So not sure why this place doesn't do well in the reviews but we went last week and we really enjoyed our time there and in fact the husband was ready to go again this week but I reminded him that there were lots of food adventures out there waiting for us so we needed to go do some further exploring. At any rate, I thought the food was better than ok. The food leans more heavily on the Asian side but that's ok my tummy doesn't discriminate. For those of you that are Mongolian bbq fans, this is the place for you! It's great that you don't have to worry about piling your plate as high as you can get it. This is my favorite Chinese buffet by far! The selections are varied and the food is hot! Most buffets have luke warm or cold food. The star offering is the Mongolian barbecue but they also have a small carving station that is stocked with prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays. They have an extensive selection of other Chinese entrées and sides, a large salad bar and desserts including various ice creams, banana pudding, a chocolate fountain, cookies, pies and cakes. I love Paradise Buffet! The First thing I get when I go is Mongolian BBQ. I get two bowls one for my noodles and vegetables and one for my meats if you get the shrimp make sure you get a lot because they do shrink. I like that they don't charge extra for Mongolian BBQ. I like everything at the buffet it's hot and fresh not cold and old like other buffets. All the staff at the buffet are very friendly. I don't know why there's bad reviews on this place I never seen any roaches or gotten sick. I recommend everyone who has never been to this buffet that are looking at the reviews to actually try it. I've been here a couple of times. We came on a Friday afternoon and were able to seat ourselves, but on busy days they have someone who seats you. There is someone who is constantly walking around picking up your dirty plates. Do not come with high expectations because the food isn't amazing. It's simply okay. They have a salad bar, soup bar, dessert table, and a section in the middle where they cook your noodles/meat for you. The variety of foods is not the greatest, but okay for a buffet. They have Chinese food, a bit of Mexican, some Italian, like spaghetti and mashed potatoes/wings/mac n cheese/corn on the cob type food. The best way to describe the food is that it looks better than it tastes, but that doesn't mean that the food is terrible. The flavor could be more enhanced. Good buffet with many options. Been here about five times already. The Mongolian BBQ is awesome. For meats they have beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and many different vegetables for the sides including pineapple which gives a nice flavor to the food. I always put garlic, chili oil, sesame oil and soy sauce on mine and it comes out delicious! For the regular buffet they have a large variety of different foods such as fresh chicken tenders, crawfish, beef stew, French Fries, baked potato with bacon on top, shrimp salad, prime rib and more. For dessert the options are endless, carrot cake, German chocolate cake, cookie pie, a variety of cookies, pies, pudding and ice cream. There's also a chocolate fountain with fresh pineapple and marshmallows. They don't allow taking pictures or video of the food there but you can take a picture of your plate once you are at your seat. Overall the food is delicious considering it's a buffet. I like to come here with my better half or some friends and enjoy their meatloaf which isn't dry, pot stickers with that lovely dipping sauce, deep fried fish and chips, shrimp and cucumber salad with chips, juicy prime rib, and other things. There's the expected Chinese food buffet affair along with "American" dishes and a large salad bar. The Mongolian BBQ here is very popular, but I have yet to try it. It looks pretty good and fresh. The dessert bar is huge and offers things like cakes, cupcakes, ice cream, pies, and other things, but I haven't found anything I particularly like. Unfortunately, the Paradise Buffet has closed temporarily. According to the notice on the door, the original owners have sold the restaurant and it is scheduled to reopen on August 8th. We really enjoyed this place. Lots of different food options and a great Mongolian BBQ section in the center of the buffet. We were in line and and it moved pretty fast. You cannot be dinning in for longer than 3 hours. They ask you to leave the receipt at the end of the table to keep track of your time.
