Went here for my bachelorette party. Enjoyed it for the first 20 minutes before they targeted my friend for looking "too drunk" and kicked us out. I clearly had a party veil on my head and there was no sympathy. Just kicked us out even though my friend could clearly stand and walk by herself. Heartless and stupid. Would never come back here. Over all this club has 3 rooms , with full bars! There is an outside tiki bar poolside. The Attached Hotel, is a beautiful beach front Art Deco style , rooms are spacious and well equipped, air conditioning, heat, large bathrooms,spotless rooms, plenty of closet space and drawers. A fun spot. We watched the most recent Rupaul's Drag Race finale here, and it's a great location for it. The place was empty when the show started, but within about 10 minutes it filled up pretty nicely. The crowd was really into it, which is always fun, and the best part - they play the volume loud enough you can hear all the commentary and music. The club has multiple rooms for different environments. There is one big dance hall, another room lodging, and a pool outside. It gets pretty crowded during Pride weekend and offers drag shows and breakfast parties. Honestly, it is decent, I didn't find any wow factor. read more

Absolutely horrific first-time experience! Just had a screaming match with a supposed 'manager' just for trying to use an ATM! Even after I already agreed to leave, he slammed his fist on the table he was seated at and then tried to fight me at the entrance! I was even called slurs! Worst experience ever! I have never in all my life been treated like this ever at any queer establishment I've ever been too! Came to Paradise on Saturday night in June. It wasn't too crowded. The good: the dance floor is big, the lighting is great, the sound system is awesome. The bad: the DJ didn't have a great flow, the music was "ok" the drinks come in the plastic cups you get at the dentist to rinse after fluoride treatment. I think there's good history here and its part of Asbury Park culture but...eh...I just might be too old. Copper Bar, which it is connected to, shared much of the same characteristics but it was free to get in before 10, and the music was slightly better. read more

I've been here a handful of times and every time I leave happy! I have so much fun here. The drinks are great (not too expensive) and the atmosphere is great if you just want to get up and dance, even great during a summer day if you want to grab a few drinks and sit by a pool. I went recently and my bartender Max was fabulous! He was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. It is disappointing and the outrageously expensive cover fee when you head over at night but when you get inside it could be definitely worth it. I gave this place a 4/5 because I always have so much fun at this place but I hate that the cover fee is so expensive even during the off seasons of the beach but other that the the atmosphere is great and the bartenders are even better! read more

The vibe is fun, the music and ambiance awesome, inclusive and diverse but; yes there's a but; it's dangerous to deny customers water when they've been having drinks, already paid the coverage fee and had a few cocktails. Be aware, mindful that it is a liability denying water to customers. The Saga continues, if you paid with a Credit Card check your statement right away! So we paid with CC leaving the tip CASH, well guess what: THE TOOK THE CASH AND THE CHARGED THE CARD! It's not fair and unethical, I hope management is able to do something about it! I have been going here for years. Kelly is amazing but the guy pictured stinks. He cannot handle a crowd and treats customers that way. I get its pride and it's busy but if you can not handle it find a new profession. The way he treated me was a disgrace. Don't think you're better than anyone cause you're not. A couple of my friends and I went to Paradise Night Club on Saturday Saturday June 12th. 2021. I was turned away once again because they said I was intoxicated. I have a small disability and lost my two front teeth and are undergoing implants, my speech isn't the best. I was turned away for entering the club because of it. This is ridiculous, the bouncer was so rude. After 1 year and a half of being quarantined I wanted a night out to relax. I will never ever frequent this club again. I have spent many weekends there and had the time of my life. I do not recommend this club for the bouncers are very nasty. I have spent hundreds of dollars there in the last 20 years. Were supposed to get our economy back to normal, well this guy made a big mistake. I would not recommend this club.... This bar has a pool which has a disco ball suspended above it!! My review should end there as that is enough of a reason to come. Ok so you need another? How about strong inexpensive drinks, a great no fuss vibe from a fun crowd, and plenty of awesome people watching? it's a place that stays rock'n all night and always has a drink special to enjoy! If the pool area is closed they have 2 indoor bars, one has a large dance floor and plenty of seating. The other has a smaller dance floor and is the restaurant. We haven't tried the food here yet, however I am sure that's 1 trip away. This is a destination spot, you go here you stay here. No need to bar hop all over Asbury before or after. Cash works best as the bar gets crowded and the bartenders always are a bit overwhelmed. That said we have never had a bad time here. The hotel which is attached is what I expected from a shore hotel. Pricey in the summer, pricier on the weekends, but clean enough and in the right location. we've been here for country line dancing in the large club area, another time when there was a wild memorial day weekend pool party and few other times in between, and every time is a good time! can't wait to go back this summer! read more

