Warning: spoilers ahead!…read more Agree with other reviewers, come early. It's open 7 to 10pm and we arrived at 7:20pm and had to stand in line out in the cold for an hour. The reason for the lineup is because they space ppl out so each group feels like they're by themselves and get fresh jump scares. Actual haunted house and haunted path is amazing, actors have great costumes makeup and props, path is very long and has many different buildings and themes. My bf was impressed by the fog and laser effect in one place with the actor crouching underneath and grabbing people's ankles. There was free popcorn from an unaffiliated business so that was nice. Only bathroom is a Porta potty. They charge $5 for each carnival add on and they are all pretty lame and should be bundled as all add ons for ten bucks or something. Luckily they were lax in checking tickets. (You get a single ticket from the lady at the entrance at the haunted house) In the middle part of the attraction you jump across the fence and the lady takes your ticket and grants you the Hellevator experience (disappointing because unlike what the trailer shows it doesn't go anywhere just rattles around with a voiceover) and the zombie paintball (they were broken, had to wait for repairs, and there were only 2 zombies popping our and you can't even see the impact of the paint) Just march over to the carnival area and no one will check for tickets. The museum of oddities is like 3 statues and 2 small shelves of stuff. The ax throwing is tossing axes at a wall of wood. The rest of the games are as described, very small scale. On the table there was a bowl with sticker packs of 3 promotional stickers for free so don't bother paying $6 for a sticker pack. All in all I paid just under $100 for 2 ppl and had a great time at this experience.

Another hot tip is to buy your ticket for a weekday at 7pm (earliest time) and arrive a little before it opens so you're one of the first to enter. That way you won't need to wait in those long lineups, at least for your first couple of haunted houses. Or just splurge for a front-of-line pass and go whenever you want. Your ticket includes entry to 7 haunted houses, each with a different theme, and the site has a fun show to enjoy ("The Kill Show") plus some rides, a booze lounge and food trucks. Honestly, I was impressed by 5 out of the 7 haunted houses (two were meh). A lot of the sets were really well done and quite creepy, and the actors were pretty good at coming out of nowhere and scaring the bejesus out of you. Try your best to lag well behind the people in front of you, otherwise you'll never get a truly good scare. The more crowded it is inside the haunted house, the less fun it is. IMHO this is way better than Legends of Horror at Casa Loma.

Legends of Horror is a yearly event in Oct presented by Captain Morgan on the grounds of Casa Loma…read more It started in 2022. The self-guided tour takes 1 to 3 hours to walk through the entire 2 Km trail, considered a "promenade theatre". The event runs from Oct 3 to Nov 2 in 2024, starting at 19:00 until late. A group of us went on 2024-10-04. A few audience members even dressed up in Halloween costumes. The cheapest tickets are $45 (Oct 3 to Oct 17) or $55 (Oct 18 to Nov 2) when purchased online. They don't allow use of flash photography so they will search you bags for flashes. The trail starts at a gate at the north-east corner of Walmer Rd and Davenport Rd. It traverses the grounds and tunnels of Casa Loma. The first portion of the trail has live and undead horror characters/animals that can pop up at any time. They never touch you and you must not touch them. Then you enter a hall where you can purchase drinks and snacks, with a live DJ to entertain you. After that, there is a 3D projection on the exterior of the castle, bringing the characters of the storyline and walls of the castle to life. Then you go through tunnels with fewer live or undead characters. Family hours are available Oct 18 to Nov 2 (17:00 to 18:30). It is for families with younger children, and less dark. There will be no live/undead characters. There are so many characters and animals to scare you. There are different themes like werewolves, Dracula, Stranger Things, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed it. We took 3 hours. Everything was well-done. Alcoholic drinks cost around $9-$20. Outside food or drinks are not allowed The trail is not wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms after the refreshments room. There is paid and free neighbourhood street parking and a paid George Brown parking lots. Review 2024-206

