As usual under staff and poor management ! Moreover, Zaater pastries came cold ! After complain we received exact ones more crusty . Waitress was so welcome and I feel so bad that she kept running here and there. Only2 waitress for the whole restaurant ! Falafel came as 2 part. First was with Humus.Second, the serving plate with pickles came with the rest of tea. After a while bread served hot and fresh !!! . The quality of paramount's food you can say is the ok between others but still understaff and poor management screwing and frustrating me and my family ! In terms of place is smaller and less people than Erin mills and Hamilton branch. Atmosphere is almost the same, playground and prayer room available. They are successfully able to franchise and brand Middle-eastern food on upscale category. But still customer satisfaction is the key point to keep it up. The good: a basket of fresh, warm pita bread at your table with tasty hummus to dip it in. The bad: The night we visited, the service was lacking a bit. The young woman who served us was either overworked or simply not interested in paying attention to us. After we waited a while, she did come and take our order and then brought our drinks, and then we couldn't catch her eye again. We flagged down someone else to ask for napkins. Someone else delivered our food - my wrap was tasty, but my daughter had asked for no pickle in hers, and it was chock-full of it. Anyway, another person refilled our bread, and that was good. Came in for the first time. Beautiful decor. Staff was chatting to each other and then finally came to seat us after we waited about 5 minutes. Tables beside us were still dirty and staff didn't even clean them which was kind of gross. Food - don't get the falafel wrap- it's extremely dry and poorly made. If you take a bite on the right side you'll only get pickles, if you bite on the left side, you'll get really dry falafel. No consistency with the wrap. So disappointed with this place. My husband and I tried Paramount for the first time tonight. He ordered the Chicken Shawarma, with fries on the side. I had the Beef Shawarma, with fries on the side. Both wraps had more fries then anything else. There were very little pieces of meat in it, and were filled with other things to make it seem bigger. The taste wasn't anything exceptional, and was very mediocre. The fries were probably cooked earlier that day and put under a warmer, because they were horrible. They were stale and dry and cold. I really wanted to like this place as the restaurant was decorated beautifully, and the kids play place was an awesome touch. The worst service I have ever received. Came for lunch there was one other table and the waitress was MIA. She seemed 'swamped' when trying to flag her down. I had lunch here yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed trying the mezza plate with hummus, mouttabbal (eggplant dip), and tabbouleh salad. The fresh pita bread that came with is very soft, thick and delicious. I also had the sambousek with cheese, but the mezza plate was the highlight. read more

I ordered 2 chicken schwarma dinner...one with fries and the other with rice. Fries were soggy as expected because it was fresh but was cover up but still taste good. Good amount of rice but it was bland and had no flavour and had 3 pieces of pickles and 2 pieces of pickle beets. The worse was the shave chicken. It was so dry and what should be crispy...instead was hard and tough. In my past review of this place was great as yiu can see in the picture..the quality!! This place was one of the place on my list of regular visits but now I don't even want to go back ever. 3.5/5 stars. My gf and I have been coming here a lot lately. We've tried different items on the menu and liked everyone of them. More so than others. The main one being the lamb. I asked if I can get it med rare, for I prefer it that way. But the waitress said they don't cook it that well, but she'll ask anyway. It turned out being medium/med well. I didn't bother sending it back, because I figured they don't cook it med rare. I was craving lamb again down the line. Again, asked for it med rare. This time, it was an improvement. But not by much. Some pieces were medium, some were medium well. It was more tender the second time around, but didn't taste like lamb. It had an off taste about it - Kinda similar to liver. It didn't taste like lamb at all. I've come to the conclusion that I'll never have lamb there again. Besides that, everything else on the menu that I've tried have been excellent. Their garlic sauce is second to none. Its strong. It hits you like a ton of bricks to your face. Carry gum/breath mints, shit, even mouthwash with you after your meal. You'll need it, cause it'll be on your breath till the next day. I'm not complaining, because I prefer my garlic sauce that way. Same with my gf. I hate other restaurants that are stingy with garlic, that you can barely taste it. I've noticed some places that don't even add garlic at all and pass it along as such. They can't fool me. The pita is also second to none. It's a big portion and comes to you hot & fresh. A couple issues that I've noticed happen a couple times and it shows in the quality of the food, is that after the meal has been prepped, it sits under a lamp. It doesn't stay there for long, because the cooks ring the bell when it's ready to be served and the waitress' dish it out. But even if it doesn't sit under the lamp for long, it tastes like it has been. Like I said, we've come here multiple times and the food has been great. But some times were better than others. You can really tell the difference with the quality. Sometimes you could taste the freshness, other times, you can tell it's been sitting out for awhile. Also, you'll hear people complain about the service, but as someone that's in the food service industry, they work with what they got. The waitress' that serve us, works hard. We see them trying to accomplish multiple tasks at once, with little to no help. Maybe if management steps up and helps them out, people wouldn't be complaining about the service. My gf was born in Jordan and this is the place where the food reminds her of it. For that fact alone, we'll keep coming here. read more

