My wife and I swung by this local Filipino joint. It was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint!! We opted for takeout and were greeted by the friendliest staff. The food? Oh man, it was something else--absolutely loved it. Their whole fried fish was a hit. Can't wait to go back and explore more of what's on the menu.

We took a sample of most entrees. It comes with white rice.

My fiance and I finally had the chance to go since it closes at 7 pm most evenings. We loved the food especially the curry bases. It's great to support many different kinds of Asian cuisine. Filipino is a new atmosphere I encourage you all to try. The husband and wife duo are very friendly too.

Wife and I have had the pleasure of visiting Kusinera a couple of times now and have sampled the majority of the entrees they offer. With the exception of the spicy pork that was too much for the wife, we both love everything we've had! The focus of the menu is on foods that cook up in a stew pot and so most things are ready to serve up right away when you order. The meat in all the dishes is very tender as a result of the slow cooking method. Appetizer options of crab rangoon and lumpias are both great! These are 100% the best crab rangoons I have ever eaten! They offer several different items for dessert but we haven't tried those yet. As for the ambiance of the place, it's very simple and low key. The staff are very friendly, it appears to be a real "Mom and Pop" operation. The restaurant is neat and clean but not at all fancy. Food is served with disposable dinnerware, the tables and chairs are very basic. The walls are covered with inspirational sayings written on chalkboard. The focus here is all on the food and it is fantastic!

Never having been to Danalynn's before, but have been wanting to try, this was the perfect opportunity. I immediately said "there's this Filipino restaurant about 30 mins. from here we that can go to." All agreed. And, boy, am I glad!!! We walked in and it was a pretty big, open space with plenty of tables - big enough for a party or small banquet. Nothing fancy, but very welcoming. We were immediately greeted by Analynn herself as she showed us to our table. She then sent Dan over to take our orders. We ordered the kare kare (peanut stew) with lechon kawali (crispy pork belly), sizzling pork adobo, beef bulalo (bone marrow soup), and pansit to share. The food arrives and Analyn's presentation is magnificent! [If looks could be tasted]. Time to eat! WOW!!! The kare kare was flavorful; the peanut sauce with perfect consistency; the vegetables cooked perfectly and placed on top; the lechon kawali perfectly crispy! The sizzling pork adobo was no adobo I've ever had before. I usually like mine wet... with sabaw (sauce), but this version of Annalyn's was amazing! And the bulalo... the flavors of umami punches your tastebuds with the first sip!!! By gosh... this is some of the best Filipino food I have had ANYWHERE, but especially in NEO!!! Looking forward to trying their buffet - 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month! And of course, there's a ton more on their menu that we will be back for. A three hour roundtrip for this culinary gem is definitely worth the while! If you're a fan of the cuisine, pro tip: DO NOT miss Dannalynn's!!!

The drumsticks were absolutely ginormous. They took 45 min to come out but were perfectly crispy outside and very well sauced. The side of radish was literally plain radish cubes with no seasoning- gross. The cole slaw was unremarkable. The bulgogi was Westernized shaved beef with seasoning. Not legit bulgogi but close enough to not be teriyaki beef either. The buldak was very spicy and had an interesting flavor. Kind of muted- not bad just not my cup of tea. Upon arriving, the restaurant was fairly nice but completely empty, so I thought I'd just eat in. Only to be told "you can't do that." I found it odd, but alas took my order to my hotel. One thing Bonchon ALWAYS gets right is the wings, and these were no exception. That said, the wings I had half my sauce in were incredibly small compared to the other half. One thing Bonchon ALWAYS gets wrong is to give you a fork and some stinking napkins. For the 100th time I had to take me coleslaw down like a chunky shot of tequila and nothing to wipe the wing residue away.
