My niece, a college student living on fumes, sent me sympathy bouquet from this shop. It arrived a day late and it was obvious that it had been sitting around for a bit. The water was cloudy and the flowers lasted less than one day before they started dropping petals. The daisies were brown in the middle and received, and look like they might have been kept too cold. They are not opening, they're just rotting in place. Again, this is after 24 hours. I changed the water and trimmed the stems of the saddest items upon receipt but it looks worse today. But I have in my possession looks like a week old uncared for arrangement. Stay away from this business. My friends ordered us a Hanukkah floral arrangement for the holidays. We was very specific about the colors and flowers it would contain as well as the fact that we celebrated Hanukkah, not Christmas. Instead they delivered a Christmas arrangement with a big sign in the middle that said "Merry Christmas". She called them to complain and 3 days later, we received a half dead vase with some brown lily's and squished, wilted hydrangeas. This business belongs in the florist hall of shame. read more

This florist was used thru telaflora.com for a Mother's Day arrangement. I got an email on a Friday saying it'd been delivered. I ask my Mom, she said nothing was delivered. I call telaflora, they contact florist, and said the florist said "it got too late and they'll deliver it tomorrow." (Saturday). So that was the first red flag. Seriously shady sending out "delivery confirmation" emails when they never delivered the flowers. I'm assuming they did that in order to not get dinged with telaflora for not delivering flowers when they said they would. I live in CA, so I woke up to texts from my Mom of the flowers that were delivered. It was the wrong arrangement. Much smaller than what I paid for. They must have delivered the wrong Melissa's flowers. Because the address and last name were someone else's. The address on the card wasn't even close, like another house in my parents neighborhood..it's 20 minutes away! The flower arrangement looked awful. It looked like it had sat outside in a downpour all night. Seriously beat up in general. Several dead flowers. Really poor quality in general. Water looked gross and milky like it was sitting for a few days. Flowers looked like they were old and definitely not fresh. Really pathetic. My Mom had already tried to contact this place and she didn't get an answer. She left a message with their call back service. They were open today, but they've so far never called my Mom back. The person I was sending them to, can not have them tomorrow so my gift never got to her. It makes me so sad as I really wanted to make her day. My husband was out of town for my birthday. He ordered flowers from them with the intent to have them delivered to the Umstead Spa knowing I was going to be there all morning. He was assured the delivery would be between 9-10 am. Well the Umstead called me to say they were delivered....at nearly 4 pm...2 hours after I left!! I had to go back the following morning to pick them up since I could not make the 1 hour round trip drive back in the middle of evening traffic knowing I had dinner plans. I arrived the following morning at 8:30 to pick them up. Much to my dismay, the vase was bone dry and the flowers looking weary. We immediately put water in the vase and they perked up some. But I will be shocked if they last another day. My husband called immediately when he found out I did not receive them when I should have. He asked to at least have a refund of the delivery fee since they failed miserably to deliver the flowers when promised. Despite speaking with a manager, who was less than apologetic, there was no offer for any sort of resolution. Poor customer service, poor product for what he paid. Overall very disappointing. My father recently passed so my niece had me some flowers in Milford I was delivered and the delivery driver set them on the ground and did not knock on my door and because my door opens out it caused the flowers about over as well as some of my leaves fell off. I contacted the owner to let him know what happened and the only thing he could say to me was. Yeah, yeah, and I'm going to talk to my driver. And did not try to offer any replacement. Will never use again. My husband sent flowers to me for Valentine's Day. Wasn't anything like he ordered. Looked like leftover flowers were just shoved in a vase. Flowers arrived, put vase on counter and half a dozen flower blooms just fell on the counter, gapping hole in arrangement. Husband complained. Florist was supposed to resend. Never received. Be warned...do not order flowers from this place!! I live out of state and called 2 days prior to delivery date to ensure details of my order. Apparently there are 2 websites for this flower shop and the one I tried booking my order didn't take my card....hmmm. That should have been clue#1 that something's wrong...called the shop and informed them that for some odd reason their website wasn't taking my card. He asked me what website was I looking at, I told him and that's when I find out I was on the wrong one....you would think they would inform you of that on the website....right?!?!....wrong! As a first time client, he said he would throw in a few extra flowers, I was really looking forward to seeing how this beautiful creation would look like! He said he would call me back to get my payment info...waited all day Wednesday- no call. Called the flower shop the next day and talked to him and he said he was working on the arrangement and would contact me later for the payment. Waited all day Thursday...no call. This was definitely not a good sign...called the shop on Friday morning (the day I needed the flowers delivered before noon) and a girl answered the phone, I told her I was calling to ensure that the flower arrangement I had ordered was to be delivered and she said she will call her delivery guys and call me back in 10 minutes to confirm that the flowers were on the delivery van. Guess what??? 45 minutes later did not receive a call back (At this point I shouldn't be surprised..) She said she hasn't gotten a hold of her driver yet to find out if my order was on the van....she told me she will call me as soon as she gets a hold of him. Well, once again that never happened! HORRIBLE customer service throughout the whole process! At least have the courtesy to call someone back and let them know! Paid extra for them to be delivered on Valentine's Day, they were instead delivered the day before and left on the porch. They also left the receipt with full description attached. I recently purchased flowers from FTD.com associated with the funeral home providing services to the family of my best friend. I chose a dish garden arrangement called "Loving Light" with yellow flowers and a yellow bow as yellow was my best friend's favorite color. Floralilly fulfilled my order. When I arrived at the visitation, I was disappointed to see a dish garden with a small red flower and an almost red bow. It was the ugliest arrangement of the many arrangements at the funeral home provided by many local florists. I was embarrassed. I think that because I used the online service, Floralilly believed that I was out of town and would never see the arrangement. I ordered an arrangement for my granddaughter who is attending Duke, & was very specific in describing what I wanted. I asked to have a photo of the arrangement emailed to me prior to delivery so I could see what I had ordered. The photo never came, & when my granddaughter sent me a photo after delivery I could see why. The arrangement delivered in no way resembled what I had ordered with regard to the blooms included or the fullness of the arrangement & it certainly didn't look like the $96 arrangement I had ordered. It even included flowers which I had specifically said I did not want. The only positive thing I can say is that delivery took place on time. There will be many more opportunities to send my granddaughter flowers while she attends Duke, & I will NOT be calling Floralily for those orders. Zero stars! read more

