Cover charges to get in were low, the music was good, and the drinks were well made. I came in at 9pm and they stayed open all night with music going. A lot of fun, and great people working there. If you are traveling to the Jersey shore, I would highly recommend stopping by this music venue. Although it is a smaller club, the entertainment is worth it, with a lot of talented, local musicians.

Came here for a live performance. Place reminds me of a college bar, dim lighting, sticky floors, and music posters of the acts that has come and gone. The positives here are the live music and some cool decorations that bring back nostalgia. The negatives, are the smallness of the space, the bar itself is dated and doesn't make you feel good drinking there. The drinks are dilute and pricey. There isn't a menu so you need to have an idea of what to drink and will be surprised on how much you will owe. Just come here for the acts and enjoy your company. The stage is at the other end of the bar. When there is no performance, there is a curtain separating the stage. FYI - There is a cover charge to enter to see the performances. The charge is cheaper if ordering online, but they tack on a processing fee on top of it, so making it not worth it if cost is an issue. I guess you order online if you know it is possible you won't be able to get in to see the act.

Fantastic place to book and see live music. Professional, friendly, fair and honest staff who really emit a vibe of enjoying the music and their own venue, which is fantastic and infectious. Small club feel with a green room that has some miles on it (read as character.) Nice selection of beer and excellent sound. Wonderful venue in Asbury Park for live music as you never know who might stop by....

This is a good small venue to see live bands. They occasionally book national acts. I didn't care for their drinks.

The Saint has some great bands like the Stagger band. They sound pretty good. And the drinks are cheap.

The building is in the National Historic Registry. (Cool Ambiance) This Ale House is humongous with at least two to three bars. The interior was really colorful with upbeat wall to wall murals. In addition, you'll see some cool stuff like an old-fashioned telephone booth and signage. For fun, there's a small arcade area with timed basketball and air hockey in one area of the ale house. (Service & Food) Natasha was our wonderful and caring server. A bottle of cold water and glasses w/ice were brought to the table. We ordered soft drinks to start out. For lunch, we ordered a Grilled Chicken Avocado BLT and a Caprese Sandwich. Both sandwiches had wonderful fresh ingredients. Each platter came with a small air fryer container of spicy chips. The bacon on my sandwich was nice and crispy. Just the way I like it. : D The manager Nicole came to check in on our table along with others. We told her everything was great. Definitely recommend Asbury Ale House. In regards to parking, we parked on the street and used the mobile app. It was a weekday and street parking was tricky. Can't even imagine parking on the weekends.

The food didn't take too long to come out and the portions were good but the taste was just okay. We did experience a couple missing items (side of avocado and chimichurri) and brought this to the server's attention. For the chimichurri, we were told that it didn't come with the steak because they didn't have it anymore so they didn't include it in our meal. We should have been told this before the food came out or even right after it was set on the table. We were offered a replacement sauce (pico de gallo) just to find out that it cost extra and had to explain that it should be free as a replacement to the chimichurri. The manager was able to comp the pico and apologized. At the end of the meal, I was also surprised to not receive any acknowledgement that I was celebrating my birthday (which I marked on the reservation). Once I received the receipt, I noticed that we were also charged extra for the missing side of avocado and an extra sauce. This was not disclosed to us prior. I can see why this place would be popular due to the atmosphere but the food and service here would not have me coming back.

Nice coffee menu, interesting and unique signature drinks..one of which was a Shakerato..get this Espresso, condensed milk, saline, orange shaken and poured over ice. it was so delicate and well made, the subtle hint of orange and a gentle sweetness. There is a small menu, and some baked goods. A place like this in such a beautiful setting makes me want to leave closer, but thankful this is only a reasonable car ride away. [Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!
