I had a disappointing experience with the Vivint sales representative Eli Reid. Before I signed the…read moreagreement, he was very attentive, responsive, and made it seem like he would be available to help if I had any issues. After I signed, that completely changed. The installation was never completed. The technician came out once but couldn't finish the installation and returned a few days later. When he came back, I told him I no longer wanted to move forward with the service. I was told I would have to pay an additional $100 to cancel on top of the $35 I had already paid, even though the system had never been fully installed. When I later spoke with a customer service, I learned that there was a way to properly cancel my service and that my sales rep (Eli Reid) could assist with that within minutes. When I contacted Eli to provide me with what was needed to cancel, he said "Sure! I'm working right now, but I will take care of it when I get a moment." Afterwards, Eli text me and literally said, "She's just going to have to keep it." Very unprofessional and not at all assisting. I guess he's no longer willing to help. I understand that companies have contracts and cancellation policies, but I expect honesty throughout the sales process. If promises are made before a sale, they should still matter afterward. I hope Vivint provides better training and accountability so future customers receive accurate information from the beginning. All in all, if a gentleman by the name Eli Reid (I.D. 609711) comes by your home, ask for a better sales rep.

They were recommended to us by neighbors that had good experiences with them…read more We had researched and researched which surround sound system we wanted to go with our smart TV.... after a while, system overload and you don't know which is the best... We had focused in on a Bose system, mainly for their name recognition, but the Southern Acoustics techs recommended the Sonos ARC system, with sound bar, surround and sub-woofer speakers... We are so glad we took their recommendation. A wireless system that sounds incredible. Their techs recommended a wall mount system over the fireplace, and they took care of all of the ordering. They gave us the option of ordering the equipment ourselves, which, in hindsight, I wish we had done because it took them quite a while to get the equipment in. We could have gone the same day to Best Buy and bought it ourselves for the same price. They were professional, prompt and very respectful and courteous. They installed and then tuned the wireless system to our room. Now here is the rub. They mistakenly installed the ARC sound bar upside down on the mantle just below the TV. It is understandable how that could happen since the SONOS name is attached to the front of the speaker, and it reads SONOS forward and backwards, so it looked right when it was upside down. We never had a clue that it was upside down. Now, fast forward two years later. We installed a Direct-TV dongle on the TV, and that is when we noticed the ARC being upside down. The ARC has Dolby ATMOS upward firing speakers, so the sound WAS being compromised. I called their office and explained. The techs were out the next day to correct and re-tune the system, no charge. Great company that stands by their work. Definitely recommend them.

Jennifer answered my first phone call and tried to help me, but couldn't so she asked Bobbie a few questions and that was fine. I called back a few minutes later with the same problem. We are connected with our landlord's security system so after speaking with him, he said there was an issue last night and an error was on the main security panel. I looked at their system and retrieved the error message. I called back the third time and Bobbie answered. I told her who I was and she just sat there. I asked, can you hear me? She said Yeah! Wow, I am in customer service and I thought she does not need to be answering the phone. I explained that I had spoken with our landlord and this was the error message on his system. I asked her, do you know what that is, her response was very unprofessional, with a bad attitude. I'm sorry the first impression of a business is who answers the phone or who greets you. I would never recommend them to anyone.
