She said she found Rogers…read morePark Florist by googling floral shops near me and had a great experience working with the staff to pick out which flowers to include. She didn't catch the name of the woman she worked with on the phone but raved about her energy and how helpful she was. I appreciated that they made sure everything was cat friendly, no lilies here! A gentleman called to confirm my availability for a delivery and it was easy to give instructions on where to leave the flowers. He was so friendly! They were delivered with care. The bouquet is simply gorgeous and I cannot stop looking at it. I will definitely work with Rogers Park Florist next time I need fresh flowers!

DON'T, I suggest, just don't! This florist was commissioned…read moreto provide a large floral wreath for a mature man's memorial; we wanted an elegant and understated arrangement (photo below was from the catalog) Highly unfortunate, Roger's Park Florist substituted the large orchids for large sunflowers (note: several very small orchids were there but not readily visible) This substitution drastically pivoted the sentiment, wherein we were looking to convey statesman, rather we got a very very nice arrangement, but one that was more whimsical and glaring... borderline garish for a somber event In that I am not an expert I did a quick google search prior to my review and... not surprisingly... no...sunflowers are not an appropriate substitution for orchids. First, orchids are hot house flowers so should be available year round. Second, the family should have been contacted for approval prior to such a severe change. Lastly , dang the florist substituted a high market value flower for a exceedingly less costly alternative (we were never offered a discount for the substitute) If you can imagine ordering the photo below... but on that special day getting a sunflower arrangement, poorly done Roger's Park Florist, poorly done

I use smart…read moredevices in my home and asked Google to provide options between my current location and the campus. I'd forgotten about this little florist shop. The app noted that I had visited some years back when they had a sidewalk sale on potted plants. I took a quick look online and called to place an order. I was on a schedule and wanted to watch her walk. Had I planned the bouquet in advance, surely I could have either saved more on purchasing elsewhere (grocery) or benefited from the use of a more well known florist. I say this as I'm reading some of their lesser starred reviews. Since inflation hit over the past many years, florists too have had to increase pricing. Some shops charge much more than this and it's always a roll of the dice depending on the title of the person creating your order. Ie arrangement stylist (lol) So, rather than placing an order online and hoping for the best, it's wise to call and talk. I chose an option from their website's selections for graduates. I forget the name of the actual but it contained flowers in blues and whites. Wrapped in a blue ribbon similar to colors used at graduations. I thought she would enjoy the usage of large lilies. For the price I thought it looked smaller (I think more baby's breath or tiny flower sprays could have been used) but that's how it goes when shopping online versus real life of what florists have in stock. While we discussed options the florist noted which are or can become bouquets VS what are simply table displays or would be too small. One tip I have for you, use the website to give you an idea of color schemes and presentation types. Then think what's your budget for the bouquet and how much extra it could cost for the display to meet your standards. Some mass floral sites like FTD or Proflowers offer options for the bouquet. Such as, the base is ie $60. To make a bolder statement, add $10. To make it huge, add $20. These were some of the details I discussed with the florist. All in all, I received compliments from Moms and ladies on my walk to the campus. But the icing was watching her walk, congratulating her and offering this bouquet. If there was anything, I wish they could have wrapped the bouquet in white tissue then the standard plastic on the outside. I think that usage of tissue would have made the bouquet appear larger and more pleasing. If I'd been there as they were wrapping up, I would have asked for that addition. (Some of the extra details above are simply for your consideration and not necessarily a judgement against their abilities. In my life I have given and created many bouquets, so, I have an idea of what I want and how to attain the look) Thanks Lou's.

It is not hard to miss- 5000 Lincoln Ave. They have a myriad of selections of flowers ranging from ECUADOR to places all over the world! They are very knowledgeable with their flowers/roses/ and their craft and presentation before they sell it is more than amazing ( the presentation!). Most people may say flowers are overrated, but nahh I disagree wholeheartedly, its the thought that counts. Providing these is just one part. How you proceed in delivering it is what matters! Now the flowers tell a story! Prices are fair, but that doesn't even matter because the thought, the gift is all within your creativity! That's priceless. The florist here knows that. Go check em out!

The delivery driver left the flowers in the apartment lobby without the gift note. My brother even texted back asking if the driver could leave them in the mail room since their building doesn't have a front desk, but instead they were left unattended in the lobby. Because there was no note identifying who they were for, someone ended up taking them. This completely defeated the purpose of sending a birthday gift. I'm very disappointed with the delivery service and won't be ordering from here again.
