If you are in Dural this is probably one of the nicer places to come and have some food. However, it is on the expensive side (for this area). Be prepared to book before hand or you might not find a place to sit. Saying that I prefer the Baron or the Tuckshop over Wildpear - I think they have better coffee and more interesting food. But if you are looking for a good and big breakfast, then this is probably the place for you. So this cafe is also part of a nursery, which is part of its charm. If you sit at the back, on the veranda, you get to look out at all the plants that they have on offer. This is a family friendly place that gets extremely crowded on weekends. The all time seller is their big breakfast, which as the title goes it quite big. However, it isn't special just big. You get eggs, sausages, bacon and the whole shabang. But it will set you back a good $23. The atmosphere is nice, the staff are over run as this place is always busy. If you are looking for a place that is a bit different in the Dural area then come past, but if you want a coffee and a good quick breakfast I would not come here. I would go to the Tuckshop - but that is my personal opinion.

Summary: Expensive, poor service, fresh, quality ingredients but tasted bland and uninteresting. Upon entering the restaurant for lunch, it was packed and staff seemed disorganised, and we waited 7 mins for a waiter to greet us and be seated. Food was overpriced - the quality was there, you could tell the ingredients were really fresh, clean, and healthy, but there was no magic touch that distinguished the dishes from something I could cook myself, to restaurant quality food. For me, the enjoyment of dining out lies in tasting food that I'm not able to replicate at home myself, and if a restaurant can't deliver that, then it's money wasted. Interesting nursery at the back of the restaurant, but you can find much better nurseries in the area. It's as though the owners were too preoccupied with the restaurant and have let go of their management of the nursery.

This cafe was awesome! Went here for lunch on the weekend and it was quite packed but still managed to get a table outdoors. I had the pan fried gnocchi and it was very filling. Still had room for some dessert though, had the pecan pie with ice cream.. It was alright but wouldn't get it again, was abit too heavy. I've heard the breakfast is amazing! I will be back!

A sunny morning after Sydney storms, and reading what my fellow Yelpers said about this place, I ventured to the part of Old Northern Road that isn't on my regular trail. Arriving just before 9 the verandah area was already filled with couples and families. If you are coming here with friends or family I think you'd be wise to make a booking. The menu looked good. I like to see things that I wouldn't be bothered to make at home. This place gets big ticks already. I was SO tempted by the Sugar n Spice French Toast, but opted for Sweet Pea Felafel of poached eggs, haloumi & avo with 2 delicious pea falafels nestled in wonderful fresh herbs. Delicious! Probably ate too much as it was such a generous serve, but I told myself that I was getting my week's serve of greens in one sitting. I haven't finished my coffee, let alone paid the bill, but I'm already thinking about a return visit sometime soon to try something from the lunch menu.

An adorable place that never dissapoints. The food is always perfect, good quality and full of flavour (locally sourced too) The staff are very friendly/helpful and I particularly love the county house feel.

Great brunch. Really enjoy the vegetarian big breakfast and the chilli jam in the avocado and bacon stack was great. The only thing is that it would have been even better with more avocado.

I had been recommended to Wild Pear and it was certainly worth the hour drive.

Ok, I am really sorry to everyone who recommended this place to me. All those who live in the area…read moreare willing to offer their left arms for this place. However, for me this place wasn't that special - in a nut shell, it is expensive and you really don't get what you pay for. Every dish has to have some 'exotic' ingredient to justify the price, but I'm sorry, still not worth it. Don't misunderstand me, the food is good if you are willing to pay for it. But I think the most disappointing thing was the coffee, it was weak and quite average. And I came here in the morning, which is my spiritual coffee time! And instead of reaching self-enlightenment with my cup of coffee, I just got woken up. Specifically, as after eating here, I made sure that I drove past the Baron to get a real cup of coffee. I know that I am being harsh, but when you are paying $30+ for a breakfast and coffee I except a bit more. And sadly I don't think I got it.

Weather was predicted to dump all day but just as we approached Dural.... BAM!! Hello rain. But once we made it to the cafe, the cute outdoor seating was drenched. However inside was super cozy and the perfect place to hit out with a coffee. The kitchen was closed when we made it but a second wind for a second lunch totally could have happened. The burger sounded aahhhmazang!! The treat skim piccolo and a cheeky brownie totally hit the spot and the day was a success! The coffee was soooo good! I'm no coffee connoisseur but that cup was so smooth with some surprising character to compliment. (I'll get better with my coffee descriptions lol) They were using 5 senses beans and I'm always a fan of them I'm coming back for that burger!!

What a find. You wouldn't pick it, I came here on a friends advice. From afar looks like a place…read morethat mums hang out at after dropping their kids at school or after a gym session in the park across the road. Inside it has the coolest decor, wood tables, white chairs, succulent plants and the themed 'Gem' around the place, beautiful candles and would fit right in with any trendy CbD cafes. They advertise Toby's estate from out front so that's encouraging. Waitresses and waitress are trendy and very efficient. I read through the breakfast options; banana bread, messy Jesse burger (bacon, egg, mushroom, hash brown), smashed Avi, brekie bowl, breakfast salad (spinach, strawberries, walnuts, Haloumi and avo), eggs your way, scrambled egg board with labne, waffles, eggs benedict and they also have lunch options; falafel stack, burgers, salads and salt and pepper squid. So much to choose from. It was still early so I had the brekky bowl, a huge bowl of yoghurt with homemade granola, seasonal fruits - today was strawberries and banana, with chia seeds, pistachios and honey. Prices are good, thus was $12 and everything ranges from $6 up to about $18. Really nice and Id love to come back for other stuff! They also had killer shakes; cookies and cream, strawberries and cream, salted caramel, banana split, vanilla bean. I got the vanilla bean which was a vanilla milkshake topped with cream, jelly beans, sprinkles and a freddo frog. Children would love this. Great cafe if you're in the area or Id certainly recommend the drive to find it.

The food is average and the coffee is always bitter. The milkshakes were the biggest disappointment- they are so thin it seems like there is no ice-cream in it and it literally just tasted like milk, not the vanilla flavour I ordered.
