But when people really need the best care, they come to Houston from everywhere in the world. I was diagnosed with lung cancer and had a robotic assisted surgery which took half of my left lung and I was alert conscious and feeling good just a few hours after the 5-hour procedure. because Dr. Kim used robots so the incisions were small, and my recovery was quick. I was sent home the next day. One day stay for major surgery! The timeliness of care was excellent. it was 2 weeks from referral to meet with the surgeon and two additional weeks to schedule the procedure, so I was essentially cured of my cancer within one month. this compares very favorably to the other cancer hospital next foor, which has a waiting list. to summarize, I had a great surgeon, a state-of-the-art operating room, competent nurses and everyone had a good attitude. really couldn't be better.

I felt the exercises were too easy for where I was at vs. what was "protocol". I liked that Crom felt like a hip gym rather than a geriatric facility. The way they train is fantastic & stands out amongst the competitors. I always had Gabby, Tyler and Amanda work on me together in tandem. I'd come in, was always taken back promptly and they would all 3 take turns working on me and tell me what to do next. This system of "group training" vs. one trainer split about 2-3 patients is way better. I never found myself just "sitting" and "waiting on what to do next". They have a great, positive attitude. I think it really helped keep me motivated and for me to try my best every time. I also enjoyed chatting with the other people training around me and having some good laughs. Dr. Roy was great to work with and he is clearly very knowledgeable and has a friendly demeanor. You won't go wrong coming here!

I'm a returning patient and never had issues with this PT facility until today. I had to fly to…read moreEurope due to a family emergency on the 7th and scheduled my flight last minute on the 6th. I called to reschedule my appointment from the 7th and the appointments that I had scheduled the following week for the week of the 18th and the 25th every Tuesday and Thursday. Fast forward I had to reschedule my flight from the 17th to the 19th of December due to the same family emergency and completely forgot to call on Monday to reschedule my appointment on the 19th. I admit it was the last thing on my mind and only remembered mid flight on Tuesday. Today I was running late for my appointment but on my way when I realized I was not going to make it by 8.15. I called at 8.09 saying that I was running late but most likely not going to make it in 4 minutes. I was more than happy to forgo the 15/20 mts that I was late if they would still have me or I could come in later. No one picked up and I left a voice mail message. Get a message a couple of minutes later saying all my appointments were cancelled and had to call on the day for Availability. I called again and explained that I just tried to call to let them know I was running late but on my way and that I left a voicemail message and I was faced with a rude front of house staff that insinuated that he was there all morning and didn't get any phone call or voice mail message and proceeded to tell me I had a cancellation on the 7th (I rescheduled didn't cancel) and a no show on the 19th and today that's why all appointments were canceled and proceeded to give me attitude when I tried to explain what the situation was, which only left me more aggravated and frustrated than I already was. My deductible has been met this year and all my appointments are fully covered so I was trying to do my best to still make it to my appointments since next year I will have to pay for these sessions . The arrogance and attitude that I got this morning made me want to forgo all my appointments. I will find another clinic next year, for my PT and will gladly pay. Bare in mind that I'm a returning patient that has been to the clinic before without any issues. This is not a reflection on my therapist that was wonderful but a sad consequence of a misunderstanding and how poor customer service impacts patients.

An 11-Day Stay That Changed My Recovery After a serious auto…read moreaccident and acetabular surgery at Ben Taub, I arrived at TIRR Memorial Hermann not knowing what to expect. What I found was a place where world class rehabilitation meets genuine human care, and eleven days later, I left stronger, steadier, and deeply grateful. From the moment I rolled through the doors, the environment felt different. TIRR's reputation for rehabilitation excellence is well earned, but what truly sets it apart is the people. Every single member of the team treated me like a person first and a patient second. The medical leadership set the tone. Dr. D brought a level of expertise and clarity that made a complicated recovery feel understandable and manageable. Dr. Kaitlyn was thorough, compassionate, and genuinely invested in my progress, the kind of physician who listens closely and treats the whole person. Together, they gave me confidence that I was in the right hands. The therapy team is where the real day to day work of rebuilding happened. Georgia, Suzanne, Kate, Matthew, and Hattie pushed me, encouraged me, and met me exactly where I was each session. They knew when to challenge me and when to pull back, and they celebrated every small gain like it mattered, because it did. The progress I made in eleven days is a direct reflection of their skill and their heart. The nurses and patient care assistants who looked after me are the reason I healed the way I did. Hawa and Daisy brought calm competence to every shift, never rushed, always attentive. Abby and Olivia had a way of making even the hardest mornings feel manageable. Andrea and Mayra were steady hands when I needed them most, and their kindness never wavered, even on the toughest days. Tessa always checked in with a smile that made the room lighter. Jose, the one with the muscles, and you know who you are, made transfers feel safe and easy, and always brought good humor along with his strength. Betsy paid attention to the small details that mattered: positioning, comfort, timing, dignity. Isabella has a gentleness that's rare, and Angela went out of her way more times than I can count. And Philip, thank you for the conversations, the patience, and the quiet encouragement when I needed it. The people behind the scenes matter just as much. Alisha in facilities kept my environment clean, safe, and comfortable, and always did it with a warmth that stood out. Sandra from the kitchen made mealtimes something to look forward to, checking in on preferences and making sure I was well fed and well cared for. These are the roles that often go unseen, and they shouldn't. This team didn't just do their jobs. They went above and beyond. They showed up when they didn't have to. They remembered the little things, how I liked my pillows, when I needed a minute, what made me laugh. Recovery from major trauma is a mental battle as much as a physical one, and these people carried me through both. If you or someone you love is facing the road back from a serious injury, TIRR Memorial Hermann is the place I would send them without hesitation. The clinical care is exceptional. The human care is extraordinary. To the whole team, thank you. I'll carry your kindness with me long after the hardware heals.

I was transferred here today for continued rehab. Overall the facility is nice but in the first 30 minutes, I've already had paperwork and some of my notebook from the hospital stolen. The food is horrible. I was told when I left the hospital that I would be receiving all of my medication's when I got here that as per the hospital nurse when she gave report that everything was ready to go Some of these medication's, like blood pressure medication's heart medication's insulin and medication's to control trimmers and seizure activity after the stroke are life necessary and cannot be missed when I got here. I was told that because I was sitting over here late that they don't have any of the medication's. They may have some of them tomorrow, but because the medication's to control the trimmers and seizure activity and vertigo are controlled. Those may not be here till Friday as well since I was transferred late they also now claim they can't order my insulin till tomorrow so it could be as late as Saturday before it gets here. I have not been able to get any answers and I'm trying to force them if they cannot get the medication's to simply transfer me back to the hospital or a different hospital, they can handle it until they get the medication ready, but they refuse to listen so far. I've had three different nurses that don't speak English. This is a horrible facility. Do not come here. Do not send anybody here. I've been here three hours. No medication's the dinner I was given. Was this little bitty, nasty sandwich and some nasty cucumber salad. I'm diabetic and I was given pure lemonade with a lot of sugar without the availability of insulin. I wish I could give this place a quarter star, but that doesn't even seem like it's enough of a rating for this place. I say this as a regular hospital patient due to numerous medical problems and as a 20 year veteran of the medical industry as a front line 1st responder.
