When they showed up for the estimate, they took pictures of all the work that was needed and as I pointed out things that I thought someone else would be needed, they said they could handle that too. Their estimate was very fair so I hired them right away. They came early, notifying me of their arrival beforehand and got to work right away. They took a hopeless yard that looked like a jungle and turned it into a yard that I hadn't seen since I moved into my house. The right side of the house, if you look at the pictures, was horrible. Now it's perfect! Not seen in the pictures is the left side of the house, where weeds were coming up through the concrete tiles, those are now all gone! My backyard patio also had bad weeds coming up and now you don't even notice anything bad was there. They are such great people too - fun to talk to and nice people. I decided to hire them to do maintenance on an ongoing basis because of how happy I am with their work. They came in, cleared everything, and made it look pretty in about less than a week. They'll give you step by step instructions on what needs to be done to get your grass to grow, how to kill the weeds, and they give you suggestions on what types of flowers to get. What I like about these guys are that they are so personable, and it's more than just a business for them - it is their passion. Working with them has been such a great experience so far, and I'm looking forward to them making my yard look even better.

The owner kept making…read moreexcuses about why he couldn't keep promises or plans, couldn't get the color correct although he stated "I wrote everything down" When I confronted him about not being happy he threatened me called me a "little boy" and he "wished he'd seen me outside" I spoke to the supplier, who stated he's done this more than once. I made a police report regarding his verbal threats to me and my mother. He continued saying "hang up the phone I'll kick your ass right now" when I hung up, he verbally continued to threaten physical harm but refused to speak or actually approach, idle threats. He's an absolute joke, nothing but a salesman with a bad attitude, every serious question we had was followed up with "I'm the best" "I've been in business for 20+ years" and a ridiculous display of photos from a book that weren't even close to what we were discussing. It was a hand selected proof of narcissistic display of his ego. James lost two jobs mine and my parents house and his exact words were "you think I give a fuck about these two" A clear indication of how he feels about "customers" If you read the plenty of one star reviews on both Google and Yelp, they have a consistent pattern of excuses, unkept promises and a poor attitude. If you check out all of my reviews you'll notice that when a business does right I'm quick to compliment and praise. My messages to the owner (James) and my patter of praise when deserved will solidify that I do not write reviews to hurt genuine businesses as James said I would do while threatening to physical assault me. My evidentiary proof and pattern of honest reviews will speak for themselves. I have never ever called the police on a business owners actions. This is certainly a first and should scream red flags to anyone considering work with James.

I've tried to reach and out and call him since the job has been completed to see what we could do to remedy this and he doesn't answer my calls or texts. I had my boyfriend call on an unknown number and he answered and said we would have to pay to have it fixed. I texted him saying I explained the situation to a friend that was planning to use him which then got his attention. He texted back saying to call that he doesn't respond to texts, which I did but his mailbox was full and he wasn't returning calls. I called him and he said I could pay him for a drainage system and that it was a difficult driveway. If I would have known it was "too difficult" for him I would have never hired him. This is no way to conduct business or to back your work. Very disappointed.

Half of them did not show up at all. Mike and Richie were very nice, without the hard sell that some of the other firms pushed. Their prices were much more reasonable and they were friendly and easy to work with. They actually came out to our house twice, because brfore we hired them, the project evolved as we spoke to a few different companies. In the end we had them replace our back patio, enlarge it a bit, and add a rounded area to put a dining table. We also replaced walkways and stoops. Luckily we contacted them early in the season and the day prior to the start of work we had 5 inches of snow on the ground. Mike and Richie were here every day (and not just stopping in once or twice) making sure that the crew and material was there and the job was proceeding properly. The crew worked very hard in dreadful weather. It was very cold with light rain most of the week and they worked right through it like champs. The whole job took about a week even with the weather. While the phrase is often beaten to death, these guys really did go "above and beyond." For example, they had to dismantle my plastic fence in order to get the big machine in the backyard. They put it back together and the gate latch now works better than the original installation did. Also, While we never discussed it, they buried a plastic utility pipe for future use and came with topsoil to cover where the tires had ruined the grass and smooth it all out, AlI have to do is re-seed and re-adjust the sprinklers. They also operate Kohler landscaping, so easy peasy.

His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. They clearly know what they're doing and worked efficiently -- the whole job only took a couple of hours. The price was very fair for the amount of work and the risks involved.
