Since this is going to be our "forever home", I had some very specific items I wanted included. From our very first meeting, John took the time to listen to my ideas and concerns, and shape them into a "do-able" project. No missing spots, no drips, no runs, furniture removed and replaced. Mike and his team did quite a bit of work in the bathrooms. They replaced toilets, cut holes in the tile wall for new outlets, and replaced old pedestal sinks with new floating vanities and sinks. The work was done efficiently and correctly. While the architect always had aesthetics in mind, they never seemed to have our personal aesthetics or our bottom line in mind. I found the team at EcoCraft to be incredibly respectful of our financial limitations, and to be transparent with costs from start to finish. The preconstruction on our very challenging property included multiple meetings with the City, lots of paperwork, and what could have been real headaches. EcoCraft made this part of the project a complete breeze. Lastly, they use SIPs construction, which means your eco-friendly dream house will go up much more quickly than with many other building methods. Highly recommend them!

Ask James Contracting did a great job working with us, completing multiple projects at our new…read morehouse. First they did painting for us in multiple rooms, and they were very meticulous. The job was done quickly too. Then, we had had them install engineered flooring in a living room, two bedrooms, and a hallway. As I write this, they are working on the staircase to the upstairs, installing the same flooring there as well. As often happens, there was a mix up in the delivery from the store and there was not enough of the stair nose. James was flexible and was able to come back as soon as the correct pieces were delivered. I appreciate that he takes the time to explain what he is doing as well. I recommend James and his crew for similar projects.

Kept promising that his electrician would show up and never did. But in the end I'm thankful we arrived and realized we needed to put a halt on the work. A corner of a wall was literally just taped instead of making a right angle. Areas that were supposed to be mud were actually spackled which does not fix cracks. He glued wood pieces on my floor and didn't listen to our previous conversation of needing to match the kitchen floor up with the extra in the basement. To add to that I saw one of his "crew" leave with my ladder on my garage camera (came in with no ladder and left with my $100 ladder) I did not confront this until I arrived in person because i was trying to give the benefit of the doubt. It was in my sunroom with all other belongings so they went in there when they should've been no where near there without my permission. James told me he would ask said worker and then radio silence after that. They left a huge mess and was in my floor refinishers way even though I gave clear instructions not to be there at that time (construction dust and floor refinishing don't mix) I'm still mad at myself for being conned. Please don't be desperate for a contractor like I was and check license and bonding prior to your investment and home being worked on.

From the first meeting, we knew our house would be in good hands, with restoration to make it look the same way it did when it was first built. As with many home projects, once the work began, it became clear that we had bigger problems than we first realized. Not only was the soffit in rough shape, but the box gutters needed to be rebuilt. The Healey company took care of working with a roofer to line the new gutters they built with copper. They were always communicative about what was happening and why, respectful as they used our basement bathroom and utility sink, and they cleaned up after their work all around our house. It was a pleasure interacting with the various team members. I would not hesitate to hire them again for any project or to recommend them to anyone. Their work was exceptional.
