I love Paps Murphys when they were in San Jose. So much so I traveled to Scott's Valley to pick up 3 pepperoni and olive pizzas. Not cheap. Tipped 15% with online order! I ordered extra pep and olive. Compared to the San Jose locations the pizzas were bad! I'm done with Papa Murphys. I placed an email with headquarters. Folks look elsewhere. read more

Dude that was working today at 5:00pm on 2/15/2026 tried to scam me. Told me he couldn't make a medium or large size just the family size & said he couldn't make the garlic butter knots. Like what do you mean you can't make a smaller size pizza at a pizza shopand still try and charge me the same price for the larger size I did not want! Told him to cancel my order & I left. Ingredients are fresh and they give you a generous amount of toppings. I ordered a large vegetarian pizza and it was only $10. Hi haven't done a review in awhile. I receive text offers from Papa Murphy's pizza often. This particular one was for 2 topping large for $10.99. Sounded good. But it was online only. No problem but their website was bad. Signed and created an account. So first step was to find a location. Did that then to main page. So found the special I was looking for. So clicked on the order now button. Was directed back to the pick your location page. Was in this loop for to long. I was in the store doing this. Made a comment to employees that their website sucked. The comments were oh well. Then they said sorry can't help you. I then asked for the owners number. Again sorry can't do that. He said you could talk to the manager but he doesn't speak English again. All and all your employees are the backbone of your business. Pick them well. read more

Recent delivery order was a NIGHTMARE! We ordered 2 pizzas on their website and one of them was incorrect. The manager cannot speak English and had an employee talk to us. She refused to make it right and said they'd ONLY refund the pizza cost which doesn't cover the cost to re-order! She even told my sick wife to drive there and bring the incorrect pizza to swap! This was my first time with take home pizza so it could be because I am inexperienced. First, I went to pick up 3 pizzas under my name that was ordered earlier in the day. When I got there, the person in the restaurant didn't not speak English and didn't understand that I had 3 pizzas so I had to point and help myself to them. Then when I got home to "cook" them, I was confused about the instructions because I was cautious about putting what looked like a paper tray into the oven. My pizzas where thin crust and they were literally glued to the tray before they were placed in the oven. I was so afraid I was going to set my kitchen ablaze but I didn't. The instructions mentioned that if I wanted the crust to be crispy, I should remove the pizza and place it directly on the oven rack for the last five minutes so I tired. I was not an easy task but after the first one I understood what the instructions meant. It was still not an easy task because the crust was thin and floppy. The pizza was good but I don't know if the lower price was worth all the work. read more

Horrible service, ordered online, showed up at time they told me to. One lady was talking with her friend who was hanging out near the counter while she made my pizza. It took her 20 minutes because she was distracted to make mine. That was the only pizza they rolled out while I was waiting. Used to love that place, was friends with the previous owner. Papa Murphy's has always been my favorite pizza joint, used to be the best pizza around, and then, sadly the pizza shops in Santa Cruz county started disappearing, it brang me such joy of still always having one left, in Scott's Valley, still with the bestest of pizza. Well that changed quick when suddenly it appears to have new ownership and the service is absolutely horrible, the pizza itself has gone downhill while the prices have gone up. $24 for a pizza I got yesterday and after cooking it, unfortunately the quality have gone downhill as well. I guess all good things come to an end, I could get two pizzas already cooked AND delivered for that price and they'd prob be juicier... I bet it won't be long til this one disappears too. read more

My aunt came down from Colorado we ordered a combination Pizza I swear a frozen pizza from Safeway would have been just as good the only thing they had put on the combination Pizza was a few chips of pepperoni and olives and hardly any sauce or cheese. read more

Ordered a pizza online at 6 with a pickup time of 7pm for a party. Pizza was not even started due to employees hanging out with their buddies. On top of that they failed to put the artichoke hearts on when I paid extra for them. The owner does not respond to poor customer service complaints. I use to frequent this place but at this point I won't even bother coming back. read more

We ordered a stuffed pizza here tonight. We spent extra money ordering veggies to put inside- only to discover, as we got the pizza, that the employees had only put the extra toppings on the top of the pizza (as in, maybe a half handful of toppings total). We called, expecting to sort the issue out, only to have the employee say, and I am quoting "well what do you expect me to do about it?" I don't know, do your job is potentially what I am expecting? So we paid like $4 for 20 cents worth of veggies and was basically told off upon trying to correct the mistake. Good job! read more

Great take and bake pizza. We really enjoy the skinny crust delight pizza's with 1/2 the calories and all of the taste. The one with the artichoke hearts & chicken is wonderful. All the kids that work there are friendly and you can always find good coupons in the mail or in the paper. If you give them a call, your pizza is ready and waiting when you get there. read more

Pizza is ok but is overpriced without coupons. They've switched to single use electronic coupons that can only be used online. They don't accept ebt payment online and no longer allow you to order online and pay in store. Corporate says this is up to the individual franchise owners. I used to buy several pizzas every week but now.... I go somewhere else. read more

Love papa Murphy's but when I went in today I bought a cheesy bread which they told me I could grab out of the case. When I looked there was none left so I let him know. He then told me that I couldn't have one then because he usually only makes them in the morning and wasn't going to make more the rest of the day. I was confused because they have made them fresh for me many times and that seems to be a big part of their franchise is to make their things infront of you when you order. I ordered and paid for it online. My order was ready when I got there. The Thai chicken pizza for $14 was over priced for what I got. The Keto all meat dish was $14 and would have been enough toppings to put on a 8 inch pizza. Nothing special in quality or quantity - and everything is $14. Next time I will buy a good quality frozen pizza at the grocery store and add a few toppings. read more

Try a thin crust sausage pizza. Slide it off the tray after 10 minutes and bake for another 2 to 3 minutes then cut it in squares (Chicago Style) and you will enjoy an authentic tasting Chicago Pizza. Reminds me of home in the Midwest. Better than anything anywhere near Santa Cruz. read more

Good pizza. I usually get the Mediterranean chicken with regular crust. It's quite tasty and the ingredients seem fresh. The staff are friendly but quite young so service is a bit rough around the edges...to be expected. After all, it's a takeout pizza joint. Overall, a good deal for good, fresh food. read more

Have been a big Papa Murphys Pizza fan for at least 15 years but...first of all, they took away $1`0 Tuesdays, and second of all...their prices have gotten outrageous!!! $14 for a large uncooked pizza is just insane.
