I was very fortunate to have discovered Abbott Hearing while living in Phoenix AZ…read more I have been to many audiologists over the years and none of them were as conscience about finding me the best possible device for my hearing needs. I gave her all my information and she instructed me on the refreshments and restroom key. I was a little nervous, but was eased by the humor in Nicki. Amanda then came and called me to the hearing booth. She informed me on what was going to happen with the hearing test. Amanda is a very compassionate and educated woman who truly cares about her patients. After the test was over we went to her office where she explained the results and her recommendations. She patiently listened to me and we came to a conclusion. There is no other audiology office that takes care of their patients as Affiliated Audiology Consultants! I recommend this office 110% to my family and friends! Thank you Dr. Georgine Ray for the excellence of your audiologist and staff members. I look forward to my next appointment with Amanda! I am mystified at the reviews for Platinum Hearing…read more I bought the Oticon hearing aids and the Audiologists could not calibrate them. There was no volume, they squealed and screeched in my ears. The people around me could hear the noise. The Audiologists told me to try the Phonak, and again the Audiologists could not adjust them and again they screeched and squealed in my ear. I bought several microphones as they told me they would help, still no calibration. Again, at their suggestion, I bought a Widex Allure. After weeks their Audiologists could not adjust them to my hearing needs. They led me on to believe if we kept trying, which took me out of the 30 day window. I finally decided I was being a fool. I kept doing the same thing over and over expecting a different answer. After thousand of dollars and way to much time I returned the Allures, in which, Platinum Hearing took a $500.00 return fee. They were the ones that couldn't calibrate them, as they never stopped screaming into my hears. I now have a pair called Signia. American Medical has them where I can actually hear better than I have in years and they don't make any screeching sounds. By the way, their Audiologist and owner only works 1.5 days a week and the second one 3 days a week. They were just not qualified to take care of my hearing needs.

This business has had no value since one of their people left the business. Note the older positive…read morereviews were from better days. The first time I was shocked by the lack of care was when I needed my hearing aids to simply be turned up. They were working fine. But they told me my hearing aids were older than 5 years and that I needed to purchase new ones. After leaving this practice, and experiencing that this was in fact a choice they are making in the industry I lost all respect for ABHA. Hearing care is absolutely exploited and this business runs on that opportunity. No quality care or professionalism is to be found here. I did end up purchasing new aids here, trusting them that it was in fact time to make a new investment in my 5 yr old aids. After just a few appointments and them being 100% responsible for not being able to adjust my hearing aids -that they recommended for my hearing loss- they told me I was no longer an able to be a patient there. I was forced to completely start over, except -- I had purchased my hearings aids with them and the service care plan included. When starting over I ran into issues of having to purchase a separate care plan to receive appropriate services. Thankfully I was able to navigate this and found another provider who truly did show me that that every single thing about the way ABHA does business is wrong. They have now changed their name, but not their stripes.
