some other flavors even though their location is a little out of the way. Also, they did not try to push any Herbalife products on me. They simply informed me they are an independent distributor after I asked about it. I thought the owner was very pleasant. I didn't go in there expecting to meet a nutrition expert. I just wanted a protein drink. I think some critics need to adjust their expectations. This company does not claim to be something they're not.
