AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! if there was a way to give "0" or negative stars I would. The customer service has been the worst experience of my life. Let me start by saying that I had 3 different companies give me quotes for the siding and almost 3 months ago one of the Reps from Paramount Builders came out to my home and he was great, very nice, polite and knowledgeable. He told me that the siding that I was looking at was the most popular and that they have a very good stock in their warehouse and that this project should only take between 4 - 6 weeks to complete. well we signed the contract on 6/13/24 and had a bad storm where my siding was falling out and i sent the rep a text with pictures (on 6/26/24) and he was going to look into it but he never got back to me so i hired someone to come out and secure the siding back until i get the new siding changed. I kept waiting and waiting but no response. Today 8/6/24 i called Paramount and i talked to Theresa she was very rude i was explaining to her what happened and she cut me off and said she would transfer me to someone else, then the 2nd person was also rude and said that she will find out and call me back and that her GM would call me with an answer because she didn't know what to say except to say congratulations because the material are finally in the warehouse. I asked about cancelling and she said she has to ask and have the GM call me. When the GM Sherry when she called she was also rude, i was explaining what happened and i told her what the other person said "congratulations your materials are in, we called you on Tuesday to see if you have time next Tuesday for the install" Sherry said yes we called you to find out if we can install next Tuesday but that was a lie no one called me at all, if i didn't call today after 3 months i would have been still waiting for someone to call me. When i told Sherry that i got my siding fixed because of the lack of communication and service to me (the customer) so i told her that i wanted to cancel, Sherry as a GM of this place dealt with situation in a very unprofessional manner and said that i have to pay 35% of the cost which is about $13,000 which in this economy is ridiculous to have a person pay that amount after giving a $3,00 down payment (which was cashed in as soon as i gave them a check). my understanding is that their customer has to be 100% satisfied with the service and product which i am 100% DISSATISFIED with the entire company due to the most unprofessional customer service experience. not only did they not install in a timely manner, but they are also threatening me to steal my money. i would like the owner/vice president to call me and give me my $3,000 back. I will NEVER EVER recommend this company to anyone. This company is past the deadline and I was sold some siding under false pretenses, the sales rep said it was supposed to be done in a certain about of time (4 to 6 weeks) and that time has come and gone. read more

I purchased a full trim wrap package as preventative maintenance on my new home. My wood trim was in good shape, but there is a ton of wood on the exterior of my house and I figured that getting it wrapped would give me some peace of mind. The quality of the work is atrocious. There are certain sections that are passable, but the majority of the project looks awful. There are large bulges on nearly all of the corner posts and most of the panels on the bay windows, and it has been getting worse over time. Worst of all, this summer, just a little over a year since I had the installation done, I have had a lot of humidity problems in my home. Turns out the crew did not remove the existing vents or wood under the fascia, which was specified in the contract. So now I have basically no attic ventilation due to the existing small vents having the vented vinyl fascia overlapping. I attempted to resolve many of these issues last year, but didn't have much luck. They sent the original crew out once and they did nothing but add more caulking over top of their original bad caulking job. After they failed, I was put in touch with their one-man repair crew. He was always under the impression that he was only coming out to 'trim the patio doors', which the company had decided to throw in to make up for the issues I had. I explained multiple times that I had several issues that needed to be addressed, and yet I kept hearing the same thing, even after he had arrived one day and I explained it in person. I sent pictures of all of the issues to the company and even had my salesperson come by and see them in person. read more

Fast, efficient, and clean! Our rep was easily reachable and always available to answer any questions that we had. All staff was friendly and communication was maintained through every step of the process. We had every window in our house replaced, and could immediately tell the difference in noise level and temperature within the house. 11 windows and one sliding door replaced, great price for value of product! 10/10 would recommend this company! read more

Requested a quote to replace an entry door and a storm door. Quote before discount was approximately 16K. I wanted to laugh at the salesman. Next day I get a call from their office telling me I qualify for additional discounts and can they come out at 2:00 PM to remeasure. I declined and told the caller that I do not have time for used car salesmen tactics. Definitely not a company I would do business with. read more

I have been a customer with PB for some years now; they have redone my windows, entry door, and I am in the process of having them redo the roof system and gutters. The products they sell are excellent, and the warranty (life time) that comes with them is absolutely necessary to protect the financial investment. I have had some issues with the one of the windows (seal was not perfect) and the paint job on the entry door; when I called them they were responsive, courteous, they replaced the door slab w/out having me to argue, they resealed the window and they even sent a manager after the repairs were completed to make sure I was satisfied. Sure, PB is not cheap. But believe me when I say that I have hired cheap contractors in the past to find out later on that the installation was shabby, the product was far inferior to the expectations and the warranty was a joke. Case in point: I had my roof redone five years ago by one of those storm chaser companies; five years later I lose shingles if it is only breezy. The installer says it's a product defect, the manufacturer claims I have proper shingles and it was an installation issue. So now I am going with the one company that backs up both the product and the installation for the same period of time. I have seen reviews of PB by other customers who complained about the too aggressive practices of their sales people, and their high prices. Yes, they are persistent, it is no different than walking into a car dealership; you have to be prepared to stand your ground. And yes, they are expensive, but you always get what you pay for. read more