I was pleasantly surprised to see a bar that was slightly more upscale than gay places I've seen across the country. What a cute set up! My girlfriends and I came here for her bachelorette party and to see the Friday night drag show. That aspect was fine, if a bit loud and clubby. The problem was that the place has a policy not to give you tap water, even upon request. They said they "weren't allowed to do that." I assume this is so they can sell $4 water bottles instead. In a club where people are liberally encouraged to drink alcohol, it should be mandatory to provide water where requested. I refused to buy any drinks on principle, but all of the ladies said the alcoholic beverages were poorly mixed and tasted awful as well. read more

but seriously... what more do you want from this place!! not sure why the low ratings, it's a gay bar/club/hotel/performance stage/pool all in one location. The staff is pretty friendly (especially at the inside bar) but that said, I have noticed a few to have certain preferences and the bar tenders at the outside bars to have quite the attitudes. I usually prefer a good tequila cocktail, and am not a vodka soda type guy, which apparently does not sit well with them, especially when the bar is full of other people; and I get it.. but as a client, come on.. no one is going to leave because they had to wait another minuet for their drink... and if they do, then you probably don't want that short tempered person to stick around. I can't think of a better bar, pool party to be at when at Asbury where the crowd is very mixed and fun. The hotel itself could use a lot of updating, but campy is definitely a look that they are comfortable with. With two indoor main dance floors and stages and over 4 bars... it's so easy to find a space to feel comfortable at. Every night offers it's own entertainment, from drag shows, to dancing, to pool tables and lounging relax. I am a huge fan of Paradise. And knowing the have basically a monopoly on the gay clientele in this area, their prices are still very much fair. My only two things I'd say is... well, some staff people could be a bit nicer when under pressure and updating the hotel (which has nothing to do with Paradise in itself). This is one of few places in town to hang out after the beach. Here are some comment. Pros: 1. The drinks are pretty good. The staff actually seems to care when mixing them. The lady in the back is THE BEST, go to her. She is sweet and skilled and should be giving lessons all around. 2. There is really great mixed crowd. It's refreshing. 3. They have some neat activities and special nights that keep things going. Cons: 1. Smoking. It's not 1983. If you walk out to the pool area at any given time you will be walking into a cloud of disgusting tobacco smoke. I don't know who enjoys this other than the smokers, so it makes the outside meh. 2. The place is a little dated. The dance floor area is really old fashioned and could use an update. There is a really ugly/gross water feature outside that gives me the skeevys. 3. The music on Saturday was ok,... well except for having Whitney blaring every other song. She's great, but this isn't her club. 4. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the pool area bars are not manned all the time in the summer. It seems like the natural place to hang out. 5. The layout/look of the pool area is not appealing at all. The palm trees and murals are pretty tacky. Not sure why this couldn't have a legit "Jersey" theme. It's not Florida. There should be more seating. I feel like there is some lost real-estate here. 6. They don't serve pool side drinks. 7. The hallway with the bathroom is just logistical nightmare. You can't tell who is coming or going and if they're waiting in line. I don't know how this could be remedied given the space. Loitering there should be prohibited, however. read more

Shep really needs to get back on the horn and do some active management as his once famed establishment has completely gone awry. Was here for the tea dance as well as patronizing the hotel. Hotel is fine and staff relative to hotel services are great (in particular, Doug, at the front desk). As far as paradise club, the pool, the pool bartenders (one in particular, whose name I will not mention)? Lacking manners and class, completely rude and out of line, disparaging to women and totally TRASHY. Provincial in their thoughts, words and actions. A terrible disappointment. Were it not for my friends who dragged me here, I would (and WILL) never return. Terrible waste of my money. UPDATE: I expressed my upset with Chris, the hotel manager and she graciously listened and empathized with me. Fantastic place with a beautiful pool area (seasonal) and two large bar rooms. The staff are terrific and the DJs are great. It's a nice crowd on Fri or Sat. During the week they have fun events like drag shows or bingo. In the summer, the pool is open and it's a very fun time to drink and relax out there. read more

For out of state ppl! They know real from fake IDs! I'm from SC, bond street and Porta gave me a hard time, since SC IDs CAN SNAP and don't always pass the bend! But this place knows real IDs and didn't give me a hard time! Came to paradise for Santa Saturday. some of the bar tenders are wonderful, others not so much. The pricing for drinks ranges dramatically from the different bars at this club. Be careful which bartenders you go to. They can be rude. They also had this square dancing part of the night and the organizer of this event was completely rude to anyone who was not dancing in this event. This place could be cool, but 1) when we went the speakers were either broken or the person controlling them didn't know what they were doing. This resulted in the music being unintelligible and static-y. 2) they were trying to charge a cover to get into the room where line dancing takes place. Mind you, They must not have been charging AARP members or something because we would've been the youngest people in the room by a few decades and the place was certainly NOT happening on that level. I'm from NYC and don't mind paying covers, but please don't try to charge people to grab a few drinks while the daughters of the American revolution strut and twirl in the corner. 3) a man stole 2 jackets off our table and took them outside. A friend of mine politely retrieved them from him. I pointed the man out to security and explained what he did, but I guess cause he was a local he got a pass on theft. Went in off season (December) for a Saturday night- modest birthday celebration with family. I must send compliments to Deb, from Security, and Garrett in hotel lobby. They were both so warm, friendly, and welcoming- Deb made sure we found our group, took time to personally walk with me to tour the bars, and checked to make sure we were comfortable. Couldn't have been nicer if we were in her own home! As for the music, typical loud club music , more techno type, not a lot of dancing that night due to that, but a fun night was had by all. As far as people complainig sbout excessive security, I'd say, they have a job to do. We didn't have intentions of partying up, but just enjoy a drink and check-out a New Jersey gay club. We liked the crowd was mixed and diverse. The staff seemed friendly and drinks reasonable.
