This is for the Rolling Meadows location we ordered a small pizza for pick up . We were told 20-30 min. We live 5min. Away we were there in 15 minutes. When we returned home the crust was like cardboard and the pizza was ice cold. I called and talked to the owner and he kept telling me it was my fault. I definitely wanted to try a different spot than Giordano's this year, and this place didn't disappoint. The pizza held together very nicely, and I was pleasantly surprised. The taste was spot on, and it didn't feel overwhelming. The spot was more like a Mom and Pop shop, but those places generally are the best gems to uncover. Ordered Papa Saverio's Pizza for a takeaway by calling them and this pizza is a unique flavor and taste. A friend enjoys this on the thin crust side so that is what we opted to try. Got two different topping pizzas and one calzone for the little one. Didn't know that the calzone was large. So large that the kid could barely finish half of it but he said it tasted good. The two different pizzas we got were vegetables and another that was meat. I like how the crust is thin so you don't fill up with just bread. Overall I'm glad we for to check this place out and try a different style of pizza in Chicago. read more

Normally I don't have any issues and the food has been consistently good. However, I tried to call in my order and was disconnected 3 times. To order via website is fine but does not have the daily specials listed. I'm not sure if I'm getting the special price portion or not. We'll see. Improvement on answering the phone orders would be advised. read more

Double dough is an interesting choice. It's somewhere near a pan style baked pizza, but with toppings replacing the dough of the body of the pie like deep dish (save the edge crust which is really thick on its own). The flavor of the pizza, therefore, is entirely dependent on the toppings you select, so make sure you really like them because it's not a garnish situation lol. The only tip would be to season the edge crust. Otherwise, double dough feels fairly dry without some kind of associated dipping sauce (it is firm, not particularly chewy). This issue is solved on the second-day helping if you nuke it in the microwave for a bit to make the dough itself a bit more soft, but otherwise, a brush of seasoned butter might help here. read more

Good pizza but don't leave a cash option when your delivery guy (KOMIRE,VIKHYATH) can't give the customer change. $27 that should've been $24 for an 18 inch pizza (I used a free delivery code that still added the $3 deliver fee but dismissed it because I like the pizza and like to support smaller businesses..... also by providing cash for which is beneficial to the business as well as the delivery driver). $27.51... asked for change for a $40. He asked me how much, I said $5 change (which I thought $6 but should've been $9 was generous provided we live in a large apartment building and I came down for the pizza)... he went to his car and came back and said "sorry ma'am I only have $3". So I paid $40 for a $21 pizza that wasn't even delivered to my door and was bamboozled into giving the delivery driver more because he didn't have change. This is wrong on so many levels. We ordered Cheezie Breadsticks and the Favorite Four pizza for delivery. I always request the pizza is not cut because when you cut a hot pizza and put it in a tight cardboard box the sauce leaks into the bottom of the box and the crust gets soggy, sometimes sticking to the box. Papa Saverio's did cut our pizza and shocker the crust was soggy and stuck to the box. On top of this, the pizza tasted bad. They didn't have a good ratio of crust, sauce, toppings, and cheese. I would say that there was a soggy crust, minimal sauce, too much cheese, and big chunky toppings. They were generous with the toppings (sausage, mushroom, green pepper, onion), but big, chunky toppings with too much cheese leaves them smothered and they don't cook. So we had undercooked veggies. Finally, the Cheezie Breadsticks were just ok. They were a little burnt and don't come with enough marinara dipping sauce. I rarely give less than a 3 for pizza because it's pretty hard to mess up to the point I dislike it, but we were disappointed on too many things to give even a decent score. I mean come on....... I've lived down the street from here my entire life. The pizza is decent but raising the price from $5...to $6....to $7.... Now $8 for 2 slices!!!!!!! They raise their prices every couple months it seems. Inflation aside, this is insane. I come here all the time but will go to other places from now on. Insane. Whee! At first I was worried about this place. Their webite didn't have the thin crust Italian Beef listed as one of their speciality pizzas. I called and asked the friendly voice on the other end if she knew anything about this; and if not, would they be able to recreate it. She told me many people in this town ask for it. Hurray! If you're not familar with this, it's their Italian beef sandwich converted into a pizza with its natural juices, mozzarella cheese and hot (mild or both) Giardiniera peppers. I like mine extra thin & crispy but not burnt. WIth tonight's weather, it took almost a full hour for delivery to make it to my Sister's house. She is only a mile away from this location. I had the driver wait inside her home while I collected money to pay him. How embarassing was it for me to slip and fall right in front of him? My friend's father passed away and we as a hockey team decided to send him a meal for him and his family. We are in Atlanta and I googled pizza places near by. Not only was the meal great and easy to order... I got the wrong address, we tried to surprise them and I found their address but didn't know they had moved. The delivery driver said this was the wrong place, I said hold on. I made a call and googled again and got the new address and he happily went out of his way to the new address like it was no big deal. I offered to Venmo him a tip and he said don't worry bout it. My first visit here was really good, I had the cheese raviolis and they were delicious - but I cannot say my second visit went as smoothly. I went here on Saturday for carry-out. We ordered their baked mostaccioli with meat sauce, chicken parmesan, breaded mushrooms, and two salads and asked for silverware as well - I was told my order would be ready in around thirty minutes. I arrived around 35 minutes later after I placed my order and the place was more crowded than normal so I ended up waiting a bit longer for my food, maybe 15 minutes - not a big deal, but not ideal. Once I got home and unloaded my bag, I noticed my mostaccioli was smashed in and not even halfway sealed, the chicken within my chicken parmesan looked like tyson chicken nuggets, majority of my salads had brownish leaves which told me the lettuce was old, and I had no silverware as requested. You can't beat free pizza. Well, it's not free for everyone. I just move to the area and Papa Saverios was kind enough to send me a certificate for a free pizza as a welcome to the area. I got an extra large pizza with a couple toppings and it was free. I did order some wings as well. My experience was pretty good, and this is a place I would probably order from again. With that said, it may not have been the best pizza I've ever had, but it was really good. I got the thin crust with extra cheese and sausage. There was a lot of cheese, but it was just a little light on the tomato sauce. That's ok because I don't like tons of the sauce anyway. The chicken wings were also pretty good. I live really close to here and I wish this could be my go to pizza place. -Slice are pretty good -Full pizzas are not as good as the slices, some kind of voodoo there.The pizzas are not consistent, sometimes they are pretty decent, and sometimes like last night, I didn't want to finish it. -The hours are convenient, a lot of pizza places in the area have wacky hours, leading us to Papa Saverio's Overall a good place to run in for slices but not a place I like to get a full pie from. read more
