Walking by on bustling Duval street, you can't miss the Temporary Tattoos stations set up along the side. We passed by during our day and on a whim decided to do it. When in Key West - right? It's fun to choose you tattoo, they've got so many options to pick from, like a whole wall-full of designs.
Tattoos (depending on their size) are about $20 each. Both of us got one, I asked the guy and he said it's similar to henna but not the same. They use the tattoo as an outline and go over it with their paste and then you don't touch the area for an hour or two. The tattoo is supposed to be light at first, then darken up.
This is such a touristy trap thing to do. But don't be surprised, in a week, mine had disappeared off of my shoulder. Pretty sure they guy said it'd last a month. Oh well, the experience was fun. read more
