We had been dealing with a leak in our roof that was starting to come into the kitchen, so we were looking for someone who could start the project sooner rather than later. Also, to complicate matters, we wanted new siding on a portion of our house and the back patio suddenly needed be addressed due to wood rot from all the ice/snow this past winter. We interviewed and received quotes from 9 different roofers/companies. Tim, by far, offered the best combination of price, value, solutions, communication and expertise for all of the work that we needed done. Once we agreed to the contract proposal, Tim and his crew came out a week later and got all of the work done in 2 days with the roof portion only taking 1 day of work! It was unbelievable how efficient and effective Tim and his crew were at completing all of the work. Tim also took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns (which were plenty) and was flexible and understanding when we changed our minds and added another job (we wanted the front of our house sided to match the second story portion). Tim and his crew also did a fantastic job protecting our bushes around the house and even our lawn, as recent rainfall had made it quite swampy. Cleanup was very thorough all around our property as well! We consider it quite a blessing that we were able to find Tim to complete all of these projects for us! Even his communication goes above and beyond expectations in terms of response time with text messages or phone calls, and knowing who you are when you contact him. We would trust Tim and his crew to complete any projects we may have for our house in the future!

Tim was the last guy we sat down with. Luckily he did my mother's roof a few years back so she referred him. This is crucial since he doesn't have much advertising and otherwise we would have never known about him. He came out the same day he called me back to take a look at the roof. He put together an estimate and we were pleasantly surprised! About 1/2 of the most expensive bid and almost $1,100 cheaper than the cheapest bid which didn't include an additional roof to be installed over an outdoor structure. We thought we sure hope this isn't too good to be true. Tim and his crew started the job the very next week. The job went off without a hitch! Tim and his crew took just two days to rip off my entire roof and replace it with quality Owens Corning shingles, and put a metal roof on my outdoor structure. They came early, about 7:15 and worked until the job was done. They cleaned up everything and even cleaned our gutters while they were up there! I can't say enough good things about T. Harrer Roofing and Remodeling. They are a young company, but what they lack in age they make up for in professionalism, quality work, and value. Excellent job. Will definitely be using them again for other projects.

We had so-called experts come out and looked at the scope of the project and never called us back or the bid was so unbelievably expensive it discouraged us. We found Brix N at . Seth and Paul came out and installed three windows and a sliding glass door that had to be cut in solid brick and put it back together. The project came out perfect it looks like it was original . Extremely happy with the quality of work and with their work ethics. We had a setback with the sliding glass door. It was Pella they at the factory installed transom backwards . this caused a 3 to 4 week delay in getting the job completed Paul and seth came back and never complained once that they had to take the old door back out and reinstall the new one. I would highly recommend these guys for any project. Great job

Ask James Contracting did a great job working with us, completing multiple projects at our new…read morehouse. First they did painting for us in multiple rooms, and they were very meticulous. The job was done quickly too. Then, we had had them install engineered flooring in a living room, two bedrooms, and a hallway. As I write this, they are working on the staircase to the upstairs, installing the same flooring there as well. As often happens, there was a mix up in the delivery from the store and there was not enough of the stair nose. James was flexible and was able to come back as soon as the correct pieces were delivered. I appreciate that he takes the time to explain what he is doing as well. I recommend James and his crew for similar projects.

Kept promising that his electrician would show up and never did. But in the end I'm thankful we arrived and realized we needed to put a halt on the work. A corner of a wall was literally just taped instead of making a right angle. Areas that were supposed to be mud were actually spackled which does not fix cracks. He glued wood pieces on my floor and didn't listen to our previous conversation of needing to match the kitchen floor up with the extra in the basement. To add to that I saw one of his "crew" leave with my ladder on my garage camera (came in with no ladder and left with my $100 ladder) I did not confront this until I arrived in person because i was trying to give the benefit of the doubt. It was in my sunroom with all other belongings so they went in there when they should've been no where near there without my permission. James told me he would ask said worker and then radio silence after that. They left a huge mess and was in my floor refinishers way even though I gave clear instructions not to be there at that time (construction dust and floor refinishing don't mix) I'm still mad at myself for being conned. Please don't be desperate for a contractor like I was and check license and bonding prior to your investment and home being worked on.

Unneighborly…read more Waking up to their crew yelling in our residential neighborhood before 7 am, working start time, for months is the least of my worries. Being sworn at by their staff is not neighborly. They seen to forget that the street does not belong to them. What's truly frustrating, and why I would never suggest the company- they do not use working phone numbers for their permits that they file with the city. So getting ahold of someone when there's a real issue is impossible. For example, their construction crew is causing a very serious and dangerous issue with the buses scheduled to pick up preschoolers each school day in the morning. They are blocking the road with cranes and equipment in the middle of the bus stops. This causes an unsafe situation. It has also caused children on the street to miss school. Since where their bus stops is being used as a construction area. But since the company does not post any working numbers for permit or the public then there no way to discuss with the owner or manager how unsafe they are being when blocking the street with equipment in the am. And since those on the site are no receptive to discussions with neighbors about problems- problems continue to mount. I like being told to go "fuck myself" and that I'm fat whenever I ask the crew when the will be moving their equipment out of the middle of the road as they block our entries streets access, but especially my front door. This builder runs a real classy crew. I can't wait until they're done building near us. It's horrific and it makes me resent our new neighbors who haven't even moved it but bought with them.

At our request, we asked for our project to be postponed until early spring due to lack of materials and opening our home to the elements, it was not practical. Construction was to begin right after Easter 2021 but we received notification through an email less than a week before starting that they were no longer going to do our project. There was a huge lack of communication throughout the entire process and when we did actually speak to either Bobby or one of his employees, we were assured each time that everything was in order and those few things that were not would be taken care of in the next couple of days. However we would never get a response on finalization of those particular concerns. We had given a lump sum of money in summer 2021 and asked it to be returned when the agreement was made to start in spring and a new check would be issued. They gave us the run-around and no money was returned until after they canceled and less all our permits which are only good until summer, which is impossible to get a new contractor in that short amount of time. I highly recommend you do your research before you higher a contractor. Make sure to ask for references as well. In the end, I am glad that RJ Steele Construction did not open up my house.

They also repaired a hole in the bedroom where a security panel was and you can't even tell there was repair work done.
