When you try disputing it, they will say they refunded you however it will still come out of your bank account.. so just watch out for that . When I spoke to them in person, she said this is a new thing that's been going on because it's third-party and this is happening a lot.. it. Eventually got cleared but if I didn't say anything, I would have been charged twice. But the hotel itself is perfectly located at JFK for an easy travel day. The hotel has limited 24-7 snacks but That's better than some Places. The bars close relatively early. But the hotel was very clean and very cute. Despite a bad experience, I would give them a second chance.. as I carefully would watch my bank account

There wasn't a trash can in the room (I let the desk know and still didn't receive one), part of the drywall in the bathroom was falling off (which was actually very absurd considering the price), I had to ask for towels and robe, and the bed and pillows were VERY lumpy and should probably be replaced. The workers are polite but nothing more than expected. Connie's plane is pretty neat with an in service bar inside. The rooftop pool was great. It is heated but on windy days it still felt a little chilly. For hotel guests you pay $25 to have access for an hour & 45 minutes. Visitors pay $50. To just sit at the pool bar for the time slot was a $15 cover charge which seemed like a scam especially for the guests already paying hundreds to stay here. The hotel as a whole is clean and well kept. Considering the traffic that comes in from flight goers in between a layover or hotel guests, they manage to keep the hotel free of any trash or clutter. There's TONS of seating options. I will say I was laying on a bench to charge my phone and told I wasn't allowed to lay down though there was not anyone anywhere around me. I think the price of a stay should be cut in half at minimum or more perks (like included robes, slippers, & eye masks in every room, take home toiletry bag, bottled water, drink card, access to the pool bar during all hours, etc) should be included if you are paying the $400+ nightly cost. I could see myself returning in between flights but probably would not book as a guest again, which is disappointing because I was looking forward to this part of my trip the most!

I highly recommend arriving at the hotel ahead of time and exploring the beautiful location. The hotel is quite a sight to behold- packed with TWA history, designed in that beautiful retro aesthetic, and a lovely reminder of the golden age of flying. Walking around the hotel and exploring the gift shop might have been my highlight. At the pool, they're pretty strict about the timing and the lobby got pretty crowded right before the scheduled time. The pools itself is relatively small, warm, and shallow. We got some IPAs on tap (around $10 each), hung out in the pool, and watched the planes. I was a bit surprised but the overall crowd there. Lots of families with splashing children and people that really just seemed to want to be by a pool and didn't care about that specific location. Didn't necessarily expect so many people to spend money and come all the way to JFK without caring for planes but ofc that's up to them. Just something to keep in mind if you choose to come here. They also don't have changing rooms so you might want to wear your swim clothes or you'll have to change in the bathroom. I would give the hotel a 6/5 and the pool a 3/5. Would love to come back in winter for their apres ski chalet as I think the location is unbeatable.

I would not recommend buying food at the pool bar. It was not great and thrown in plastic containers. The cocktail the bartender made was very nice. Cocktails are $17 each. It was completed in 1962 and open for business. The original head house (aka: terminal building), operated as a functioning terminal until 2001. The exterior of the building, along with the interior, of the head house were declared landmarks in 1994. Moreover, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Today it is part of the TWA hotel complex, but anyone can visit the flight center, lounges, gift shop, food court, and museum area. In addition to the original building, it has been partially surrounded by additional hotel buildings. Inside, the former terminal has been restored to its former glory. You can see the open three-level tall windows with amazing views of departing and arriving jets in the sunken lounge area. There are the tube-shaped, red-carpeted departure/arrival corridors that now lead to rooms in the hotel, but used to connect the gates. Now various places in the head house and flight center are museum-type displays for the former airline. It is a very interesting place for anyone to check out the displays and read about the history of TWA. Moreover, there are additional items to check out like the old cars and the huge Twister game. Whether you stay at the hotel or just need a few hours to kill on your layover...this is "something to do". Personal Note: I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everything in the flight center. It brought back so many wonderful memories. When I was a little girl, my family and I used to look forward to flying in and out of here back when my dad worked for the airlines. We loved this airport and mainly because of this terminal...it was fun and different. With the way they have restored it, it almost seems like I entered a time machine to another time. I am forever grateful they gave this building a new life. I hope other families make new memories and remember the old ones as I did. It's a very special place and there is nothing like it!

Since JetBlue is JFK's flagship airline, I expected the terminal to be a pretty smooth experience, but the airport itself was a little overwhelming. The biggest issue for me was the lines. They were REALLY long, & I was disappointed that the accessibility line had to wait in the regular line. I'm not saying I'm supposed to get VIP treatment b/c I'm disabled, but waiting in such a long line was def difficult. Thank God I was w/ an attendant pushing me in a wheelchair, b/c @ least I didn't have to stand the entire time, (but it was still a long wait). I felt bad for the attendant(let alone myself) for having to deal w/ it. I want to make it clear that this wasn't JetBlue's fault(it was JFK).I'm not used to having that kind of experience @ the airport, especially when it comes to accessibility, so it def caught me off guard.

My reservation confirmation stated "Pay on arrival: $0.00," yet I was later charged a mandatory Urban Fee that was neither included in the reservation total nor disclosed with its amount. The only mention was a brief note buried in the comments referring to a possible "city/facility fee." If the fee is mandatory and the hotel knows the length of your stay when you book, it should simply be itemized and included in the total price. Instead, the final cost ends up being higher than the price you're led to expect.
