Staff was very nice, informative and helped set everything up with ease. Experience Was invited to try out so decided to do 2 games that were coop based. Once is with zombies and another with aliens. Both were pretty fun and exciting. I like how you have to move around to experience everything and the graphics were pretty good and realistic. I also like the assistance from the staff to let us know what to do if we are stuck or give us clues so we can move forward. This place also has pvp options and competitive mode that adds more fun to the experience depending on what you like. Worthy to check out!

As for the atmosphere, it was quite crowded, and a huge line-up for certain booths, but was ultimately worth it to try out different gadgets. This is an annual event held downtown at the MTCC (Metro Toronto Convention Center). It was on…read morehiatus for a few years due to COVID but 202 was the first year it returned. The best part about this show: tickets are 100% free! Vistek is the main sponsor/host, however you'll find all the major camera brands here; Sony, Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Fuji etc. They all allow you to test their newest and greatest cameras and lenses and tech. DJI for example had their latest drones including the FPV drove available to test (in a controlled zone) as well as gimbals and tripods galore. Throughout the multi-day event, some very famous content creators tend to show up (Peter McKinnon in previous years, Chris Hau) as well as award winning photographers giving their insight into major accomplishments. If you've ever thought about buying or upgrading your camera gear this is also a great time to go since you can not only test out the lens or body you're thinking of buying, but during the actual show they tend to have ridiculous sales on stuff (but only for the ~2 days the show is on)!

They do a decent job of taking care of it here. I also know that the ice gets rented out a lot of school hockey games and practices, both varsity and intramural, and it seems like the right kind of venue for that stuff. It's not a pro rink by any stretch, but it's the kind of rink you'd go to for a house league game when you're 10. Like most rinks of this caliber, if you're not on the ice, you're probably freezing your but off sitting in the stands. But there's a good sheltered area (right at the entrance) where you can watch a game without fear of frostbite. You should also be aware that the rink is not located in the best area. It's a bit sketch around there, but not so sketch that you need to bring a baseball bat for protection. Your hockey stick will do just fine.

Who knew deep in our history, GM company started with the McLaughlin family. This museum is a gem in the middle of Oshawa, Ontario, that is a must visit at least once.

It's a fantastic ecosystem for bees and small animals. Didn't love how far the bathroom was from the tea house/ garden restaurant (literally was offered a go cart ride), so go before you think you really need to. Service at the tea house was alright. Despite having many staff, it felt a bit hard to flag them down at times. We noticed too that they weren't too kind to people who didn't have reservations despite having a few empty tables that stayed empty for our entire dining time. I felt they could have offered to make a reservation with them on the spot or just apologized. Not everyone knows about this spot until they are on the grounds for a walk. The food itself wasn't really worth it. We ordered a few mocktails which were wildly sweet, but refreshing for this hot hot day. We ordered the poke bowl and it was pretty good. A lot of fresh veggies mixed in the bowl and flavour was light. Good and refreshing for a hot summer day by the beautiful garden fountain. The salmon soba noodles was not quite the same. My salmon was a bit dry which is either because it was over cooked or just refrigerated for too long. It's served cold. The soba noodles did not hold well. You can see in my photos that the noodles were basically just stuck in these hard chunks. Not twirlable at all and quite stiff. It was not great.. I was very disappointed. At that price point, you'd think they could atleast whip up fresh noodles for you. It was even more disappointing that they didn't even apologize or make any offers to salvage the experience. They just didn't seem to care much. It's a beautiful place but they're certainly not a great dining experience. It is incredible as an idea though so maybe just make a reservation to have a drink by the fountain.

The historic houses are only accessible with a tour guide, ran by the Toronto Historic Museums. We got a tour of the historic houses which belonged to and were occupied by the workers who worked in the nearby mills / factories, and we learned about how they lived in the late 1800s. Great informative tour. They periodically have events such as the annual Eco Fair every spring. The location is close to a few different trailheads in the area, with connections to the Don River Valley and the Don Valley trails.

My family was taking a day off together for a special celebration, and for the morning, we wanted to just check out a Toronto heritage site, walk a garden, and head off to lunch. I called ahead because I saw online that there are tour times but you could self tour, and I wasn't sure we could make it to a scheduled tour. The lady I spoke with on the phone assured me that the tour is optional and we can walk the site ourselves. So we show up, and there's only two houses... but they're both locked. So we go to the desk to ask if maybe the heritage site and houses were further down the road somewhere. I saw no mill, nor houses. They tell us we missed the 11:30 tour. It was 11:37, so I asked if we could catch up and we were told no.... Only after persistently asking did they reveal that actually, since no one showed up at 11:30, they just didn't do the tour. They're short staffed and couldn't spare people.... But we were welcome to wait until 1 and go walk to see the outside of the houses...... I just got really fed up because it was their own miscommunication and I had to drive from quite a distance. We'd seen most heritage sites in the GTA and this was one of the few left we haven't visited. I was ready to just leave at that point. It's free admission so it's not like they care if they have visitors I guess. But the girl at the desk got someone to cover for her and offered to walk us to the two houses. I could tell she wasn't thrilled about it, but mind you, it's not her fault and the poor girl was literally the only one staffed aside from the manager. She was probably as frustrated as I was that she had to deal with this. I was very grateful she took the time and she was quite knowledge about the homes. About the site: The mill was essentially gutted and turned into an art museum, which rotates exhibitions quite often. I was expecting to see and learn more about the site itself. Sadly, there's just a few signs here and there. The houses themselves were lovely, but sadly only two and you have to catch the tour if you want in. They do keep them locked, so not, you can't walk around yourself. One of the homes was from the 1800's which actually was a semi detached. The city built a doorway between so you can just walk both houses as one. The second building is a cottage home that was from the 1940's. It was quite interesting and I liked knowing that the original owners daughter helped them to refurbish it, so it reflects how it actually looked when she lived there herself. I do wish they had more homes at the heritage site. There's a 15 minute walking path too which is extremely untamed. Legit just a 15 minute short walk that's pretty much in a forest. You won't see much.. Over all, disappointing for a heritage site. There's really not much to see or do. And, you have to catch the tour, otherwise, you're welcome to just look at the outside of the houses.

There's a lot of information provided and most are lovingly restored. There's even a replica Model T / tiny McLaughlin-Buck you/your kids can sit in. Most cars are from the first half of the 20th century, with almost none from the 70s and later so if that is your interest adjust your expectations.
