Automatic 18% tip for party of 5
    Chris L.

Staff was definitely gruff but the chicken and goat biryani platters were fantastic at lunch on a quiet Thursday, $13 for chix and $15 for goat includes fresh hot naan, a generous bowl of rice & meat, a second generous bowl of chicken in creamy masala gravy plus a golub jamun (fried donut hole) for dessert. A feast! Spicy? I disagree, our servers didn't ask for our desired heat level, the biryanis arrived mild-medium, the meats had been dry-rubbed with something fairly warm, but the masala gravy had no power, just yuummy. Service? The two bros running the place wasted no words on chit-chat, just took our orders and brought the food efficiently, we waited about 20 minutes. So I have to agree with other yelpers that service is not exactly friendly here. Veggies? 4 star vegetarian rating for the veggie biryani and so, so many other options, if you like desi food you'll be happy here. Tip? Mandatory 18% gratuity on our table of 5, that seemed reasonable cos we usually give 20 :) Buffet? Not here, nope. Parking? This restaurant is one of the last occupied spots in a dying strip mall, let's just say parking is NEVER a problem.

Food is great no doubt, super spicy so if you want medium be prepared for it. only thing that sucks super bad and I see why the reviews aren't great is the service. sometimes if I want to get another canned drink I just walk up to the fridge myself but they could definitely improve upon that and should also invest in some proper placemats, they've had those president placemats for about 3 years now LOL.

We noticed this one on our way back from our R-day trip to West Point. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, ordered 2 dishes and naan. Everything turned out great. This was the best choice; the food was served sizzling hot, and the naan was just out of the oven. This picture is from our second visit. We tried the same 2 dishes and lamb chops. All tasted great. This will be a frequent stop on our future trips up and down this road to West Point Military Academy. The ambiance is great; the background music sounded a tad bit loud.

My family and I recently held an event here after previously visiting for the buffet. Because of…read morethat, I have a lot to say both good and bad. Starting with the event food: it felt noticeably cheaper and lower quality, which was very disappointing. Prior to the event, we had all genuinely enjoyed the buffet food, so expectations were high. Unfortunately, the naan tasted frozen, like something from a bulk pack at Costco. It was thin, poorly made, and as someone who truly loves naan, I couldn't even finish a single piece. The meat and chicken dishes also did not taste nearly as good as they do during the buffet. The flavors were okay, but as someone familiar with South Asian cuisine, it was very underwhelming. Since this is the only Indian restaurant option in the area, that made the disappointment even greater. The staff overall was very kind and polite. The staff is truly amazing, very aware and ready to help which is wonderful!! They did an amazing job, 5/5 for the staff, no complaints there. However, my experience with the manager was not positive. He provided inconsistent and constantly changing information regarding the minimum number of people required to reserve the private room. For me, he told my partner and I that 45 people were required minimum. But later told my sister that it was 40 then 35 or 30 and it just kept changing. One change is not okay, maybe a mistake. But this? Not a mistake, definitely intentional. And if you don't know the correct answer, the right thing to do is find out before relaying any information. I found the inconsistency among the required number of guests and information extremely unprofessional, and it came across as money-driven, which was a major turn-off--especially when paired with the noticeably lower-quality food being served for a special event - aka a Wedding. Now, outside of the event, the buffet itself was excellent. The naan was fluffy and warm, and the chicken and meat dishes were flavorful and well prepared. Based on the buffet alone, I would have given this restaurant a 5 out of 5. The buffet is one I would recommend. However, due to how the event was handled, the inconsistencies, and the poor quality of food provided for what was supposed to be a wedding event, I have to rate this experience a 3 out of 5. Providing customers with inaccurate and inconsistent information, especially from a manager, is not professional and is simply not okay. ESPECIALLY because it was a private party as well in which they are making more money and taking images to promote the area.

This is a tight, intimate location with seating for maybe 20 people tops, and that seems generous, but they do pretty fast takeout so I'll usually get it to go. Usually I've got my food within 20 minutes of ordering, but if it's busy you're better calling it in. The food is delicious, and whoa is it spicy, so do not be shy about asking them for the American spicy not Indian spicy or you're going to suffer, but it isn't spicy without flavor to back it up. By that I mean while you'll be crying actual tears from the spice, you'll also taste an incredible palette of flavors and non-atomic spices that are masterfully blended into all the usual classic dishes, and some unique ideas as well. Good mango lassi on the menu, and it is CLEARLY there to mitigate some of this spice, so be sure you get yourself one. The Saag Paneer is a perfect 10 in my book. The tandoori is to die for, the naan is great, it's all great, give this place a chance!

While eating the fish curry, I bit into a thin metal string, which scratched the inside of my mouth. I could have swallowed it. I've reported this to Uber Eats and made three separate attempts to contact this restaurant (through their website and Yelp) with no reply. The lack of response is deeply concerning. Other customers need to be aware of this safety/health hazard. I hope management takes this seriously.

We all just ordered and paid at the counter, so we didn't have to worry about splitting the checks. Since I'm vegan, it was a little more difficult to accommodate because the tacos I would have liked that were less spicy had cheese on them. These were a little spicy for me, but I could really taste the deep flavor. They were just too spicy for me to finish, so I gave them to my friends.
