My husband had no idea what his shoe size is. Nor did I know because he always bought his own stuff. This having to do EVERYTHING for my man is a new experience. So I was shocked & dismayed that there wasn't a shoe guy to help. WTF? No more customer service in that shop. When I asked about the shoes, the guy said, "we just got these. I don't know anything about them ". What?? They used to be able to give the stats about everything on the shelf. So, I bit the bullet & became the shoe salesman. Pisses me off. Paid almost $200 for a pair of shoes that I had to sell to my man. Not impressed. I would have gone elsewhere but I couldn't handle another episode like that. This is a nice store, but the help went south. Where is that older guy who was so knowledgeable & helpful? These guys were nice but totally stressed me out.

We also could not find any employees available on the sales floor to assist her. She went to the front to ask for help, and the employee responded rudely, saying they couldn't leave and would send someone to assist--but no one came. After waiting about 15 minutes, another employee walked by. When asked for help, they responded in a rude manner, saying they had too much to do, and only briefly pointed out where the item was instead of actually helping. Customer service like this is frustrating and unprofessional. If the item wasn't needed, we would have walked out. Definitely reconsidering shopping here again.

In CA to purchase ammo, you need to show ID, prove you have previously purchased a firearm, pay $1 fee, be subject to verification via computer and often, a lengthy wait for approval. He is really big on merchandising and logistics. Once you get him talking about fishing though, you'd better pack a lunch. Ha! So lucky to have people like this that work in the service industry. Darrell explained so much about the store. He explained where I could find various items, the history of some taxidermic animals mounted on the walls, and other locations of Sportsman's warehouse is located throughout the country. I thought, this is a good time to upgrade to lithium batteries (I had been thinking about this for a while actually) so I ordered 2 group 31 lithium batteries online and called Camping World to see it they could install them for me. Mike, the service rep and Brad, the technician were both super in keeping me updated on the progress of the work, and Mike double-checked how long I was in town, to make sure my van would be finished by the time I needed to leave. Brad was very knowledgeable about all things electrical and had a lot of experience in upgrading RVs to lithium systems. I got lucky in the timing of my visit (early February) as the service department was not too busy. When all was said and done, I was charged a very fair price for the job (I also had a generator service completed while my van was there.) Whenever I am again in St. George and need service on my van, I will definitely return to Camping World.