Update: sadly the last few times we tried to go it was terrible. Tables filled dirty dishes and extremely long waits while staff move like molasses. We actually walked out without ordering last time. We loved our experience at Paramount. My mum suggested we go as we both love middle eastern food. We arrived to an immediate and beautifully lit restaurant with large windows just as the sun was setting. It was spectacular. The server was very sweet and kind. She was also a very competent server. She told us about Ramadan and the special. She even offered a taste or special coffee and samples of baklava. We both took little boxes of baklava home to enjoy later. We ordered the Ramadan special even though we're not Muslim, but the special looked so good. It was fantastic. So much food. The only thing I didn't like as the Jalleb drink. I suspect it's an acquired taste. My mum and I both loved the lentil soup. So flavourful. The meat grill was perfectly tender and succulent. The rice had a lovely seasoning. We especially loved the garlic sauce. The meal came with a beautiful fattoush salad as well. At the end of the meal we spoke to the owner who seemed to filled with joy and very kind to al his staff. This place is in a great location and i would consider it "upscale fast food." The service is slow. We waited over 20 minutes just for the server to bring our bill. The food was good, fresh and fast so that was a plus. It seems the portions keep getting smaller and smaller. A wrap combo that comes with French fries will literally have 10 French fries accompanying it. There is also not enough meat in the wraps. Paramount Fine Foods have been on a rapid extension of its brand with several new locations opened and opening. The interior is nice enough and gives you the perception that the food is being cooked fresh with many wait staff cruising around. The table are large and comfortable. The service seems a bit cold. It may because of a new wait staff. The quality of the food is OK. The meat is heavily seasoned as Middle Eastern food is and tastes ok but a bit "over" seasoned. Desserts are limited and seem a little "oily". If you're on a strict diet the desserts here may not be the lightest. Overall the service and ambiance were OK as was the food. The outdoor patio seems a little ill situated near a major intersection however a hill blocks the actual street view. read more

The food here is good, but the one lady waitress who has long dark hair is consistently stone cold. Even when we want to go to this restaurant for their food, we often decide to go elsewhere because it feels unpleasant just to think about how cold this lady is. One time, she didn't bring us the complimentary bread, and when we asked for some, she said that what we ordered (full entrees) didn't come with complimentary bread, but she begrudgingly brought us some when she realized that we weren't stupid. We've been wanting to try this location for awhile now and were there for lunch yesterday. We ordered a couple of pops, Kebbeh to start and a BBQ Beef Shawarma Plate and a Beef Kafta Plate. The Good: The service was pleasant and attentive. The Kafta tasted good, nothing exceptional, but good. The Bad. They forgot our appetizer and when the main course was served the server apologized that the kitchen did not tell her that they were out of Kebbeh. The Beef Kebabs were hard and overcooked, there was way too much rice and no sauces to accompany. So basically a dish with kebabs, rice, one slice of tomato and some pits. Not impressed at all. We had to ask for sumak, hot sauce to get some taste to the dinner. The Check: $42.00 for 2 not including gratuity. For that price, I would recommend Rayhoon in downtown Burlington. read more

I made an order of pepperoni-veggie pizza for pickup, and the pizza barely had any toppings. There were around 5 olives, green peppers and pepperoni pieces on the pizza. One of the slices only had pepperoni on it even though its meant to be a "Pepperoni Veggie Pizza." Absolutely terrible and unacceptable way of presenting the food, especially since it doesn't require much effort to add toppings on a pizza. If the restaurant had run out of the ingredients or something they should have been able to communicate that and allow me to place a different order. I only realized this upon arriving home, so I was unable to make the complaint directly to the restaurant. I'm probably never coming to this branch again, it is one of the worst paramount branches, and i've seen this type of behavior across other orders i've made as well. read more

Was there (the Burlington location) last week for a late dinner. Terrible, absolutely terrible chicken shawarma. It was dry as a skin and tasteless. The server forgot to serve the salmon rice dish we ordered. We ordered a chicken shish taouk platter for eight. That was reasonable but we thought it was quite basic and barely enough (and we are not big eaters). The humus was not that great either and in small quantity. The only things tolerable were the salad and the pita bread - but I would not pay those prices for these fairly commodity items. Our experience in the Hamilton location was far better. Love the taste but hate the service. 1 pizza and 2 manakesh stacked in one box. Stuck to the paper of course and it just looks messy. Never saw anyone stacking pizza with hot melted cheese in one box. Not sure if paramount is saving on pizza boxes. Paramount is the by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to. "Middle Eastern" restaurants are supposed to be filling and worth the price. We asked to speak to the manager and he told us that all Paramount's were like this. The service is horrible and the portions are the sizes of kid meals. I will never repeat this mistake again because it's not acceptable. We have been to Paramount's from all around and the portion sizes have never been so disappointing. Amazing Food. We ordered the kabaobs and Shish Taouk in addition to the appetizers. The bread, food and everything was delicious and very tasty. The flavors were very authentic and reminded us all of our time in the Middle East. The service was a little slow, but the restaurant was busy, so we can forgive them for that.
