But the one thing we keep coming back to, aside from our health/family, is being so SO thankful for you guys. Your team of direct employees, your sub contractors, everyone.. every single person that we have met has left a wonderful impression on us. You guys build A LOT of homes, so maybe it gets lost on you (although with the patience we've experienced from each of you, I suspect not), but this process can be so stressful. Heck, when we came to you guys from our last builder, we had broken spirits and honestly weren't even sure if building was something we wanted to do, but you guys changed that. We've had friends that foolishly went with other builders tell us HORROR stories about their own experiences and every. single. time. we look at each other and shake our heads and think "omg that was almost us, but THANK GOD we went with Costa". Every step of the way you guys have been patient, up front, honest, kind.. the list goes on. They parged and waterproofed the exterior block walls of my 110+ year old house, reworked spaghetti plumbing and electrical work by the prior owner, replaced plug-in hanging shop fluorescent lights with switched bright LEDs, and put up drywall for a fresh, clean, bright look. They were flexible in adjusting the scope of work and worked to accommodate multiple quirks that we discussed along the way. I really appreciate their thinking of everything and executing every aspect of their plan with exceptional workmanship. He did a beautiful job and was a pleasure to work with. A professional and a perfectionist. I had him come back months later to do counter-to-ceiling subway tile in the kitchen. He made cheap box store subway tile look expensive and beautiful. I recommended him to my parents, and their backsplash looks beautiful, too. I will happily hire him again when I'm ready to do the entryway fireplace.

Lawsuit filed in Washington County, PA Court. This couple's response is to ignore letters from our attorney served on them by Sheriff. Save yourself the heartache and the money by finding yourself a reputable contractor that gives you a real contract to sign and stands by their work. Don't believe "Upscale Tile / ArtistiK Tile" website that they really care because they really do not. Their emailed offer last year to "replace a few tiles and regrout" was hardly enough to fix the mess they made of my brand new kitchen. (See pictures I posted.). Had three separate contractors come to give written estimates indicating the stone cannot be repaired without cracking and entire large kitchen backsplash plus wallboard must be replaced (or completely sanded down!) at considerable cost to us. Even have statement from the stone tile manufacturer that it is an installation error after this guy tried to blame his crooked installation on tile defects. ORIGINAL POST: Awful backsplash installation in our brand new house in summer 2016. We are just sick...everyone that sees it is horrified. Had to hire an attorney. Don't trust any 5 star reviews on this tile business as they are written by owner's relatives/in laws... From the first meeting, we knew our house would be in good hands, with restoration to make it look the same way it did when it was first built. As with many home projects, once the work began, it became clear that we had bigger problems than we first realized. Not only was the soffit in rough shape, but the box gutters needed to be rebuilt. The Healey company took care of working with a roofer to line the new gutters they built with copper. They were always communicative about what was happening and why, respectful as they used our basement bathroom and utility sink, and they cleaned up after their work all around our house. It was a pleasure interacting with the various team members. I would not hesitate to hire them again for any project or to recommend them to anyone. Their work was exceptional.

Our project was to remove a VERY outdated, dilapidated sunroom/greenhouse room on the back of our Pittsburgh-area home and replace with just a simple concrete patio. We needed the structure, tile flooring, old interior doors, and drywall removed. We then needed a staircase refinished, new exterior doors installed, and siding installed to replace the drywall. JR and his team not only took care of these items through quality work, but then they did some additional projects to help us prep the home for new renters. JR was truly a dream come true for us since we currently reside in CA, and I was going through a high-risk pregnancy that didn't allow me to travel, let alone stress about this important project. We had several bids from various contractors, but when Jack came over with his wife to evaluate our deck and rear wall to provide us with an estimate; my wife and I immediately knew Jack was our first choice. His friendly yet no nonsense approach made us feel as if he valued our business and that he would be honest about what we really needed. Considering the nature of covid, Jack made it a point to communicate any delays or changes that were necessary and worked hard to keep costs to a minimal. Our deck is approximately 25' off of the ground and sits on steel beams, yet Jack, Jim and Brad handled it as if they had been there before. The deck is beautiful! When they went to replace the T1-11 on our rear wall there was so much water damage that it had to be torn down to the studs. The damage was well beyond the scope of the initial job. They worked with us and made sure we had no worries through the process and worked hard to replace everything. Other contractors would have gouged us, but J & J kept it fair and affordable. Considering the nature and difficulty of the repairs and all of the unexpected work, J & J made it an exceptional experience. I highly recommend them!

Zac replied to the Yelp posting the same day I posted it and we came to an agreement on a good price quickly. They were out to my house within 2 days and had the work completed in a single day. There are also some architectural corbels on the front they restored as well! They procured the paint in the colors I requested, hauled away the debris, and even cleaned the gutters and touched up paint on part of the adjacent dormers even though it wasn't in their scope. The team was super nice and respectful, and I'll definitely use them for future projects!
