I love all things horror related and the escape rooms were a nice added bonus. There were plenty of guests screaming and being scared which is always fun, but it almost seemed like they needed more workers in some areas. There were so many places that they could have had people jump out or simply be. . .and they didnt. . It was still fun, but I wouldnt say that I thought it was scary in the slightest. The escape rooms were cool! I love doing them!! Even though I wouldnt put this up to the same level as some others that I have been, I loved going here and think its a great fun place to go for October. I would def go back!

The owner does a good job and is very happy and willing to talk and discuss his yard. The whole walk through might take 10-12 minutes. The ending of course is the best part plus the "green, foggy" room. My kids and their friends enjoyed it and you can go through multiple times. Highly recommend give it a look at and enjoy the owners hard work.

I felt the price was reasonable and everyone was professional and stayed in character the whole time. I moved here recently from Vermont with my kids after my partner died. We got there about thirty minutes early and the line was already very long, so get there early!! Employees in costume were scaring people as they walked to the line, including a guy with a chainsaw. Super cool! In order to make this review easy to follow, I'll make a list of what I did and didn't like. What I liked: The actual haunted house is huge! I kept thinking it was going to end soon, but we kept on going. I really liked how different rooms had their own themes. I don't want to spoil what's inside, but they have some animatronics and effects that make it feel like you're tripping on drugs. I was blown away! The sensory overload was awesome. What I disliked: There's no way to put this kindly, but there are some *tasteless* people who attend this haunted house. So many people were smoking cigarettes or weed in line and blowing it on people. I reeked of weed afterwards. Two guys actually peed IN LINE. It was disgusting. There's music and videos to watch/listen to while waiting, but be aware that a lot of it is conspiracy theory stuff. For example, there were videos of the twin towers falling with text saying it was an inside job. The last thing I didn't like is the amount of people that go inside with your group. I can't really blame them for this though because they have to keep the line moving. So, be aware that you'll constantly be butted up against other people while making your way through. Overall, would I recommend it? I would go if I was a teenager. As an adult, it wasn't scary. If anything, it was cool because of the creativity. They definitely did their best to use every inch of space!

When we asked staff when we were leaving where it says that you will be touched by actors, and they told us to read the back of the ticket. The back of the ticket only has a paragraph about legal liability about if you are injured while walking through it. Nothing actually explaining what will happen inside, shitty company, shitty people working there. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Reason being I moved out of Ohio and before that I lived about three hours away from it's old location, near (now) Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky. That said, it impressed me even then with its combo stylishness/slyness. It's not enough to just scream and pop out. That's cheap. You have to be creative and use standard props in an interesting way. Hauntville did and does this. I visited them this Halloween season in the Elyria location and despite being woefully understaffed the creativity remained in high order. one of the most interesting psychological elements was in the Prison house. Not to spoil the surprise but the Warden character (good actor, btw) was always in an "elevated state," making the customer feel more helpless. Little atmospheric touches like this abound, especially in the succinct but suspenseful "Unknown" pitch black maze with multiple awesome "fun house" elements mixed in. Hauntville has HIDDEN RIDES within a few rooms. So fun. AND more BIG HEAD PUPPETS than any other haunt which are more customizable than animatronics, especially when the actors are strong and they are here. You can tell they care. Most of them could improv for days, especially the ticket taker at the Haunted Bayoo/Shanty house. (How many people can riff about "sister-cousins" breathlessly for ten mins straight?) I'm not a fan of being scared by loud noises and there were a TON of horns and whatnot. Hauntville had a lot of unique scares and things that were different than other houses. The actors with the chainsaws touched your legs with the fake saws and there were a couple big objects that ran right into me.