Regardless, I had a great time! They had four attractions, techno music playing in the background, clowns and other characters walking around scaring people, they had dancers performing a Michael Jackson Thriller routine, a couple fire pits available for rent ($75 for a group), a gift shop, drinks and a food truck. Loved the concept, it was entertaining enough for a couple hours, enjoyed the space and everyone's vibe... thank you to the owner. I enjoyed the Haunted hay ride in the forest. Alcoholic drinks were under $15, I had a 24oz White Claw for $10, my friends paid $8 for a beer. The food was under that price as well, the food truck had mac and cheese, three BBQ pulled pork sliders with cabbage for $10, tacos, loaded Doritos, think I heard someone mention hot dogs being served. I would check this event out again next year if my friends wanted to go but I would hope they added an actual Haunted House or something additional.

You enter near the Pumpkin patch and follow signs for the Haunted Forest for separate parking area. Parking is in a field setting. Scare actors were working the crowd and appeared to really enjoy the experience themselves. Michael Meyers and a clown were doing a great job. They have multiple booths set up with limited beer, hard cider, cider, and liquor drinks that were reasonably priced. Fry cakes would have been a great addition. There was a small snack stand with very simple items like popcorn. A small merchandise area was also available. We arrived early, not sure how crowded it was going to be and started activities when the sun went down. Started with "Megan performance" which was several dancing "Megans" to a song ~3-4 minutes, they did a great job. They announced on speaker 10 minutes prior to performance, which happens often throughout the evening. Enjoyed their entrance from the corn field. The funhouse is essentially a decorated shed, no actors - simple add on to the event. The haunted hayride was fun, decent length, comfortable seating (no hay). Audio issues on some of the stops (hard to hear), but actors were doing a great job, they appeared passionate. They drop you off at the haunted trail following the hayride. Some issues here where they didn't have lights on all of their haunted attractions in the woods, so you couldn't see what they were trying to go for. Quick walk back to the event area, but they haven't lit the path much at all. While I understand they are going for low lights, this was not ideal. The corn maze being dark and at nighttime adds a scare factor but only 2-3 actors in the maze (clowns), was expecting more. We bought the pass that included skip the line and we did save some time, but on opening weekend the waits would've been low. Overall, for a local event this is a great effort. I think pricing is a bit high at full price. You can buy tickets online or purchase there. Cards accepted. No bag rules that I could see. Bring shoes that can get muddy and definitely a jacket/long pants, ect.

We purchased a package that included the Nightmare Experience. Me: chicken, crybaby, scaredy cat, whatever name you have for me, I happily accept. Never liked scary movies; I know what you did last summer, scream and others like that. NO monsters! Every now and then I will try a haunted house because I know without a doubt, they are just PEOPLE dressed in costumes. Before entering we were asked a million questions about our health, including heart issues and seizures. Ok, I'm already scared. The young lady that took our tickets gave very specific instructions. Hold on to each other and follow the tiny red lights on the wall. It is completely dark inside. What!!! We are in line and once the light turns green to go, we enter. Our final warnings are NO hitting or kicking. If we want to end the scare, all we have to do is yell "nightmare"! Really? Well, she didn't lie! It was total darkness! I was scared because I couldn't see any of the scares coming. None of the monsters that jumped out, or spiders that crawled on me, or the jeep that almost hit us. That was pretty cool. AND, we had to military crawl through a tunnel, in total darkness! Just following a tiny red light that guided us. It was a lot of fun, I did NOT let go of hubby. Glad I used the bathroom first. Lol.

Most haunted houses in Niagara falls (and just in general) are set up to be dark, have some gags, some props, neat decor to look at, maybe some scare-actors in costume; this is not that. This is a dark maze, with dead ends, winding corridors, narrow crawlspaces, and shrinking rooms. There are minimal gags & props, and more loud legitimately terrifying noises, electric shocks right next to your head, and the props are designed to scare the absolute life out of you, and your only guide is a small red light in the ceiling; so if that's what you're into, then this place is top notch. If however you prefer a more calm, artistic haunted house, with an actor in a vampire costume jumping out in front of you, then this place might be a bit much. Especially if you didn't bring an extra pair of clean underwear with you. Highest possible recommendation... But only for a very specific kind of horror fan.
