There were about 20 books I had purchased for my 90 year old dad and I was hoping to use the credit there to buy him one or two new reads. For all the books I brought in my 'offer' was $4.53!!! The cashier was very welcoming and clearly loved books from the conversations I overheard him having with customers. It took us a bit to figure out where the book's price was listed. They stamp it inside the book (usually within the first 5 pages) along with a date. I personally don't like when a bookstore writes the price using a permanent method. However, I know other people feel like it shows the book's life journey and appreciate seeing where a book came from.

The older woman told us they normally don't do book purchasing on Wednesdays, but because it was our first time there, she would make an exception. She gave us instantly $10 credit and told us she would look over the books, and we would be getting more credit due to the quality and quantity of the books. We waited in the store which mind you was not busy at all. Just 2 other people checked out while we were there for over 2 hours. We had to get going and the woman (I believe she is the manager or owner,) said to just leave the books and we would get a decent amount of credit and it would be on her account when we returned. Fast forward to July 25th my wife called to see how much credit she had gotten since we had not been there since we dropped off the books. They claimed that she didn't have any credit left. They basically stole the rest of the books from us. I guess it was our mistake not insisting that they complete the credit before we left. I mean it shouldn't take 2+ hours to find out how much credit they would give her. Sure, if they had been busy, I would be more understanding. After they called her back and told her they overpaid her for her brand-new condition hard cover books, they hung up on her when she told them she was very displeased with the situation. Not only that but they had her contact information prior to today and she found out they simply donated the ones they didn't want instead of giving them back to her. This place is not trustworthy.
