Food is consistent with all other Papparich restaurants however expect bad customer service. Been to this place twice but thought I'd give it a second chance and left frustrated.
First time we went, we'd ordered drinks as well as our main meals. Food came out quick but waiter forgot to give us the receipt for the bill. That was fine however after we were close to finishing our mains our drinks had not come. We enquired as to where they were, since it had been some time and the guy behind the counter making drinks was not busy. She then proceeded to ask us for our receipt for our order which we had not received. The table next to us 40 mins after us that just ordered even got their drinks first! Turns out the drinks order was not even put through the system and she had to reorder them. No form of apology was given for it or even discount.
Second time we went, the waitress was oblivious in taking our huge bulky menus away after I had to ask her politely to remove them twice, as they took up a lot of table space. Our noodle orders took an extra 25 mins to be served after the other mains, even the table next to us made a comment 'oh are noodle orders taking extra time today?' to the waitress. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not busy, it was practically empty. After paying I requested a tax invoice, where the waitress went on to tell me that they do not charge tax there. Is GST not a tax you charge?! Regardless I reworded my request and asked for a receipt since I thought she had misunderstood. She went to on argue that they only had the bill that they left on the tables for you to pay with and only eftpos receipts which is not true! I have dined at multiple Papparich restaurants, ALL of which have provided me with a tax invoice /receipt without argument! I tried explaining to her that she had to just reprint it on the system, it should include the business title and ABN, but she went on arguing saying they did not have receipts. She would not get another staff member to rectify the issue as she clearly did not understand my request even though I tried explaining it to he r. I thus left very frustrated as I felt I could not get my point across for the request of a simple receipt. I felt it seemed an awful lot of effort for one receipt.
I definitely would not dine here again, I would rather drive a little further to the Parramatta store where I would get proper service. Staff definitely need retraining. read more