Here we go again. ZERO for TWO. Just received a delivery of two dozen roses from Florialilly and they are probably the 2nd worst looking roses I've ever received (Guess who the others were from? And yeah, those were even worse.) The lighter roses are discolored (see pics-diseased/dying?) and a few have holes in the petals, one is drooping and one is stem is broken. But the most bothersome part is the fact that they aren't even arranged in a deliberate way. They are all different heights just shoved in haphazardly (and to one side, why?) there's no rhyme, nor reason. (Tip: If your only goal is to just cash in on the day sending out inferior flowers, at least make it appear you put forth some effort to make the arrangement presentable- at least at first glance.) Sadly, this is not the first time I've had this experience with Floralilly. My husband travels so he goes online to order from what he thinks are local shops and apparently has had the misfortune to get his order fulfilled by Floralilly-TWICE now! The most frustrating part of all is that there appears to be no recourse as their "local" phone just goes to an out of the area ordering line. So I have two choices, I can spend my time now trimming and properly arranging these so they look somewhat presentable when my husband gets home (so he doesn't feel like a chump for the 2nd time!) or I can tell him exactly what I received and dispute it on his credit card. Given this is the 2nd time this has happened, I'll likely do the latter. read more

Called today and was denied a refund. Claimed he couldn't find the patient. Really? Credit card company will settle this one. I'm normally not one to tell people to stay away from a business because its people's livelihood. However, when you order flowers for someone in the hospital, even just getting a refund for non-deliver isn't good enough to make up for the lack of service and professionalism. If I could give them zero stars I would. Ordered a beautiful arrangement of peach roses, eucalyptus leaves, tiny little filler flowers, etc in a round glass bowl and paid way more than expected. It was for someone who had just lost a dear family member. What was delivered was a basic glass vase with wilted spider mums, cheap fern leaves and some dark orange roses with bug eaten petals. Called to complain about the $10 grocery store flowers that cost $80 and after an insincere apology and a long silence, they promised to remake the arrangement and deliver the next day. Even sent a confirmation email of a secondary arrangement. Next day, no delivery. Called again and was offered a 10% discount on a future order. SERIOUSLY?!?!? Why would anyone use a service that still hasn't delivered what was ordered and isn't offering a refund?!? Demanded a refund and was again offered a future discount. Asked for a manager and was told that wasn't possible. Was offered a discount again. Demanded full refund and was finally told it would take 7-10 business days for the refund. Asked for a confirmation of refund and was told they would send it, which they haven't. Next step- refute charges on credit card for non-delivery of product ordered. My husband was concerned when I did not receive flowers at my office on Valentine's Day. Today, Feb. 15, 2018 around 1:15 p.m., I received a delivery of red roses with one completely broken and leaning to the side - holding on for dear life. I waited a few seconds to see if she would offer an apology for a late delivery. She did not. So, I said, "These are a little late aren't they?" To which she replied, "Yeah we were a little backed up." She then proceeded to request my signature. When I opened the card, the first side read "We have built an excellent reputation on beautiful flowers and prompt service." The irony almost blinded me.
