Specialties
What makes us unique is that we offer a true taste of the Filipino home kitchen, right here in the Midwest. A region where authentic Filipino cuisine is incredibly hard to find. We started as Ohio's only Filipino food truck, and we have since grown to include a brick and mortar location where our family welcomes you just the same.
We don't just cook food. We invite you into our family. Every dish is made with the same recipes, techniques, and love that you would experience if you were a guest at our own dinner table. It's traditional, honest cooking made exactly as it has been passed down through generations.
We are a small business with a big heart, and we pour that passion into every plate. From our dedication to customer satisfaction to the care we take with every ingredient, we want every meal to feel like a personal invitation to experience our culture. Whether you visit our truck or our restaurant, when you eat with us, you are family.
History
Established in 2019.
Parilya began in 2019 as Ohio's first and only Filipino food truck, born from a desire to share our family's traditional recipes with Northeast Ohio. The response was overwhelming.
The food truck's success allowed us to open our brick & mortar in Olmsted Falls, Ohio where we expanded our menu and added Cleveland's first Filipino bakery. This gave us space to share more of our culture, from savory classics to the sweets of our childhood.
We were featured and served as executive producers for the documentary "Authentic or Not: A Filipino Food Revolution," helping share our cuisine's story on a larger stage.
Today, our food truck remains active and award winning. In 2025, we earned Judge's Pick and People's Choice at the Crocker Park Food Truck Challenge and won Best Dish at the Cleveland Asian Festival for our Pork Sisig.
From a single truck to a thriving restaurant and bakery, we are still the same family, cooking with fire and sharing our home with you.
Meet the Business Owner: Roger S.
Meet Roger, the heart and hands behind Parilya. For nearly 25 years, Roger built a career in the food safety industry, ensuring kitchens operated with care and compliance. But his true passion always lived elsewhere. It lived in the dishes he grew up making, the recipes passed down through his family, the flavors of home.
After decades of dedication to his profession, Roger took a leap of faith. He left the corporate world behind to pursue what he truly loved: sharing his heritage through food. In 2019, he launched Ohio's first Filipino food truck, bringing the taste of his childhood to the streets of Northeast Ohio.
Today, Roger's passion has grown into a thriving restaurant and Cleveland's first Filipino bakery. His unique background in food safety means every dish meets the highest standards, but it is his love for cooking that keeps people coming back. Thanks to his courage and dedication, Northeast Ohio can finally experience a Taste of the Philippines.
