I provided the exact coordinates in writing for my tattoo, and the artist still tattooed the wrong coordinates on my body. Let me be clear, this not a miscommunication, and it was not a minor mistake. This was a complete failure to follow clearly written instructions. There is absolutely no excuse for permanently putting incorrect information on someone's body when it was handed to you in writing. Because of this negligence, I am now left with a tattoo that is wrong and will require additional time, money, and emotional stress to fix after already being out $400 for this monstrosity. This could have been avoided with the most basic level of care or a simple verification before starting. That did not happen. If you are considering this shop, especially for anything meaningful like text, numbers, or coordinates, understand that accuracy and attention to detail are clearly not taken seriously here. I trusted this artist with something permanent, and that trust was completely misplaced. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

4/2 appx 530p: was very excited to get a hummingbird tattoo especially at a hometown shop. Young lady at counter was kind. I told her that I was willing to co create a design with water color background. Tattoo artist was rude, dismissive, unprofessional, uninterested. I wanted saturated color - he showed absolutely no interest other than strumming a highlighter across a green book. He told me that the bird has to face a certain direction. Not my preference at all. I asked why (it's my skin) and he said, "those are the rules". For whom exactly?! Walk right by this store. Especially if you're a local. I would give negative stars if possible read more

I highly recommend Paradise Tattoos! My boyfriend and I decided to get tattoos while on vacation. We didn't have an appointment, but they were able to get us in the same day! Ellie was incredibly helpful in figuring out exactly what we wanted and even gave me recommendations on what would age well since I wanted something with fine lines. Joe designed both of our tattoos, and he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. My boyfriend's tattoo was more complex, and Joe designed it based on a random picture online and a verbal description. Joe provided his professional opinion, and the finished artwork is amazing! He finished in half the estimated time, but he seems to factor in pain tolerance and if the person needs a break. Overall, excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff! We are extremely pleased and will consider going back if we visit Key West again! read more

Customer satisfaction is not high on their priorities, came back to have something touched up and they wanted to charge $100 for literally a dot of ink. Offered 20 bucks for their time, but that was not sufficient. The manager, Weird Al Yankovich, was not customer focused at all, just wanted to be right instead of taking care of a customer who dropped over $400 the day before!!! read more

Highly do not recommend this place for a decision this permanent . They are seeking the drunk key west tourists to make poor decisions. We attempted to pick and get a tattoo this past weekend here and so many red flags came about that we ended up getting up from the tattoo chair and walking out. *As we were choosing our designs which were meaningful to us, the two women that worked there huddled behind the counter and giggled loudly. We became insecure whether they were laughing at us and the designs we chose already making us hesitant within the 1st ten minutes being there. *being in Key West which is high in water sports, they never took the time to advise us you cannot get in the water after getting a tattoo. Feeling rushed, They actually did not advise us anything at all- just shoving a paper for initials in a hurry to begin. *they are not clear on the pricing. We were condescendingly informed no matter how small the design we chose it would still be $75. (We wanted tiny wrist designs) But then when she went to charge me suddenly changed it to $85. (Hadn't changed the size though) *one male tattoo artist barked my name to come to his chair as though he was annoyed I wasn't immediately rushing over to him, although nobody told me that is where I was supposed to go. *when I tried to make light of the situation and cover my nervousness I made comments that I needed someone to hold my hand or take photos. He rudely informed me nobody would be doing that. So in a last attempt to warm him up and make this an enjoyable experience I said I was ready only if he had a smile on his face. He glared at me and rolled his eyes multiple times. *****I seriously have not encountered someone that demeaning, angry and rude in customer service in a long time. That was my last straw. I felt so nervous and uncomfortable and learned quickly my sister was getting the same vibe so we rescued each other and left. Don't make a decision you'll be stuck with, with people that care so little. We wanted a fond and fun memory. You won't get that here! read more

My dad sister and I went to get tattoos while on vacation for the week in Florida and we found Paradise tattoo on Duval street and thought we would give it a try we got set up with the artist Rick. He made our experience amazing from start to finish and was kind and put a lot of thought into stencils as he was making them. Throughout the tattoo process he made beautiful lines and showed great attention to detail even in quick time! So the night crew seemed very friendly, wished they had time to do the tattoo my partner wanted then. We went back the next morning. The tattoo was overpriced but figured it was Key west pricing... so it was what it was. The problem was how rude Dan was, while he finished the tat in 5-10 minutes when we wanted a second to look at it in the mirror he told us "you can look at it later all you want, it will be there a while" now if the tone was meant in a funny way, ok I would get it, but he was truly just rude and obnoxious. Dan made the experience a big negative and I think in a service based business especially with things being so slow, you wouldn't act like such a prick. RUSHED, RUDE AND OVERPRICED for the experience. DO NOT USE DAN IF YOU GO THERE read more

First of all, we walked into the shop to see dirty couches full of clutter and a man came around the corner shirtless. That caught us off guard but we thought it was fine. Then he started talking. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude. My friend explained that she wanted a tattoo of a word in Hebrew and he took that as an opportunity to open about about his beliefs which lead to some incredibly inappropriate comments and racial slurs - including how religions other than his all deserved to die. We were all getting a bad vibe from him then he demanded we call him immediately so he can email us. Not really sure what calling him has to do with email. We were all very uncomfortable so we walked out and he bullied us about leaving. It was incredibly awful. Please do not go here.

