You have to stay below the hole on the greens. The 4 or 5 flat holes on the back are somewhat a relief until you get on the green. This is a truly challenge course. The price is more than my golfnow budget typically allows but then this is not your average golf course as well. A true delight. The golf course staff was extremely friendly and helpful in guiding me to make the best selection. The husband-and-wife owners run the entire operation, and we chatted with them both for a while; they were so down-to-earth and incredibly nice. We most definitely will visit again and more often since we are only 30 minutes away.

They were going to have live music as well as a food truck in the evening but we had other plans. The winery offered samples for $1. Most of our group chose 4-6 wines to try so our table looked a bit crazy with all the glasses. The one downside was that the employee who helped us was relatively new and had us do our tastings from sweet to dry, instead of dry to sweet. She did say that she was trained this way but it threw me off. Luckily, the owner came in and we were able to ask some questions. When I questioned the thought process of going from sweet to dry - he quickly corrected our remaining samples and made a note to do some retraining. I enjoyed that this was a family owned winery. Even the kids were studying subjects in college to allow them to be part of the business as well. I loved the theme of time. Our group ended up leaving with several bottles and I would definitely recommend this winery to others.
