I knew I needed help with my tinnitus and hearing loss, but I didn't want to be one of those persons who spends a gob of money on hearing aids, then doesn't use them. And here's where Dr. Kelly Hanscom really helped me out. I sport a shaved head, so it's not like I have luscious locks to help hide hardware behind my ears, so I really wanted to go with jamming the whole shootin' match in my ear. Dr. Kelly advised me on the available options and clearly explained the pros and cons of the different styles of hearing aids. I used a set of loaner hearing aids until my ordered units came in. Dr. Kelly tuned the loaners (and then my person devices) so that I would receive greater amplification of the frequencies in which my hearing is deficient. But she didn't overdo it. This seems to be where a lot of new hearing aid users experience frustration. I've heard several people say, "I'd wear them, but they're too dang loud!" Dr. Kelly artfully managed the acuity and volume of my hearing aids over the course of three months. As she explained, if a new user gets too much volume at first, it can be "jarring." That's the perfect word. So, over the course of three months, Dr. Kelly eased me into the "power" of my new hearing aids, and she also spent plenty of time ensuring that the fit is perfect and that I understand how to maintain and care for my new devices. I love wearing my hearing aids. It's been four months. The tinnitus therapy is wonderful! In fact, my wife can tell by my mood at the end of the day if I have been wearing my hearing aids. Without the tinnitus therapy, she says I am noticeably more anxious by day's end. And don't forget to say 'hello' and be nice to Franchesca at the front desk. After just a few visits, she had my name down and she regularly offers me cookies when I visit. Don't struggle another day with your tinnitus and hearing deficiencies. It's not only affecting your quality of life, but it's also affecting the quality of life of your family, friends, loved ones, and co-workers.

I was hesitant to make this appointment because obviously I am not deaf or in need of hearing aids, but I knew there was a problem. There are a lot of scams out there that offer something for free only to bait and switch you and say there will be a charge for that. The hearing test is really free. The doctor at Connect Hearing was so kind. At no point did she do a hard sale about products I did not need. The doctor did about a hour of hearing tests and than she sat down with me and walked me thru my next steps Thankfully, I just need to follow up with a Ear, Nose and Throat doctor to treat my hearing issue which is no big deal. But, wow. So grateful for this office and for their kindness and information. 100 percent recommend.

He said well based on test my right ear the nerves not responding to sound, said you dont have infection or fluid. The man did not look at my sinus, in my throat or touch me. I spoke with the corporate and they said that this specific location should be able to work with us because the staff made a mistake with what they said, but the doctor did not want to accept our side and said that we needed to pay anyways . She was kind, compassionate, caring, and understanding. I explained, I was having severe issues and was very anxious, however the Dr was booking out into June so I made an appointment and asked her if anything came up earlier, to please reach out, she also told me to feel free to call back to see if there were any cancellations. I decided to check back and when I called, I asked if Bailey was available and had the pleasure of speaking with Megan. What are the chances now days to contact a Dr.'s office and find not one exceptional employee but two? Megan was absolutely amazing just as Bailey was. I explained I was just following up to see if there were any cancellations. Megan was so kind and explained unfortunately there were not but they would be on the lookout and make sure they reach out...just as I was about to hang up, Bailey and Megan had worked something out and I was thankfully able to get in two days later. To say it was a blessing was a understatement. Every single employee I met at this office was impressive, and I mean every single one. Because of the Dr's busy schedule, I had no problem waiting as long as I need to. But was so pleasantly surprised that basically Dr Heiland was right on time. That's all I can say is this, I have NEVER been more impressed with a medical professional than I was with Dr. Heiland. Unfortunately, I have had my share of ENT issues and had sinus surgery back in Minnesota. I dealt with too many ENT Dr.'s to count both in Minnesota and here in Arizona, and there is NO ENT Dr.like Dr. Heiland! He has a magnificent bedside manner, immediately put me at ease. He took the time to ask questions about my symptoms, did not rush me through, explained things in depth to me. Asked if I had any questions and as professional as he was, he had a fabulous sense of humor that made my anxiety completely diminish. What I have found in the past, the ENT Drs, want this this test and that, he asked the right questions so that all those unnecessary tests did not have to be done. I have the utmost confidence and trust that if he needed to do a MRI or additional scans he certainly would have. The difference between Dr. Heiland and the others, is he is very in-tuned to his patients, knows the right questions to ask, silly as it seems some Dr.'s would rather take a 5 minute look at a patient's chart, give them an rx for meds, have tests done so they don't have to take the quality time with their patients as this incredible medical professional did. I worked in Medical Sales, between my ENT experience with MD's and my experience working in the medical sales field, I will and can say he is truly the best of the best. No pompous attitude, very approachable, very kind and even discussed supplements to help with my issues. Between, his absolutely amazing staff and the experience I had with Dr. Heiland, Trust me when I say there is no one else I would rather go to nor will I ever leave this practice! Do yourself a favor, IF you care about your health as much as I do, and want to be treated with respect and kindness, there is NO OTHER practice like this one! I scheduled this visit specifically for neck-related dizziness and made that clear when booking…read more During the appointment, a full ENT exam was performed (throat, nose, eyes, tonsils, glands), but my neck was not evaluated or examined at all. I asked whether a hearing test was necessary and was told yes, so I went along with it, even though it was not my concern. When I asked what the diagnosis was, I was told it could not be determined without a lengthy balance test, followed by physical therapy. No specific diagnosis or clear explanation was provided during the visit. I left without my primary concern being addressed and was given a list of vitamins that might help. This experience did not align with the reason I scheduled the appointment, especially since neck-related vertigo is listed as a condition treated.

Cheryl MacKechnie really put me in a bad way. I only had two small nodules on my thyroid, non…read morecancerous. She removed my whole thyroid and also, without my knowledge removed all of my parathyroids. I was released from the hospital with no meds, no instructions. and no knowledge that she had removed my parathyroid. She was pregnant and ready to deliver, I think it was her last ditch effort to make a final buck before she went on maternity leave. I went home and procceeded to have a huge problem, I had to call 911 as I was not aware of needing any meds. I was never told that I would need ( for the rest of my life) to take medications, and not being aware that she removed my parathyroids, I had no idea that I could have gone into heart failure. I had several very bazar spells or episodes over the next several days and called 911 several times until I finally went to an endocrinologist whom them found that I was not on meds to substitute for the lack of my thyroid and did an ultrasound and found I had no parathyroid. Over the next several years, I have had many episodes that I thought I was dying. Not until this year did I find a doctor that resolved my situation. But I lost 10 years of life struggling with an unknown issue. Until this last year. I finally have my life back. I have to take several meds at four different times of the day just to stay alive. So, please stay as far away from this woman as possible. She almost killed me. Oh I forgot to mention, after the surgery for some reason, I can not longer sing. She obviously damaged my vocal chords. This is devistating for me as I am a musician.