I was so eager to get a tattoo that I went ahead and gave this creep 400$ up front. Almost immediately, he launched into a 30 minute political/ religious rant bordering hate speech. When I told him to stop, he (shockingly) didn't. When my eagerness wore off and I realized I was quite possibly standing inside an extremist's meth den, and that letting this guy poke me with a needle was a BAD idea, I told him I wanted my money back. He of course refused, even though he hadn't started the tattoo, so I called the police. This guy was quite familiar with taking money and then having people call the police on him, because he knew there was nothing they could do about it. I had a good time. I was in last night when myself and my friend were looking for tattoo ideas Nani was trying to help us decide on a tattoo. She did not try to convince me to not get my tattoo of my childrens dates. She simply stated ideas that would not come off as possibly looking as my children had passed. The lady saw us speaking and was telling me I shouldn't listen to her if she is not a tattoo artist, and Nani mentioned that she was only trying to give suggestions, and that she was not an artist but had worked there for 9 years. I saw that the lady was being rude to the counter girl and I left the shop because I as well as the woman being rude were well over our drinks. She was sitting with us looking at my phone and at no moment did she vape while we spoke. I am grateful for her help, and so sorry she had someone other than myself write on my experience. We will be back when I have a solid tattoo odea for my lids. Thanks Nani! read more

Visited: July 2010 I was tattooed here in July of 2010. This place is on the main drag, so it gets quite a bit of foot traffic from serious customers as well as "lookie-lous." If you are a tourist in Key West, and chances are good that you are, be prepared to stop in ASAP. If you plan well, you will be able to secure an appointment before you get home. I would also recommend that you get tattooed toward the end of your visit so you can swim with the dolphins and scuba dive without ruining your new tattoo. Lou tattooed me and did a great job on my octopus! You may pay a bit more to be tattooed, but that's because you are in Key West and getting a SOUVENIR that will last forever. If you are a woman getting tattooed, be prepared to be gawked at by the lookie-lous while you are being worked on. There weren't any portable screens when I was tattooed here. This establishment is safe, clean, and friendly!! read more

Went to get tattoos with my mom. Everything was fine until it came time for the artist to draw our tattoo and I asked him to make it a little smaller and he flipped out saying, " I guess so that's just a lot of work and if you change the size I need to readjust the armrest for the tattoo seat." Then I apologized for being difficult and when he placed the stencil I asked him to straighten it out a little as it was VERY crooked. He yanked my arm and said, " IS THIS NOT STRAIGHT??" I had to stop my boyfriend from losing it on him and finally just asking for a refund and walking out. This is a picture of the "straight" stencil. read more

This is one of those shops where the people behind the counter look down on you because you don't have as many tattoos are them yet they don't know the difference between a 2 gauge and a 00 gauge body jewelry.. Pompous, unfriendly, and quite frankly not even the best tattoo artists on the island. (Seriously? Did you people stop looking at Duval street or were you just drunk that early in the day?) They charge downtown prices for work you could get done better and for less money if you just shopped around Stock Island. read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PARADISE TATTOO!! Paradise Tattoo is VERY professional, talented, knowledgeable and friendly. ALL the staff are helpful and make you feel comfortable whether it be just stopping by to look or to sit down down and get a tattoo/piercing. We've gone 2 years in a row on family vacation and will return again in the future. read more

Went there because we heard this was the place in Key West to go. From the moment we walked in everyone one was top notch. 4 of us got tattoos. Rick sat down with each of us and had drawn out exactly what we wanted. The counter girl was a trip. Definitely worth the time and memories. Can't wait to see them again. read more

I was able to book here during my visit. Tons of people coming thru this place, mostly nosy! I think they should charge admission for these tourists. Gotta say though, decent job, good tattoo, nice crew. I'd come back recommend to others. Non-tattoo tourists, stay out! read more

When in Key West - right? It's fun to choose you tattoo, they've got so many options to pick from, like a whole wall-full of designs. Tattoos (depending on their size) are about $20 each. Both of us got one, I asked the guy and he said it's similar to henna but not the same. They use the tattoo as an outline and go over it with their paste and then you don't touch the area for an hour or two. The tattoo is supposed to be light at first, then darken up. This is such a touristy trap thing to do. But don't be surprised, in a week, mine had disappeared off of my shoulder. Pretty sure they guy said it'd last a month. Oh well, the experience was fun.
