My husband had an initial meeting with Ronald, who was very knowledgeable, for a quote. We received an official quote from Jennifer, a few days later. We were able to review and request modifications to the project online and we appreciated the transparency and clarity throughout the process. We requested quotes from two other contractors and Jenix was the most responsive, thorough, and was available to start the project way earlier than anyone else we spoke with. Jenix worked in our house for over a month and the crew was always respectful of our space, prompt, polite, and tidy with cleaning up at the end of each day. Even better, it was super convenient that they hauled away demo debris so we didn't have to figure out how to dispose of it. The team was patient with our questions and proactive in asking our opinion on key design decisions. When we weren't sure about a decision, they were always willing to provide guidance based on what they thought was best. Ronald and Jennifer were responsive and flexible when we requested changes that resulted in rework to ensure we ended up with a final result that we were happy with. Thanks to Jennifer, Ronald, Nelson, and the rest of the Jenix crew for a job well done!

There was never any question that they weren't doing the work or giving less than their best despite the finish date being much later then initially estimated. Before the work began, I provided a design (see photo attached) and they made every effort to make it look exactly like the design. No corner cutting whatsoever! Throughout the process, he was very communicative and often stopped to ask for clarification on certain aspects of the build. Both projects turned out wonderfully built and I honestly couldn't be happier. TLDR; Quality work, very communicative.

I used Brother's Best Construction to renovate my new home. I was excited to work with them…read morebecause I had seen their work and read positive reviews. They seemed very knowledgeable, had a lot of experience, and were willing to work with my budget and wish list. They added siding to the back of my rowhome, repaired my roof, and did some brick and mortar work on the front of the house. They also installed a heavy up of my electrical system which required permits which they were very experienced with writing and submitting. The biggest and most impressive job that they did was renovating my unfinished basement. It was a blank slate and they worked with my and my changing design to give me a one bedroom one bathroom unit that I now Airbnb. I am very happy with how everything came out and would definitely recommend their work.

On top of the quality of work was the professionalism they showed in their work, the easygoing nature that Eddie had when speaking with my parents about details and any item (English is not their primary language), and the cost of their services, which were shockingly less than others. These guys helped my parents get their dream kitchen and patio; I have a feeling they could do the same for you.

What really stood out was their expertise--they offered thoughtful recommendations on improvements and changes that truly elevated the project. I hired this company to redo a shower stall. Because they were already going to be doing concrete…read morework in the shower stall, I pointed out two, small, hand-sized areas of concrete that needed patching on my balcony. The owner Chris, said he would not charge me because it was negligible. I was happy that they were a good faith company who wouldn't nickel and dime me. Boy, I turned out to be wrong on that! Their work in the shower was just alright. It required a second pass to fix some lines that were not quite straight and they offered to fix it. The shower was substantially less work than initially scoped. The estimate was for a much larger job than needed to be done to fix the shower. I expected to get a discount on the initial estimate. Chris discounted me $200. I agree to pay him the full estimate minus $200 for services not rendered in the initial estimate. After the job is complete, Chris suddenly springs me with an additional charge of $100. He wants to charge me for the balcony patches, which were two child's hand-sized areas. This was quite irritating because not only did they not have to do as much of a job on the shower as they initially thought, but he was going to flip-flop on his initial word that he wouldn't charge me for patching the balcony concrete. He began harassing me via e-mail, using adjectives like "ridiculous" and questioning my character. This was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. Within a couple of emails he began threatening to take out a lien on my property. That sounded odd to me, like he was bullying and on an anger trip rather than negotiating like a regular contractor. A lien on my property for a dispute over $100? Sounded unreasonable. I would have gladly paid the $100 if he had been honest with the charge up-front, or if he had sent me a change order in writing saying that the balcony patching would take more effort and he wanted to charge for the balcony. It was neither. The patches were tiny and he did much less work in the shower than he initially expected to have to do. It seemed like he was extorting me for additional money after the work was complete because he felt he could get away with threatening me, or because he didn't really like the fact that he had to do a second pass on the shower floor to get it right. I began talking to my condo building manager about this contractor. I learned that he fired one of his workers who was known for doing outstanding work on bathrooms, then threatened him physically if he ever worked on remodeling any of our building units. In short, this guy is trouble. Like the other reviewer also noted, he changes price quotes in the middle of a job or after the job is done, and gets nasty and short-tempered. There are a ton of contractors out there, save yourself a headache.
