We were walking by when I noticed the "Open" light was on and I casually said to my husband "You know it's been several months since I've gotten flowers from you." Point taken. Although the shop is small, it is packed with beautiful living and silk flowers. Linda was busy with a delivery when we first walked in, but she greeted with a friendly smile and let us know she'd be right with us. In the ten minutes we were in there, there was a constant flow of regular customers and I could see why! Linda is so sweet and welcoming and clearly has a gift with flowers! I told her that I wanted some Asian lilies and with a few deft tweaks here and a little flair there, she created a beautiful bouquet bursting with color and fragrance! What I got in result were florals and arrangements even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! The pieces used for our ceremony were stunning, and I loved that we were able to have them moved during the reception to enjoy them even more! My bouquet (I believe it was made by Amanda) and my MOH bouquets were gorgeous. I wish I could have frozen them in time and kept them forever. Then I was notified that the flowers had been delivered on the 26th. They had not. They never arrived. They were never delivered. I complained and insisted on knowing the name of the local florist. They finally did give it to me, after I asked four or five times, and I looked them up and read all the terrible reviews that you see here. So on the 27th I called and said I wanted my money back, and 1-800-FLOWERS said they would give me a refund. I told them about these terrible reviews and my experience and recommended that they discontinue using this florist. I also complained about 1-800-FLOWERS being unwilling to give out the name of florists. That seems sneaky, and gives a hiding place to these terrible florists. UPDATE: The flowers were delivered on the evening of the 27th and were acceptable. I contacted the florist and told them that I would update this review and change the rating, and I did. So the problems were late delivery and ineffective communication. The flowers were acceptable. I changed the rating. I would give 3 and a half stars.