Paramount Builders came to my door trying to sell me updates to my house, when I clearly have new windows and perfect aluminum siding. I told the guy we were not interested in any updates to our house at this time, and he continued saying Spring is the best time to make changes, blah blah blah. Like I wasn't even there and he was a robocall. After telling him 3 times that I was not interested, I had to interrupt him to say good luck with his work, and then had to shut the door in his face while he looked like he was going to cry. Pushy and rude. I will never do work with Paramount Builders. read more

It was the end of February early March that a several of my neighbors were having a new roof put on their home. Knowing that the 60 mile an hour wind storm that came through the area a few days ago had pulled off some of the shingles on my roof, I watched the installation of the new roofs being put on with great interest. I was very impressed with the crew as I watched them do their job. They took great care to protect the areas around the homes, they worked together with great teamwork not stopping till the job was complete. Their clean up as the job was finished was outstanding. So, I made the call to Paramount Builders to ask if I could get more information about their roofs, within two hours there was a representative at my door. Sean O'Connor took the time to tell me about the company's products, the company and how all the products were covered by warranty. He was able to answer all my questions without hesitation. Interested in the product I asked that Sean make a return trip the next day to talk with my daughter who would be helping to cover the cost of the new roof. He said no problem, being out of the Fredericksburg office and helping in the Dale City area for the day he turned my request over to Doug Coffman, who is out of the Dale City office who returned to explained the product to my daughter and once again, he took the time to explain the product to my daughter and answered all her questions. They both did an outstanding job and I was very impressed with both men with their knowledge of the company and the products. We picked out a new roof, new gutters, downspouts and the gutter protection system. The warranty was the seller for me!! The Timberline high definition shingle comes with GAF's transferable Lifetime warranty plus the backing of the Good Housekeeping Seal as well as Paramount Builders backing of their work and the products. So, it was just a few weeks when the order for our blue roof came in and the crew showed up to start the process of installing our new roof. WOW!!! What an outstanding job these installers did. As soon as they got on site they went right to work and they worked great as a team getting the job done and did an outstanding job cleaning up the area around the house making sure everything was picked up. I was so excited to see the finished product once they were done. A few days later the crew to put in the gutters, downspouts and the gutter protection system showed up and they also did an OUTSTANDING job!!! Getting right to work and had the job done in no time. They also handled themselves very professional just like the first crew that came and their cleanup was just as great as the first crew. In short, if you want to work with the best, and you want the job done right the first time you need to work with the group that has an outstanding product and who has trained their staff and equipped their staff with all the necessary tools to do an OUTSTANDING job that goes above and beyond your expectation. Every single person I worked with from Sean and Doug who went out of their way to help us, as well as the installation crew were so very professional and went above and beyond excellence. I requested an estimate from PB to have my roof replaced. I set the appointment up for the early evening. They were a no show. I received a call the next day with an apology and a discounted rate to meet them again. The rep was 45 mins late for the appointment. He had been in my house for 20 mins and had not even started to measure or discuss their product. At 30 mins and still no discussion of product I let him know I had other plans and since I had set aside an hour and a half but he was late I would have to be going. The rep tells me we would need to reschedule sine it takes 2 hours. At 40 mins I had to actually get up from my kitchen table and go to the front door and open it to prompt this guy to leave. Finally, he is at the front door, and says well let me tell you just a little bit about our product. I opened the screen door for him as he was still talking. Talking, talking, talking. Oh my gosh. I do not need strong armed sales, I need an estimate. In who's reality does it take two hours to get a roof estimate? I have no doubt their product is good since it has a lifetime guarantee but wow, their sales guy was horrible and couldn't get on point in 40 minutes. read more

Had Paramount Builders install my roof and I couldn't be happier. I know it was a little more of an investment then what some people say they paid but I also know quality materials and installation more then most and would rather do something right the first time then have to do it twice. Between the warranty and the curb appeal it actually increased the value of my home and made it much easier to refinance after being one of the unlucky ones who bought right before the bubble burst. My home is now quieter when it rains and it has actually helped lower my electric bills a little which did surprise me. I see other people's roofs that look bad after 7 to 10 years and act as though it's normal. I am glad I will never have to worry about that and it will actually be something that helps me sell rather then a worry when I do sell in about 10 years after my daughter graduates. I worked for PBI for a year and a half . It's all good at the beginning, but I started to see that the install crews adding work to the jobs that wasn't on the work order. They also way over measured the work they where doing. Here is one example if a townhouse is 22ft wide on the front and back how do you get 151 ft of gutters? Some how they did. Management says bring it to there attention and they will look into it. That doesn't happen, they drag there feet and spout off about how transparent they are. After the sales rep gets a handful of discrepancies they are out hundreds off dollars they quit or get fired because they complain about the cost outs. This company lies to there sales people. They don't care about the sales person, For them it's easier to find new sales reps than to find crews to do the work. Beware Big Ed talks out both sides of his mouth.
