Came to this location for the first time today. Compared to my usual in Livingston, this location is much cleaner, and the staff was nicer. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich, and my daughter had the grilled cheese. I asked the staff to warm it up, and the food came out piping hot. I have not seen these items in Livingston. The strawberry refresher and lavender matcha frappe were also excellent. Too bad I don't live close to this area. Will come again in the future. read more

I have been to this Belle Mead locations on several occasions for coffee. While the service is friendly and the place is very clean, the expresso and cappuccino are never hot enough. The Lavazza coffee is very tasty but for some reason, it is always warm, not hot. A real bummer as this place is close to home and could be a regular stop for me. The various pastries that we have tried are very good. I especially like the croissants and the boston creme donuts. But unless they fix the temp on the espresso and cappuccino, I doubt I will return. Well, maybe just one last visit to see if they make the necessary improvements. When you walk in there is plenty of seating and the chairs are so cute. There is a huge case of sweet baked goods and another of savory goods. There is also a refrigerated section with sandwiches and fruit and other things. The service today was great. The girl was super nice. They have a large seating area next to their bakery selection. This bakery has a lot of dessert options but differs in some ways from the other parks baguette location. There are fewer Asian flavored options but all the desserts are still delicious. Lots of mochi donuts, fruit tarts, and buns. They also have whole cakes and individually sliced cakes . I was super excited to check this place out when I was home for the holidays since I'm a sucker for pastries. Unfortunately, they looked better than they tasted. I ordered an almond croissant and the mango brioche. Both were pretty mediocre and the bread tasted kind of stale. If you're gonna charge city pastry prices, please at least be fresh. Someone bought a cake from there last weekend though and it was okay, not too sweet. I think I'd stick to ordering cakes next time and maybe try their drinks instead. I ordered an ice cream birthday cake here and clearly requested writing on it when placing the order. That request was acknowledged--but the cake arrived with no writing at all, which was embarrassing at my child's birthday party. When I returned to discuss this with the manager, the situation got worse. There was no accountability or apology, but in fact, dismissal of my complaint (he said "not writing on a cake is not that big a deal."). The manager had zero empathy and professional courtesy. Instead, I was accused of being aggressive, spoken to condescendingly ("Do you want another cake? Well, THAT isn't going to happen."), mocked for asking about compensation ("Did you eat the cake?" with a jeer), and finally told to "leave and never come back." Mistakes happen. What matters is how they are handled. This was handled with hostility and disrespect from management. Completely unacceptable. I will not be returning and would caution others, especially for special occasions. read more

Super excited this opened in town! We always drove to the location in Highland Park but now this is just a short drive in town. Paris Baguette cakes are a family favorite. Their cakes are light and fluffy and not super sweet. We picked up a variety of pastries and all were delicious. This is a great place to pick Up treats when visiting a friend since everything is. Most importantly, the coffee is strong without the bitterness found at SB punctuated by the cakes/pastries that are made on premise... offering freshness and taste not possible out of Seattle's death star where the food-like objects are flown in from Transylvania all but embalmed and not ready for prime time. Despite their name I didn't see any baguettes or sandwiches with that quintessential baguette French bread. A real Francophile would know that the "boule" or round crusty French bread is the original but it was not available. I was ordering a sandwich dinner and only wanted a ham and cheese on crusty French baguette or any type of French bread. Mind you that I worked in international product development and am not a novice and have been to Paris many times and Nice as well. I asked if a simple ham and cheese sandwich could be made on crusty bread but it was not possible. Just when I was ready to give up I found a ham and cheese on croissant that was delicious but "cher" or costly thanks to inflation. Deserts were terrific with an amazing array of choices just not a Mille Feuille (Napoleon in North America). My choice is loaded with delicious vanilla pastry cream on crispy layers of thin pastry crust. It would be on my deathbed menu. Instead I ordered a small crispy sweet crust filled with pastry cream garnished with fresh berries. Also a mocha coated donut...both delicious with hot coffee. Prices were very high but you get what you pay for. Staff were very nice and packed my orders In lovely boxes. You could eat in and the coffee smelled great but I chose to take my order home to add a salad. Paris Baguette is a very welcome addition to Belle Mead and parking is a breeze. Highly disappointed sliced cakes for take out were not moist like it used to. Service was good. Staff is always pleasant. Ambiance is good. They put mayo on a bacon egg and cheese croissant and when I said something because I cannot eat mayo I was met with nasty well the sign says it! Well the description on line does not say it which was what I was going off of I picked out what I wanted before going into the store. The manager or whoever behind the counter was rude and curt. I was excited for the bakery to open so close! It's nice and bright with a great seating area. We had their strawberry cream cake for Christmas - the cream was not too sweet and light, which was perfect for us. The following morning, we went for breakfast first thing it opened. While everything wasn't lined up yet, they checked the back for us and was able to get a good selection. The twisted donut was very fluffy and the big cinnamon sugar was delicious as well with some crunch. We also got the sausage and spinach quiche, which was also great. The croissants were huge and flaky - kids approved. The glazed milk bread was soft. To top it off, their service was amazing. My car's battery died and we came inside so we don't freeze outside. The manager I believe kindly offered to jump the car and jumped in the freezing cold. He even insisted me go back inside while he continued to do so. My 7yo and mom stayed inside and they offered them milk and coffee. Their service was really above and beyond. Thank you so much for the help! read more

Beautiful new location! I had only ever been to the Chimney Rock location, and this one is easily 3 times the size. Super busy as it just opened, but the staff was friendly and smiling, and the pastries were absolutely delicious! All the bakers were fully masked as well, which I really appreciate. I love this Paris Baguette location. The cafe is always clean and has plenty of seating inside, staff is friendly and fairly quick with the coffee orders. Our drinks are always good and I haven't had a bad pastry from them. The cakes are good too, I like that they're not too sweet to eat, are flavorful and available by the slice! I also have to say that Paris Baguette's mochi doughnuts are some of the best I've had since the craze started! My go-to pastry is the Ham & Swiss Croissant and my husband loves the Croissant Donuts.
