Tuesday October 28th worst store experience ever. After trying twice to purchase a battery online…read moreso all I would have to do is walk in and walk out. After the second attempt it still did not work. About 2 hours later I went to the store and found a battery and bag of dog food and the cashier lady made an accusation about me stealing something. I was standing in the checkout line with my debit card in hand trying to explain it had 2 holds on my account for the same purchase but it still had not confirmed my purchase was being processed or even received yet. I have spent a considerable amount of money at Rural King over the last 20 years to be treated like a POS. After the 3rd phone call today I now have the pending charges removed but still no apology or anything. I will not be purchasing anything from any Rural King again and I will urge everyone else to do the same. Good bye Rural King.

If you've never been in a Rural King I highly recommend you check them out. They have everything…read moreneeded for your farming (or want to be farming) needs. One of the "favorites" is checking out the baby chicks one can purchase. That's right you can start eating fresh eggs grown in your own back yard (some may need to review their HOA rules, ha!). Tools with brand names Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Crescent are just some of the inventory names on hand. The store seems "crowded" with so much inventory but it's organized and laid out well. I found a few auto maintenance items including "rain-x", which, btw, works wonderfully on windshields. (I'd forgotten how much rain the Midwest has in the springtime.). The employees were helpful and friendly. The items I purchased were competitively priced. Check this place out, and don't forget to check out the chicks. :)

The real reason they said it was defective is because they listed the price wrong and didn't want to honor the advertised price. Then the store website would not allow me to write an honest review like this one, which exposes their illegal false advertising and poor tactics.

As I left the aisle to head out the door I saw a gentleman in a red vest which notified me that he was an employee of the store. He was very nice and willingly took the lead in helping me look for the medication that I needed. He was very helpful and thorough in his search for the medication which was out of stock. He was apologetic about the inconvenience of it being out of stock. I thanked him and went on my way to the doors with a smile on my face. Even though I was not able to get the medication I felt like he genuinely wanted to help me and that is a rare occurrence these days.

We called manufacturer he said go back to store..we ph' nice guy said Wow Really still problems!!! He said surprised it took us that long to call! We told him We used Our older GRAVELY! We stopped in to see if they could come to our place n fix it?? We told them we yhought maybe the arms where lil off? The boy in the back called MANAGER..HE CAME AT US LIKE A BULL READY TO JUMP NEGATIVE TO WHAT EVER SITUATION IT WAS!the young man that called didnt say what it was just come back there...we asked if they could come fix the mower..he said no! Well didnt set rt w hubby...wed been over n our inconvenience that they sold us a mower that wont start very often..we felt it was the arms prob. Manufacturer stated we had to take it where we bought fr..we were told only thing stores do is put the arms on n drive them off the truck!!!!! Manager said they dont do anything just drive off truck!!! Not thehre problem..A young man had already told us prior to the visit that included the manager..they put arms on n driv them off the truck! Ours were crooked! On visit i ckd other mowers on lot they all were not like ours..in conversation w managerhubby said the word dam n manager said no no no to that talk. Well we left upset naturally no help n not their problem we could bring it back n schedule appt to fix it..we had done that...they only ckd battery..nothing else cause it started for them..still on our trailer..that visit! Which comes to the expensive tool left on our trailer w the mower..that i made a trip back to deliver it..n come to find out the negative manger was only one around that area in sporting goods..that i gave it too! He said not everyone would do that! I said it was the right thing to do!!!!!!!! SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG REVIEW! She kept hanging up the phone because I kept catching her in lies…read more Both registers have "no tap" on the credit card machine but she claims she uses it daily to check out herself. When I said there was no way there's tape on it that says no tap she hung up. I called back and she pretended she couldn't hear me and hung up again. The third time she claimed that if I needed tap the cashier would have happily moved me to a different register that did take tap but he literally stood there staring at me, telling me I could "try" and refusing any other options, she claimed that's not true that I was probably the issue and hung up again. Seriously lady? The entire time we were dealing with our issue Karen was at the other register arguing with a woman who was being charged more for an item that is advertised at a lower price and Karen was refusing to lower the price because she says an employee changed the wrong sign. Unfortunately that is not how that works either Karen! Write the employee up, but that is the price shown on the shelf so the woman gets it at that price!

I have been taking my guy dogs here for the last year to be groomed and taken care of. The people…read morein the grooming department have gone out of their way to help me make sure my dog is comfortable and then I have the best program set up with all the extras that I want at a decent price, every time I take my guy dog in to be groomed which is monthly he's always very pleasantly happy and excited to go. He always knows that afterwards he's going to get a freshly baked cookie from the cookie bar that they keep well stocked. The store, it's good to keep most items in stock, and are willing to help you order something if it is not there.

I made a Yelp account JUST to share my horror story. I am not the kind who complains about…read moreanything. Well, I made my first ever corporate complaint phone call today. I'm not one to do that, but this situation is unacceptable. We took Sansa to Petco to get groomed today. We explained how she had gotten out of the fence and into god knows what, and that her underbelly was pretty matted in the process. We were aware that her belly may need to be shaved down to get some of the matting out, and I was ok with that. I reminded them that although she had a prescription for anxiety medication for when she is groomed, I was aware of Petco's policy of no sedatives, and just asked that if she was too anxious, they could call me and I'd just take her to the vet to be groomed another day under supervision of the vet if she had to be on the sedative, I was fine with that. The girl who took her said they'd do a quick check, call me in 15-20 minutes and let me know about what they might need to do about the matting, if they could cut it out, brush it out, or just in case it would need to be shaved, they'd at least call to let me know. TWO HOURS LATER, we still hadn't been contacted, so we just went in to get her. The manager came out, sheepishly said there'd be no charge, explained our dog was anxious and we could try another day, and they would allow her to take the anxiety medicine for that appointment. Then they brought her out and we saw why. They SHAVED MY ENTIRE HUSKY. Without my permission. Having been advised to call and let me know what would need done. I repeat, PETCO. SHAVED. MY. HUSKY. I'm so livid I literally cried. I called corporate and lodged a complaint, but realistically I know there's nothing they can do to make this better. They could fire the entire grooming staff and it still won't make my beautiful dog's coat come back any sooner. I'm devastated. So, the moral of this story is, DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED AT PETCO. Now excuse me while I take a nap because the combination of being extremely pregnant and sobbing my eyes out has exhausted me
