I made an appointment and they were able to fit me in after about 3 weeks (but my schedule was kind of crazy so that was partly my fault). When I arrived at the office I realized I had forgotten my insurance card at home :-( They were iffy to see me, but after about 20 minutes the receptionist was able to look up my information online and get me seen. I had to wait a while, as they were very busy, but it was okay. When they first brought me to the back they showed me into the Doctors actual office. I sat down and waited for Paul, MD to come in. He arrived after a few minutes and we had a 10 minute conversation about my family, medical history, any problems, and then my present and future concerns. He was really friendly and his demeanor was just very welcoming and put me at ease. After we chatted he called a nurse in and then she brought me to an exam room. I changed into my gown and then she took my vitals. She was super nice and friendly and we had a nice little conversation while she was doing everything. BEST PART: when she took my blood I didn't feel ANYTHING at all. She was the best blood-taker I have ever had! After a few more minutes Dr. Paul came in and examined me. He just did the usual and everything was normal. He said he would contact me by phone or email in the next few weeks with my blood results. It was about 4 days and I had an email from the Doctor with my results. Everything turned out perfect and I will definitely be returning to this doctor, and recommending him to anyone in need.

I went back a few weeks later for back pain and she seemed very rushed and dismissive. She said she was going to refer me to an orthopedist , I said I went to a few already. She continued to give me a referral for an orthopedist on told me to make an appointment. When I got home I looked at the referral and it was for and arm orthopedist, not even for back pain. I now found out that she left the practice and did not give any information as to where she was going. I had not intended on going back to her but my friend who had been a long time patient of hers was not even given information as to where she was going.

She has no warmth - even when she smiles she comes off as cold and super private. She does not call after her strict hours or on weekends -- A few summers ago, she was aware of when I was extremely sick - and I was out of town , and in pain - it was impossible to get through the Northwell Health phone line, and when I did, she was not there, and I don't recall a prompt call back. She does not come in to the office every day. Most recently I required an urgent fill of asthma inhaler as i was out of town and had forgotten mine. It was mid week and plenty of time for it to get done on business hours. I never received the prescription or the call back. Needless to say I'm looking for a new doctor. I didn't have to wait extremely long as other patients stated but if there was a wait I think it was because she takes time to go over things with you and might cover other things than what you expected in your visit. I waited maybe 30 minutes my first visit and ten minutes on the follow up visit. The office is lovely in a good location just be prepared to wait for the elevator because this building is notorious for its slow and out of order elevators but at no fault of the Dr. Also it's a door man building. Their protocol is for you to get billing codes for procedures from them and check with your insurance to see if you are covered. If you don't mind having to call your insurance company it's no big deal. I got an email from the Drs office saying it was because they don't have the resources to call on every procedure and it's to avoid any surprise bills but my insurance told me in writing if any procedure performed is not medically necessary the office has to inform you before it may not be covered and get written consent you accept that and the patient is not responsible otherwise and there should never be. The Dr wanted to go over my first visit test results by televisit and they have a form you have to sign by email but they said they would mail it to me but said also verbal acceptance was only necessary not signed form so there sometimes is a bit of miscommunication of information at the front desk so just follow up. Also if you want to write the office with a question apparently there is a portal as well that you have to set up a televist which the Dr prefers.
